441  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MTGOX STOLE MY BTC (CONFIRMED + OTHERS SAYING SAME!!) on: December 20, 2013, 10:05:27 AM

Same here, lost $20,000 in BTC to Mt. GOX. have contacted a lawyer who is very active in the BTC community, and he said that he would take my case for BTC. OR if i found 30-50 people with documented proof of this fraud that he would file a securities class action suit against MT Gox on our behalf for 10%.  So if you have DOCUMENTED proof of you being done wrong by Mt. Gox please let me know. Even if we dont get our money back, we will keep them tied up in litigation for so long they cannot afford to operate and will have to shut down anyways. One way or another we can prove that you dont mess with the Bitcoin Community because we stick together and fight back.

sign me up for that. 39 days and counting on my wire withdrawal and not even a response to my inquiry. My dad has an account with 31 coins in it he can't even access. they claim his email is not associated with the account when I know it was.  Won't even give him the opportunity to verify his account.

I cannot believe noobs these days... Early this year it took almost 3 months to receive some transfers from mtgox...man up people.

Bitcoin trading is not for the faint of heart, when old farts say that mtgox xfers are slow...it means that you shouldn't be surprised when you have to wait 1-2-3 months Cheesy

The problems started when mr 'murica looted mtgox in the first place.

Gentlemen, thank you for all the advices and even summaries of the great advices. ;-)

I have successfully used the inbuilt reporting function of the forum to report the phishing attempt.

444  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Community-run list of Bitcoin merchants (help me fill it!) on: December 10, 2013, 11:00:13 AM
What methods do you use to keep scammers at bay?

Are there any volunteers checking the list or does it have some kind of upvote system?
445  Economy / Services / Re: Any reputable penetration testers around? on: December 09, 2013, 04:41:59 PM
I'm not sure if he accepts BTC, but Kevin Mitnick is tops in the game when it comes to pen testing.  Check out his setup: http://mitnicksecurity.com/

That is like suggesting someone to hire Brad Pitt if they need an actor for a Youtube video :-)

Cheesy made my day.
446  Other / Meta / Re: Got a personal message from a member with phishing link on: December 09, 2013, 04:41:12 PM
There's a report to X button in the lower corner, that's the fastest way.

Thank you for the help.

449  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why didn't you sell? on: December 07, 2013, 09:55:29 PM
I didn't sell because I couldn't care less about the exchange rate or whether it will go up or down.

No payout here either. This time I guess it affects everyone.

453  Economy / Services / Any reputable penetration testers around? on: November 20, 2013, 08:12:24 PM
I would prefer a reputable company with proven history accepting bitcoin for this service.

Any suggestions welcome.
454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your Bitcoin Endgame on: November 20, 2013, 06:11:06 PM
my vote is:

Sell bitcoin for fiat.
Buy things with bitcoin.
Hold bitcoin a long time.

I completely agree. Why would anyone do only 1 thing?

I just hope we continue to see more and more legitimate accepting places.
455  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: November 20, 2013, 02:55:45 PM
I have not checked AMC for a long time, but I have seen that dividends have stopped last month, would anyone care to explain the latest news?

Browsing through some of the latest posts  they contain mostly noise. I would appreciate any help..

I heard to bitfunder is closing too. Is there a guide on how to transfer shares?
456  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-11-14 NY regulator considers bitcoin regulation license on: November 15, 2013, 09:11:10 AM
And this is the moment when all supporters of bitcoin should contact this regulator flooding them with emails and mails saying NO to this nonsense.

457  Economy / Services / Re: Typhoon Haiyan Relief Fund (.org, et al. registered to raise $1M USD) on: November 13, 2013, 09:53:41 AM
Well, if you want to ensure that 90% of your funds do not go to the Philippines, then donate to the Red Cross.

And I really don't find Rassah to be all that trustworthy in an endeavor such as this.  Atheists typically don't do this sort of work (it's more often Christians who are unselfish), so I have to admit it's a strange choice for me to be sure.

You made me laugh. Religion haven't got anything to do with selfishness. Just because the religions have a loud propaganda it doesn't mean they operate that way or that normal people are selfish.
458  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CoinMap - Map showing places where Bitcoin is accepted on: November 12, 2013, 09:38:59 AM
Recently your site became very laggy. I would say it's getting pretty much useless and I think it would be important to make it usable again, as it's recommended for newbies a lot of times on various forums.

Do you still actively develop it? I would donate some BTC if you do.
459  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: all4btc.com < But off Amazon with Bitcoin < Is this legit? on: November 04, 2013, 12:43:45 PM
anyone tried this yet?

There are a lot of mentions for all4btc in various forums but I couldn't find any user reviews so far which is quite concerning.
