Pfft... I told you about it 6 weeks ago. You missed a couple waves, but at least you're getting in at a good bottom. Wink

Lots of big players around. Coherent price speculation is not for the amatuer anymore. I've made my play and I'm sticking to it. The price will either go up, or down. I'm not going to waste any time worrying about it, or be swayed by devious plays designed to shake out spooked investors.  Wink

This is exactly how I feel. In fact, I stopped watching the market last week after I bought more. I don't give a rat's ass if it goes down because there WILL be growth in the future. In the short term anything can happen, and there's simply no use worrying about it. I'm in and I'm staying in. In a couple months it won't matter where it's been. The only people who will lose are the people who sell in times like this. Let's also remember that much of what's happening is related to fear in the BTC market. Those of us who have been around a few years know times like these come and go. You just have to ride them out and remind yourself that BTC and START are not going anywhere, and for the love of god, buy low, sell high. This is NOT when you sell. This is when you consider buying more.

when this coin up to 100k?

When you stop talking like a caveman.

-> When IS this coin GOING up to 100k?

Everything is annoying me today. Especially Bitcoin. When can we trade start with USD, GBP, and EUR?

40 -> 20

It's funny. On the depth chart I can see three distinct levels. Around 30k you have the "god dammit, I sold too late" crowd. Around 34k you have the "don't worry, it'll be back" crowd. And around 40k you have the "next surge please!" crowd.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: August 12, 2015, 07:27:22 PM
I could be wrong, of course, but if the next surge comes soon enough I wouldn't sell off at 35k. I'd *start* to sell something at 35k, but would probably only sell down to half by 40k. Then wait for a correction back to about 30k. There's a lot more support now, and with the rising floor there's a lot of buy pressure building and a lot of whales giving up on their fantasies of picking up 20 BTC worth sub-20k. That 35k cap probably won't survive another surge. It was obvious to me this time, though, that momentum was faltering at 34k. I hate ending up back where I started with nothing to show for it. That's why, when the crowd is buying, I'm slowly selling, and when the crowd is selling, I'm slowly buying. I'm all in right now... BEFORE any surge. And next time it hits a wall and falls back I'll hopefully have half my coins sold once again... BEFORE it falls back. Momentum gets easier to judge over the years.

Those sell walls were FOR SALE. They weren't placed out of reach, they were placed where someone hoping to make a larger purchase could nab them without having to mess with little buys. Since large buyers are just as likely to place small buy orders as small sell orders, there's often more demand than you see on the books, especially when the price is surging. No one wants to put a 5 or 10 BTC order on the book and scare the price up, getting nothing themselves.

Also, 34/35k has been a point of resistance at least three times, which eventually creates a self-fulfilling prophecy as people try to take profits before the price falls back. Prices don't go up in a straight line. There are surges, corrections, consolidations... we currently are seeing higher lows, so the floor is rising, but it can only rise so fast. The people who sold off at 34-35k turned out to be the smart ones. It's not manipulation. It's trading the swings, selling on spikes, buying on dips, etc.

I sold half my stash at 34k. I rebought it at 27k. I'm not a manipulator, I'm a trader. Trading is not manipulation. Let's remember the block halving is still 2+ months away and until then we're still going to have trouble maintaining a higher price due to mined coins being dumped on the market every single day, weekend or weekday, rain or shine. Recent fundamentals have warranted a price rise, which we're seeing, but probably just a visit to the Space Station now and then. The next moon landing will be in October. Until then we'll probably see more surges, more retraces, higher lows, higher highs, and maybe... just maybe we'll hit 50k on a good week.

Add to that, headwinds don't decrease over the weekend. Mining continues at a steady pace while volume drops, decreasing the buy pressure. Furthermore you have people selling their free coins from StartJoin. We'll probably see the bottom on Sunday. I'll want to be bought in before Monday morning.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: August 07, 2015, 11:57:39 PM
Buy pressure won't begin to exceed the constant sell pressure, or what I call 'headwind', until the 18-20k range. We're not going anywhere without major investors coming in, and the first signs of them doing that is in that range. The question is, how much of that support needs to be filled before the buy pressure significantly exceeds the headwind? I'm not 'all in' until 20k, max.

If I were Max Keiser I wouldn't be trying to pump the price. I'd be trying to stabilize the price. I also wouldn't want it to be common knowledge that I'm manipulating the price. Maybe what we're dealing with here is a stability fund. This shifts the playing field away from speculators and towards adopters. I think the game here is going to be playing the swings until it settles down and then finding greener pastures.

No, I mean the top wallet ON Bittrex. Under the distribution tab.
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: August 04, 2015, 02:39:15 PM
The top wallet was 1 million. During the drop from 40k down to the mid 20s it went down to 850k. During this spike it dropped another 10k. Seems like we're fighting our way through a very large sell off by the top wallet on Bittrex.

Seems like 25K is a good price to get into or back into START.

not a good price mate. it ll go to 4k satoshi soon. wait till 4k .

Ironically, your greed is going to cost you money when you miss the boat.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: July 30, 2015, 08:25:02 AM
The depth chart has actually turned bullish and there's more support than we even had at 36k. I really think people need to be buying back in now. At this point it's musical chairs. When the music stops, you better have your butt planted in START or you're out.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: July 28, 2015, 06:32:47 PM
I'm all bought back in at 27-28k. Can't bare to sit out on this one. No telling when it'll take off. Don't want to miss the train.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: July 26, 2015, 03:58:14 PM
Yeah, there just seems to be too much sell pressure in this market. Miners, startjoin projects, free startcoin from the premine... it all adds up. I think the real market cap is growing, but not fast enough to keep up with all the coins entering the market every day. I still think START is the most legit altcoin out there, but I'm going to try to get it for a bit cheaper before the block halving.
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: July 24, 2015, 08:10:58 PM
I'm trying to set up a web wallet using RPC. Has anyone done this before? I did it for another coin, but it's not immediately working for START. Is the config file below correct (subject to user/pass change) and does it go in this directory?: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\StartCOIN-v2

rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9347
port=9247
gen=0
server=1

Shall I go on there and raise money for a "stabilization fund" with profits going to investors? =)

That does not mean its not going to happen there is one in September http://www.chinaforexexpo.com/

Perhaps you didn't notice I put two links and this was one of them. Simon Dixon is shown in the first row under "HEAR FROM INDUSTRY LEADERS", so I'm sure he's still set to go.
