Sirminesalot - Does not mine a lot.

sad thing is... neither does AMT.

Are you certain about that?  Does AMT have bitcoin miner assets that they are not revealing?

A total of 60 miners were delivered by IMET to AMT.

Here is a an incomplete list:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=463922.0

Which counts to 48 1.2 TH/s miners in the order list.   4 520 GH/s ... equivalent to 2-3 miners.  1 miner donated to Phin.

8 miners not accounted for in the list.

Out of the 48 + 4 miners,  how many were shipped and working?

Where did you come up with that number, just wondering.

Well you didn't ship miners to a majority of folks on the list.  So you have likely over 20 miners sitting somewhere.

Yes we have admitted to having tons of non working boards.

I find it hard to believe that the boards don't work. I was able to get my miner working, although it was only 2 boards out of the 5 (maybe not all ASIC are mining) 350Gh/s. The point is it does work. How is it that I could get them to work, but not you AMT? The other 3 boards are smashed up.

I had 2 of five boards working for a few days then not so much. I'm think it's likely they are sitting on pile of boards that likely will die out shortly. I'd not call that a working product.

I see the miner protection program is still on the site (not that removing it would change anything, since it was there when orders where still coming in)

Quote
we guarantee enough hashing power to meet ROI and then some, when mining SHA-256 coin. If the networks increases to a point where your investment in our technology is no longer profitable, AMT will upgrade your Miner to the next level Miner absolutely free. We want our clientele to succeed and prosper together with.

Miner protection is automatically applied to all purchases from AMT and is valid from the date 09/26/2013. Although in the future, we may add this as an additional paid option during the purchase process. Purchases prior to this update are covered under the Miner protection plan automatically.

How it works:

AMT will receive your order, if the networks hash rate increases to the point where your miner can no longer meet ROI we will upgrade your miner to the next level of AMT miners.
https://advancedminers.com/miner-protection-plan/

So, how does AMT plan to honor this? Ship 4.2TH machines to 1.2TH customers?

See ROI doesn't have to be a positive number. You can have a negative ROI. The o is on not of. THe smoking gun in the MPP section is "the product upgrade will continue to the next AMT product which is profitable."

That is going to be one of those things they'll look at to see if the contract was made in good faith.

Who is they?

They being a court of law, or really in this case a jury if it were to go to trial.

Lol

I love how catty this is getting.

I bet it's been killing clennell not posting on here. I want to know what his lawyers have to say, well and AMT's.

I'm just wondering how quickly a settlement will be reached, filing was just over two months ago, coming up here on a deadline for a response.

My guess, and it would only be that, is they used the delay to figure out the imet thing to present it to the courts, and licensed the tecnobit design as it a proven one. They show the court they have a miner performing to spec, or you know a viable product.  That should clear the fraud charges but doesn't take care of the neglect and several other charges. The fraud charge would be the one I'd be looking most to beat as I think that could carry more damages if it were to go to trial. Then they would be in a better bargaining position in a settlement negotiation.
445  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 05, 2014, 06:36:53 PM
at least if it was such a problem, why charge someone over and over again and leave them with nothing to show for it. And legally until figuring out the situation and all the moving parts involved and questioning if it was our own fault and a lot, we didnt feel need to mention this situation or effect their reputation. But when the hopped on the forum, and started all that nonsense, it was like.. really..

This is another reason for no one to go after that product. The legality of trying to buy them is dubious at best. Plus with the boards I received I'm not sure you want what they'd be selling, unless they are proven to be working.
446  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 05, 2014, 06:26:45 PM
I'm upset no-one calls me by my first name I feel left out.

No stern comments for me just posts that disappear into the shadows.

Anyway I don't know why people are treating the 16th like it's the date of a settlement. I mean sure it could be if AMT were so inclined, but I'm not sure they are.  This is just for them to file a response, and then it just moves to the next thing. The judicial system is slows as fuck. One reason I hate it as a means of settling things.

I'd made suggestions of multiple things that I would have considered as making me whole a long time ago, but they didn't seem concerned with settling then either.

I'm just expecting a long knock down drag out fight. I mean I assume craig's attorney's assume they will win or it wasn't worth them taking the case. But by the time it's all said and done what's left?

I'm actually very surprised they didn't move to freeze their assets. Or maybe they tried to initially and someone showed leniency, maybe this will have to be answered for by the 10th.

Actually not even sure where that date came from. Its the 16th. You should be able to call chimcles and confirm. They told me generally middle of the month. The 16th seems more in line with that. Someone else might want to call and confirm that though.

ORDER THAT UPON CONSIDERATION OF DEFENDANTS' MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO RESPOND TO COMPLAINT 9 , IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT THE MOTION IS GRANTED. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED THAT, ON OR BEFORE 6/16/2014, DEFENDANTS SHALL ANSWER OR OTHERWISE RESPOND TO PLAINTIFFS' COMPLAINT 1 AND PLAINTIFFS' MOTION TO CERTIFY CLASS 3 . SIGNED BY HONORABLE LEGROME D. DAVIS ON 4/30/14.4/30/14 ENTERED AND COPIES E-MAILED.(ti, ) (Entered: 04/30/2014)

Fair enough. I didn't if it was even actually granted class action status? If not then then AMT should be able to deal with us directly because the lawyers would only be representing three people.

" "who cares if they are assholes, they get the job done and I got my miner and it mines""

I've held this opinion from day one. It's why I ordered from you in the first place. I talked to someone on your staff and said, hell they aren't PC  but neither am I, but if they can deliver as they said and my miner works then fuck it, I rather deal with that company than the company that blows some up my ass. This was in January when I called, I looked around at others on offer but came back to you. I called again on January 31st and talked with someone. I specifically asked if things were still on track. I was told by whomever it was on the phone that you guys were actually a bit ahead of schedule. I was like "fuck yeah, an american company who is going to be ready to get this done." I place my order that day and sent out my check the next, it was delayed by that fuck of a storm that hit, I was in town for a funeral or it would have flown out of Arizona and missed the weather.

But the problem is, as issues started mounting your communication started shutting down when it should have been ramping up. When some you sends you thousands of dollars for the product the "No news, is good news" saying goes out the window. A simple message to your customers via e-mail or even your website would have done wonders. I can accept a delay if you tell me about it. It's all about managing the expectations of your clients. I had e-mailed a few times when it was getting obvious there were some issues at hand asking if my order was still on pace. Each time I got an affirmative. All it would have taken was, "I'm sorry Mr. Shaffer ( or just curt) but due to some unforeseen issues with the manufacturing process the projected date of your shipment will pushed back, just know we are working our hardest to correct any issues and we'll keep you updated" that will dissipate so many worries.

But now it is May and I can't say "who cares if they are assholes, they get the job done and I got my miner and it mines"

As for deleting post you asked what I would do. I would leave every post up, every single inane, asinine,  annoying post that phin put up. You know why? Because if your detractors look like loons then you by comparison look sane. Also then I could embrace the fact that I fucked up and point to that every time I made headway in getting a solution. "I know we fucked this up, but look what we did to make this better for you in the end."  That is how you earn your reputation  back, not pretend that you never had a bad one.

I want you to succeed, my success depends on it. You pushed Craig's buttons and he took off and landed right at the lawyers. It was your provocation, and hubris, that lead to the lawsuit. That lead to the inability to deal with customers directly. That's not my fault and you're not going to get sympathy from me over it. As much as you feel you've been in painted into the corner you're the one holding the brush. I'm on the opposite side of that room where you painted us into the corner that required taking actions to ensure we'd ever see our property or or money.

I've said from the start that I didn't want to deal with lawyers, they take too much of my money and too much of your on top of wasting our time. It's why I've not filed a lawsuit in what would be a slamdunk case. It's not how I want to operate. Your terms said you wanted to go through arbitration prior to lawsuit. I attempted that route only to receive no word from you.

Now I have to wait to find out how everything plays out before I can get on with my life. Same as you. We're both up shit creek and we're sharing the same canoe.

Then I have to see if there is a judgment in our favor if it's something I want to accept or if I think I can work with you to come to a better resolution. I'm part of the law suit not because I want to be but because the nature of the suite, and it suck balls because it all could have been avoided

Why delete my post and leave his?

Because he is a client that tries to help resolve the issue and further the business if possible, he understands the situation and while taking an unbiased standpoint even he looks at the facts.

The problem is that most of your clients are not privy to the facts so sadly we can not judge the situation on them. Instead if anyone posts an opinion contrary to your personal bias the comment is deleted, or at least the perception for my point of view. Perhaps that is not how you mean to come across.

I'd love to help you, had even offered via e-mail to help on the customer service end as I was a retail manager for two years, in which I helped turn around a failing store. There was no response.

All I want if for this all to be over and if I had a magic wand to fix all the issues I'd lend it to you.

They even deleted a post of me saying we should not be biased or bigoted. I'll gladly share my deleted posts with anyone who wishes as this thread is being manicured to present a false narrative surrounding the entire reality of the situation.

If you'd care to send an NDA we'd be glad to hear what's really going on. Its all that most of us wanted to hear in the first place.
"Privy to the facts"... ROFL!

Hardly. All that those of us here working with AMT have is technical data and even getting that is like pulling teeth.

A few bits here and there about other things, NOTHING about business operations/plans which is as it should be. I for one do not want to know their inner-workings as it would raise serious legal implications for me. Noooo thank you!

I never said you knew everything. Just that their clientele don't have access to the facts.  But Josh is acting like those of you who have the technical background are the only ones capable of understanding what a predicament they are in and that their whole whole woe is me story justifies the mistreatment of their clientele as a whole.

I'm not an engineer, I'm not a programer but I understand the concept of potentially getting screwed over in a business transaction, where one party says they are doing something but does another.

Is it unfortunate for them? Absolutely. Is it unfortunate for us? You bet. Do we deserve to be treated like this? Not a chance.

Edit posted before AMT's comments. I'll digest and then respond as is only fair.

I think a fun field trip would be to go watch the court proceedings. If it gets there before a settlement is reached.

We should find out from the lawyers when it is.

IMET was contracted to build Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for AMT miners in February of 2014.

How did you ever expect to ship in January if you didnt even have a board manufacturer?

Don't be stupid. Obviously they have access to time travel.
456  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 03, 2014, 06:08:17 AM
Hi just don't understand why they would ship customers boards out of batches they knew were bad and likely to fail. My guess is so that they appeared to meet a deadline, which they still failed to do.

From a technical standpoint are the people who received boards we can't hash with conceded to have not received boards at all?
457  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 01, 2014, 07:23:14 AM
Lol, now they are seeing what it's like when their customers get really shitty with them.

Looks like if I got working mining hardware yesterday it would take at least 3.2TH to break even in 6 months. Then I would be able to mine for like 3 more weeks and make like 4 bucks.
458  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: May 30, 2014, 09:54:44 AM
We've already stated the legal implications we run into every time we write anything on this forum. We mentioned that we'd keep it to a technical discussion only to try and resolve the problems with the existing boards. There was an issue as to "if we can provide clients with source files.. bla bla bla" which we've just about taken care of. We've started production of new a1 miners based on our licensed technobit boards with local and foreign manufacturers, and our own boards as well, and production for script miners and other solutions. Everyone will be attended to and everyone will have rectification for these delays which we HAVE taken responsibility for on several occasions.

Guys calm down, stop ranting, we've been moving the office to other side of the city over the last few days as we said before. We know you want instant gratification to this problem but it takes time because of the legal actions that have occurred. Things we can and can't do, etc.

And if you think the market is too competitive at this point, we'll just have to think of new creative ideas to trump the competitors. Lets get back to technical discussions, it helps believe it or not.

The fact is the existing boards, or at least some of them are fucked, from a technical standpoint. Now we aren't asking you to address how'll you'll compensate or take care of the issue here on the board. We've reached out via calls and e-mails per YOUR request which you said you would respond to. You have failed in that respect.

So I'm asking you here, but you may respond by pm, for those of us with a technical issue (as we have been provided boards, of whose quality I won't mention) that requires board replacement should we speak to you  or to your attorneys?
459  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: May 29, 2014, 05:18:54 AM
Well seeing as the June response will go and this is likley the reason for their stalling in replies, I get the feeling we will be railroaded in all this. More than likely they will claim that people are intetionally wrecking the machines....which is something they have alleged before. Retarded argument really considering how many people are coming back with broken miners. The problem is the burden of proof is on them. It only takes a little forensic proof to show they intentionally shipped bad goods....in fact its already well documented here as it is. So they are going to have a hell of a time claiming people broke their miners.

They have continually made promises they have not kept. I was even assured (with a witness present) that my miners worked....lo and behold miner 1 crapped out almost totally within 5 minutes of powering up (with all power requirements having been met)....miner 2 gradually took a crap with now 1 working card....for the time being I have powered it off to avoid any further issues and have one working card to work with in the event I decide I want to fix their mess. I have not gotten any effort or contact from them in terms of documentation needed to make these things work. I am hazarding that documentation does not exist yet.

What june response are you speaking of?
460  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: May 28, 2014, 11:54:43 AM
Has anyone been in contact with AMT of recent? I am still waiting for them to cough up our refund. Weeks ago they promised some sort of agreement to be sent to all clients, to choose between a few options and nothing was heard afterward.

AMT, since you're all on the up 'n up with this reorganization, what's up with not answering us? Could you muster up at least the courtesy to answer us? Pref via email, but here is fine too Cheesy

If your post vanishes I'll just assume you are a magician.
