Otherwise a minority of miners could trivially force the timestamps maximally far in the future... which then pushes everyone up against the local time limit, and would potentially require a centeralized source of time to avoid being constantly orphaned.
Why allow blocks from the future? Because bitcoin is decentralized, so one can't really determine what is past, present, and future ok, you lost me there xD |

Prices of BTC and LTC are related but it is most likely BTC would goes up while LTC go ip just barely or stand still. Also BTC is not as affected by competition amongst other altcoin like LTC is.

I don't get it, you are a group or you need people for group . Also, with only 0,1 btc per person you will need a lot of people, I'm afraid, to manipulate anything, unless it is some small coin. Then it is not even important.

Nice report to read for everybody interested. From Goldman Sachs I expected something more PR oriented then intellectual, but yeah....
They also put very important question, is bitcoin a currency? They answer is interesting, but i guess they haven't look on long period of time and mining difficulty factor. Also comparing it to traditional currencies is rather pointless.

Bitcoin will be solely sued as money, not as store of value. Thing is, biggest advantages of bitcoin is how flexible it is. It can be used internationally, all over the world, without bank fees and without currency exchange problem. As store of value.... yeah well hard to see any real advantages over other currencies.

gold drop 15% in lest year . Recently it went up, mostly because of war. This idea that everyone should invest into gold while at war is always a mess. This well issued PR campaign make people act like ship and do what they are expected to do. Not to mention how idiotic it is, when you invest into gold, at most of firms you keep it at some safe-place. Idea of investing into gold at war comes from fact that you can easily pay with it while at one. Keeping it at some random location and get only paper you get one is idiotic(in case you are afraid of war), keeping it at your home and become easy target for robbers , unless you pay small fortune for safety is another issue. Using it as payment in middle of war makes you easy target for marauders. Hell, if some people are so paranoid they should invest into guns then.
