Guys,
I found a bug in /usr/bim/miner.sh that is the script which starts cgminer
it should be soething like:
...... HOPTIONSR=" --suggest-diff $res --set_default_to_r --hexminerr-asic-diff $_rcer --hexminerr-pic-roll $_rcrpm --hexminerr-chip-mask 255 --hexminerr-voltage $_rcvm --hexminerr-options 1:$_rcfm "
The important part is --hexminerr-options 1:$_rcfm " it was --hexminerr-options $rccm:$_rcfm " which is wrong
if you have problems with fixing it just pm me a Teamvier User/pass so i can fix it for you while new fw image is released

I think that is default when you have a miner to run linux and for that i ask. Anyway i was looking to buy this but only the simple version and only if is a proper cgminer patch or cgminer new version with support this machines
Yes tplink image runs latest cgminer so as I said it is a matter of time for marto to publish the patch If you ask me just try tplink and you will not ever regret for that choice You can buy one from Technobit or from your local store The folks who have experience with tplink and Technobit images can confirm it ... I had 70 days uptime with tplink before power failure in my home due to local electricity company

I mean if you dont want to buy tplink and plug it to a pi rasberry or to a pc
Pc power efficiency sucks 150 w+ just for cgminer? Pi usb sucks also...thee are various hw/software issues with usb of pi. The main pi issue is that Ethernet is over usb also. But in general you can do both. There is a guy 2good he is making windows builds with zdiag and all that stuff for pi you will have to build it yourself though

|
|
Because if someone buy the simple version how can run it without any software? There is precompiled image for tplink available for download already and it works great.....
|
|
|
Do you give the cgminer patch with the low price device?
Patch was always there. But this time marto forgot to include it. I am sure he will sort it out ASAP ...

Can I plug the usb from the DICE directly into my computer and run cgminer from there? Can I use the HEXminer download? and if so, what settings would I use?? No, there is no cgminer for windows that work with DICE. Current HEXMINER also had no support for DICE. Marto said the DHCP is enabled by default, you need to check on your router if the router assign any ip. Or http://tbdice.org/myminers/ With tplink only of course

Check in again after 24 hours. In order to get accurate stats you need to mine at least one day non stop it adss up slowley... If you are mining for last 24 hours here without any interuptions i do not know....

MMkay, here's a question, are the driver documentation for cgminer/bfgminer going to be released to the respected software owners, or are you just going to fork your own spin of the software to work it the way you want it to?
also, 82 Euro / 101.50USD / 120.75AUD, Excluding shipping, for a 150GHs unit that would probably only do 100GHs pool side.. Wheres the Ausie resellers? Buy up 100 of them will ya?
and please tell me that you're not forcing people to use this for only your 1/20,000,000 (i did math right? didn't i?) chance game? i see it as an entry level miner, letting people decide what they do with it...
All Technobit boards do have patches for cgminer. In other words it is fully open source. Despite other devices from day one all Technobit products DO show hashing rate exactly and dupes and hw errors are not accounted AS HASHESHS. The only diference are pool rejects but they are between 0.1-0.3% with stratum so in other words when you take avarage speed from the scree and multiply it by (100 -hw%) you will get hw rate as shown from the pool

Pcb shot plz with sugar on top (miner porn)
I'll be able to do it monday/tuesday Kk I am Horny and eager to see it also

Con, There is a file descriptor leak in gen_loop(proc_instance_t *pi) probably in other loop places also
Some jumps to reconnect do not close sockd.
The quick fix for me is
reconnect: if (si) { kill_server(si); reconnecting = true; // close checks for -1 Close(sockd); }

I have a rare problem. Sometimes SP30/31 occasionally stops working after many days of good work, and I cannot reboot it remotely. The symptoms: - it doesn't mine; - I cannot open its WWW page (it asked for name and password, but then no communication at all); - PING answers correctly; - SSH every time shows "Login as:" prompt, but after entering user name, there is no any answer; - the green LED at the front is blinking.
It looks like there was no free memory (but then I checked in the log there was free memory (348)) or no new process can be spawned. The power off and on by hand is needed, which is a bit troublesome.
It happened two times before to one of my SP30 (which was then replaced because of misbehaving DC2DC circuits). Yesterday it happened to SP31. (Two other SP30 machines work well there.)
The support is very helpful (Zvisha as always and two new people as well), but this time they found no reason, despite connecting remotely (after the reboot of course) and analyzing logs and settings. The problem isn't known and I don't want to waste their time more with it (until it begin to happen more often).
The stopping would not be as bad if I could restart it remotely. But, I suppose, the inability of communication is what cause the machine to stop mining. It would be nice to have a watchdog working inside, which would restart the machine when such condition occurs (e.g. too many processes, low memory, connection problems...). To prepare it I need to know the exact cause.
So my questions are: What could make sshd to stop between asking for login name and asking for a password? Does it need to spawn new process? Or is it another reason like something wrong with TCP/IP? Do anyone had similar problem?
It seems like sd or emc/ram issue. I do not have spondtech gear but this happens when linux file system or hdd gets corrupt. It happen to me with pi and broken sd card once. And with PC with corrupt ram or hdd many times If spond gear has rs232 you can open shell. So when/if this happens again you can see Dmesg and some stuff eventually logged in console In general you can reboot your gear power off on remotely with additional hw

What settings should we be using for the Rockerbox in the tplink?
I've got my Rockerbox running, but am only getting about 350 GH/s. I am using all of the default settings in cgminer.
x4RB Chip Count - 4 Hex4RB Chip Frequency - 800 Hex4RB Chip Core Voltage - 740 Hex4RB pic work roll - 63 Hex4RB Enable or Disable - 255 Hex4RB ASIC difficulty - 16

Disable HEXM reset code (cgminer seting) via web and try again
|
|
|
So close. Now I have a Zombie. LOL Hex4m is set for the handle USB error. Check again your cgminer configuration page.
Handle usb detect error as : set to hex4m
Remove the USB HUB Power off 12V of HEXM Remove USB HEXM cable Power on 12V of hexM PLUG USB cable of HEXM into tplink without hub directly and make sure your USB cable is OK
|
|
|
Just power off HEXM board - unplug USB + 12V Reboot tplink power on 12V of HM board and finally plug USB cable And you can remove hub also just plug board directly and make sure lsusb shows it
|
|
|
It's a bit different this time. I changed the cable and the hub again. I do, I have a solid power wart for the TP link. I will double check the other cable though. board is not there and there is no USB hUB connected also
check your usb cable and try with another one. You need to have twio USB cables connected in TPLINK one for power and one for usb data
Ok whatever you plug in tplink usb data port shall show in lsusb. It may bad usb cable, or just bad usb port of the tplink itself. Meanwhile just for the record you can plug your miner in windows. It shall show up like unknown usb device if all is ok. Just to see if miner usb connection is ok So it shall be mining if your udevd is started. Otherwise you need to restart cgminer Or better just execute /usr/bin/fix_rc it will enable udevd and reboot tplink the all will be good
