Don't trust calculators. You're missing one huge piece of variable: difficulty. Do you think the difficulty's going to stay like that all year?

I would get USB riser cables myself because they use individually shielded twisted pairs for data, but if you are dead set on cheap ribbon cables then I would get the x1-x16 powered version. Keep them short though, 7" or 19cm is standard IIRC. Longer ones may work, but like I said pci-e communication is a balanced pair of data lines. The longer (or wider, as in more pci-e lanes) they get, the higher the chance the noise can't be "comp'ed" out. If you get to that point, you'll have erratic mining behavior, or no mining at all. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twisted_pairThanks for the help, found it very valuable. So if I get these, do I need anything else with them? They're powered via SATA right? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/PCI-E-PCI-E-Express-1x-to-1X-4x-8x-16x-Riser-Extender-Adapter-Card-with/944387438.html

Well, shows how much I don't know I guess... so should I just get powered x1-x16 risers instead? In that case I'll order some straight away

Thanks for the heads up, didn't know about that! I just read about the AX1200 review on jonnyguru: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=189Says that there are "6+2 pin PCIe (610mm) 6" slots So I'm assuming that there's enough for 3 280x. Also, the pictures show 8 8-pin connectors, and I assume that there are enough cables as well... wouldn't make any sense for them not to provide enough cables

Can anyone from the Dev team give us an explanation why all other coins are rising/falling in price according to Bitcoin's value, while LOT seems stuck on 10 satoshi? Is it because of multipools? If so, can any fix be implemented to resolve such a problem?

Seems like LOT settled nicely in the 16-18 satoshi range. Now that there's some form of stability, time to work double-hard on promotion!

Wouldn't it be a bit more productive to discuss the coin rather than going on for pages about particular users?
I'd say it is hindering the thread by making casual observers less likely to want to post.
Exactly. All this bickering put me off this coin a little bit... can't understand why everyone won't just grab hold of the same rope and pull together. If this coin can't weather this rough period, then it will just go down as one of the failed coins we've seen so far.

The million-dollar question is - what does this coin have which makes it different from all the other "professional" coins out there?
|
|
|
Can't really expect to have any good feedback unless you post proper details of the coin pre-launch. Post-launch provision of info smells too much like scamming and mining the heck out of the coin when no one's interested in it 'cause of the bad launch.
