441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Value and the Relationship between BTC and BCH on: August 02, 2017, 09:10:23 PM
Bitcoin cash is certainly an interesting idea and may seem like something worth investing in for some people, but I still think that the whales that have heaps of Bitcoin won’t pay much attention to it, maybe just claim some free Bitcoin cash, hold it and resume life as normal. No matter what, Bitcoin cash is just an alt coin, not the real deal.

The only way for Bitcoin cash to grow was if Bitcoin cash started getting accepted, legalized and just receiving a bunch of media attention, but I don’t think that will be happening anytime soon.
442  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ? on: August 02, 2017, 08:56:00 AM
Hi , I'm new so basically I still have a lot to learn about the cryptocurrency , but I would like to know if it would be possible for the bitcoin to start the downfall ? I mean like what scenario can happen that the bitcoin would be pushed back like 5-6 years ?
Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.

What really affects the value of bitcoin and determins whether it rises or falls is the community behind Bitcoin. If people start abandoning bitcoin and no longer believing in Bitcoin, the prices will fall. This is why Fud is so important to bitcoin, since it can sway a lot of people to sell and the price will therefore fall and the snowball effect will make it fall even more.

Don't think that will be happening anytime soon though since August the first didn't affect us anyway and that was a huge event.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Bitcoin Cash on: August 02, 2017, 08:46:12 AM
What do you think of Bitcoin Cash?
Do you think it will have the same value as Bitcoin or it will be just another Alt. Coin in the crypto market?

I for one don't really support Bitcoin cash since it is pretty much an alt coin with Bitcoin in the name. A lot of people like me also dont really mind Bitcoin cash that much since it doesn't really affect Bitcoin anyway. It just seems like a speculative alt coin to be honest.

Don't think a lot of people will pay attention to it and I definitly won't care that much about it.

444  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best way to make money with bitcoin in 2017? on: August 02, 2017, 08:38:15 AM
What is the best way to make money with bitcoin in 2017?

Make money or make bitcoin, anyway here are some tips for both.
Money:
To make money via bitcoin, just hold, it is simple, not as risky as trading but does require a base amout.
Bitcoin:
- Level up your account and enrol into signature campaigns, max payout is around 0.04 a week.
- Freelance and offer your services
445  Economy / Economics / Re: could bitcoin be replaced by another crypto currency? on: August 02, 2017, 08:32:36 AM
i do this question because i´ve read in this website issues with bitcoin, slow mining process, high fees, etc. and i´ve read too good reviews of some altcoins, ethereum (smart contracts), ripple (for transfers between banks), dash and nem. these altcoins called 2.0. could bitcoin become just in future virtual gold reserved to companies and rich people?

When I was new to Bitcoin, I also thought that bitcoin was the best cryptocurrency in the world and no other coins could beat it. But now after seeing so many new icos being released and so many other cryptos being successful, I realisedd something.

Bitcoin was the first to implement blockchain technology, but there are other coins that have even better tech and they also solve a lot of Bitcoins problems which are mostly related to transaction times and fees.
446  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Member with good rank of account on: August 02, 2017, 08:17:46 AM
Hi
I'm looking for member to post my project? (Announcement)

Firstly, just because you may be low rank it doesn't mean that people won't trust you, as a matter of fact there are a lot of newbies who only make an account to post about their project/ico.

Also, you should trust people who are high rank, this forum has been active for some long there are heaps of bought accounts and a lot of people buy account just to scam people.

Would love to get some details though.

447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC cash an altcoin? on: August 02, 2017, 07:48:22 AM
Someone say yes someone say no. Explain me in scientific way. yes or no?

Yes, Bitcoin cash is an alt coin even though it has the name "Bitcoin" in it, it is still an alternative to bitcoin. I don't think that Bitcoin cash has much of the potential as Bitcoin and I don't think that Bitcoin cash will ever overtake Bitcoin.

I don't think that Bitcoin cash will ever overtake Bitcoin especially with the huge amounts of attention Bitcoin has been receiving soon.
448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you expecting after 1st-Aug? on: August 02, 2017, 04:18:59 AM
The most expected, and maybe most important day for BTC  is today. What are you expecting is going to happen post 1st Aug?

Well after August I was expecting a price rise or a price drop. A lot of people thought that bitcoin cash was going to be the end of bitcoin and how everyone would just swap over to bitcoin cash and the bitcoin price would fall. Instead what actually happened was that people just got free bitcoin cash and no one moved over. The price is the same as always and August the first just got people so free bitcoin cash.

This may be a sign of 2 or even more versions of bitcoin co existing and that will be interesting.
449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reminders for today: #1 DON'T PANIC! on: July 31, 2017, 10:29:57 AM
Thanks for the reassurance, let's hope our Bitcoin world doesn't just break and we get a chance to fight. Tommorrow will also be an opportunity for investors and a chance for a trip to the moon. The exact of FUD, I love this.

The Bitcointalk forums could be Ddosed
Wait what? Please provide me a link to any news related to this, I didn't know about this.

Websites and companies may be hacked. Be extremely skeptical of everything you read.

To Avoid replay attacks on the Bitcoin network create a new Bitcoin wallet and move your Bitcoins to that wallet AFTER the fork then use your old now empty wallet with a Bitmain-cash wallet.

Don't trust Bitmain-Cash-wallets they could be back-doored.

Yes, I agree

Get your private keys ready to import, a fight may be happening.
450  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Should exchanges be trusted anymore? on: July 31, 2017, 10:13:26 AM
Had been in a dilemma after seeing BTC-E's owner being arrested for a $4 Billion money-laundering fraud which he had been conducting, who knows that from when. First Mt Gox, then Bitfinex then Poloniex and now this, few were hacked and some had their admins only cheating their users.
Do you really think any exchanges are trustworthy anymore?

Just to ruin your faith in the human race, even more, technically we can't trust anyone except ourselves. Who is to say that the big escrows and trusted traders on the forum won't just run away when the opportunity presents itself.

It seems like exchanges have been taking hits after hits, but I think that I would still trust an exchange. The people who need to trade altcoins and make money rely on them and it would seem to judge them after a couple of events, no matter how dodgy it may seem.
451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain wallet safe during the fork ? on: July 31, 2017, 10:04:18 AM
Pretty sure that Blockchain wallet will be safe during possible hard fork, although there seems to be less and less of a chance of that happening as the days pass by. Bitcoin will pretty much just stay the same and all the hype led to nothing.

Don't know why a lot of people don't like Blockchain wallet, but it seems fine to me. If you do have a pc/desktop wallet I would recommend splitting up your funds between your online wallet, desktop wallet and maybe even a mobile wallet.

Just get your private keys and you won't have to worry no matter what happens.
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why BILL GATES do not USE Bitcoin? on: July 31, 2017, 09:55:01 AM
Hello,
I just want to know why Bill Gates do not invest some money in Bitcoin, he will be a very big contributor to the crypto world, and will also be very respected, he will also be able to become more rich (or less).
But what is the reason why he do not invest funds in cryptocurrencies?

When someone has so much money as Bill Gates, who is worth around 90 Billion, you gotta think, why would you keep investing. He has more money than to last him for 100 lifetimes, so why would you focus on making more money especially since your super rich.

The time of a man who is worth so much must be expensive and Bill would rather spend his time doing good for the world and contributing to it than just trying to make more money. Let him be.

I don't think a lot of millionaires will invest into Bitcoin since it a speculative currency and they are rich enough.
453  Economy / Economics / Re: Money above all things, Yes or no ? on: July 30, 2017, 08:37:04 AM
I can see that people nowadays are busy searching on money and everything depends on money. People nowadays never go to church just because they would rather earn money rather than praise God. Others do not pay respect to elders  because they earn money for them or richer than them. Well for you, is money above all things ?

Your on Bitcointalk, Bitcoin= money, so your pretty much on a forum that is made for talking about money, and even better still your on the part of the forum "economics" which is the part that talks about money.

There is no doubt that money is super important to us, but what you are asking here is whether money should be that important. Money provides life, but sometimes people will spend too much time trying to earn money. This is an important dilemma that people are faced.
454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to create a bitcoin wallet ? on: July 30, 2017, 07:49:05 AM
BTC how to create a bitcoin wallet what will be the cost for making a bitcoin wallet and what should be considered as a security measures to maintain security for wallet

To make a bitcoin wallet the cost is free, some good examples of relatively safe online wallets include Coinjar, Blockchain and Coinbase (wouldn't recommend though since Coinbase recently just got hacked and a lot of passwords and usernames where leaked).

More safer options include desktop wallet such as Green Address and Electrum. Would recommend Electrum since I have used it for a long time and you can make custom fees and it is also pretty safe.

The safest types of Bitcoin wallets include cold storage and form of cold storage include hardware wallets, paper wallets and also physical bitcoin.
455  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to win free Bitcoins in a short time ??? on: July 30, 2017, 07:21:05 AM
Hello to you.
What are the best sites to win free Bitcoins in less than 60 minutes of time ??
I already know https://freebitco.in/ but to win Satoshi, you have to wait every hour (1 hour) of time. It is too long.
Are there other serious sites that give Bitcoins in less than 60 minutes ??

Thanks in advance for giving me these sites there.

You need to stop thinking that bitcoin is just a way for people to make money super quickly. Bitcoin is a form of online money, but still money and you cant just get free money or why would people work anymore? If you want to win some bitcoin, you can try gambling, but if you want to earn bitcoin here are some ways:

1. Signature campaigns on the forum, some of the good ones can pay up to 0.03.
2. Offering your services or freelancing.

Have fun earning.
456  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next week, is that the last chance? on: July 29, 2017, 02:38:15 AM
People are wondering, the last week of July is the deciding whether you want to make a big profit, or you'll just miss it. For myself, I intend to sell some of my cryptoss, and hope to get a good entry point, but on the other hand I feel that last week's downtrend is the last one of this month, what do you think?

Well the best time to buy was a week back when bitcoin dropped as low to 2K and stayed there for around 1 or 2 days. Now bitcoin has recovered and is just floating around at the 2.7-2.8K price range. You missed your chance to get cheap bitcoin unfortunately and I don't think there will be a chance for you to get bitcoin for that price anytime soon.

There is a high chance of bitcoin taking a trip to the moon after August the first, especially with the possibility of the hard fork becoming less and all the FUD being spread has died down. Future seems to be promising.
457  Economy / Speculation / Re: To sell all?? on: July 29, 2017, 02:29:06 AM
Im losing alot money with this shitty war which decrease btc to 1900$ wtf why this happening. So i need to sell all and go away or i need to wait to 22july and maybe everything will back?

I understand how mad you may be with Bitcoin dropping super low, and this may seem to be a too late since Bitcoin has already risen in price. Here is one thing you should always keep in mind: Never panic sell. Bitcoin is known for the price bumps and how volatile it is and just because it took a dump down to 2k it doesn't mean that you should sell. Just hold your bitcoin and the price will eventually go up.

Look at the price now, hope you didn't sell because then you would be regretting that.
458  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for trustfully known Escrow-Service! on: July 29, 2017, 02:14:35 AM
Before choosing an escrow I would recommend you to take a look at this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2043356.0. This is what happens when you choose a bad escrow. The escrow ran away since he could easily just buy a new account and continue scamming.

Take a look here and here is a list of all the big escrows that you can trust: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0.

Some popular escrows include https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=133846 (Moonbux) and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=18321 (Ognasty)

Good luck!
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I do not have the guts to buy bitcoins now. on: July 29, 2017, 01:31:47 AM
Am I the only one who is under the impression that the price of bitcoin will plummet before day 1 or soon after?
This bitcoin fall to 2400 and the climb up to where it is now get me the impression that the whales are piling up to dump everything before day one.

Also I'm seeing a lot of people wanting to save the bitcoin for the first day thinking that Bitcoin Cash will be worth the same as the bitcoin or that at least they will make good money with it. They are not even realizing how this will devalue bitcoin.

Well, especially with the amount of FUD on this forum alone with click bait titles like "Segwit will kill bitcoin or "Bitcoin will die to segwit" it certainly is no surprise that people are expecting a price drop before August. Now that it is August, I can confirm that this hasn't happened. Bitcoin will mostly likely not split at all and August the first will have no impact on bitcoin.

Don't listen to FUD people, one of the reasons why bitcoin dropped to 2k a couple weeks back was due to the amount of fud that was being spread.
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet can keep both kinds of Bitcoin before and after 1st Aug? on: July 29, 2017, 01:19:44 AM
Which wallet can keep both kinds of Bitcoin after 1st Aug?

If there will be chain-split, I want to keep my BTC right now in wallet whitch will be able to access two kinds of BTC after 1st Aug & ofcourse, whitch is safe.

Is there anyone with information about it? ( except personal hard disk wallet.. that's too difficult for me )

Seems to be a bit late for the August first hard work, but at least you are making the move. Some wallets that will keep you protected for the hard fork, that is probably not even going to happen at all include any types of cold storage or any wallet that gives you access to your own private keys, instead of the wallet holding the keys for you.

Types of cold storage include:

1. Ledgerwallets/trezor wallets, which are hardware wallets.
2. Paper wallets, a document to store your private keys.
3. Physical bitcoin.
