441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where have all the low volatility slots gone??? on: January 12, 2024, 11:41:32 PM
I also appreciate the allure of more frequent wins, even if they come with a lower ceiling, a steadier pace that I enjoy when playing slots. I agree with what was said about how the higher the RTP, the lower the volatility. I also prefer that because it allows for longer gameplay, and there's more entertainment and excitement in playing. As a new player back then, I was less concerned about volatility, and I didn't know about RTP before I started playing. I lacked awareness because I was more focused on graphics or animation. So, in terms of low volatility, I think each provider has games like that nowadays; it just depends on the specific game.
442  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Makakaapekto kaya Sa Bitcoin Adoption Sa Mga Nangyayaring Rigodon Sa Ating Bansa on: January 12, 2024, 10:22:09 AM
443  Local / Pilipinas / Re: SEC has now approved 11 spot bitcoin ETF on: January 11, 2024, 11:39:23 AM
Happy BTC ETF Approval Day!

Isang napakagandang balita para sa cryptocurrency community. Naaprubahan din sa wakas after 11 years of rejections.

So ibig sabihin, more opportunities para sa lahat.

444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Bitcoin in a Cashless Society on: January 11, 2024, 11:20:13 AM
Hey, fellow Bitcointalkers! 🚀 Let's hop on the crypto rollercoaster and talk about the future of Bitcoin in a cashless society. 💸 Will our favorite digital gold shine even brighter, or will it face some turbulence? Strap in, no financial advice here – just enthusiasts sharing thoughts. Imagine a world where your grandma pays for cookies with BTC - wild, right? 🍪 Are we heading there or hitching a ride to a different destination? Dive into your crypto crystal ball and let's speculate on the fate of Bitcoin in this cashless adventure. What's your take on its survival skills in a world where cash is as ancient as floppy disks? Share your wild, unfiltered ideas! 🌐✨
I believe that traditional currencies will not fade away anytime soon; they will continue to coexist with cryptocurrencies in the future of the mainstream financial payment system. The transition to a cashless society won't be a smooth ride. Bitcoin will need to cooperate with regulators, despite being one of the wildest ideas and theories. However, I am optimistic that Bitcoin, our beloved digital gold, has the potential to shine even brighter due to its unique advantages, such as transparency and security, which traditional banking systems struggle to match.
Will Bitcoin survive? It will undoubtedly leave its mark, regardless. Even if it doesn't become the undisputed king of cashless transactions, it will pave the way for a new financial landscape. While heading towards a cashless society, there are hurdles to overcome. Bitcoin needs to address scalability issues, transaction speed, and energy consumption. Regulatory clarity and widespread acceptance are crucial for Bitcoin to become a mainstream payment method. Who knows, it might happen or get closer to reality after a decade.
The speculation about the future of Bitcoin is uncertain; it could experience a significant surge to success, moon-shot to Mars, or face a drastic decline, crash landing in the Mariana Trench.
445  Economy / Reputation / Re: 3 Consecutive years on: January 11, 2024, 10:27:55 AM
Congratulations on reaching the 3-year milestone of active participation here in the forum and in the world of cryptocurrencies!

I completely understand the feeling of looking back and recognizing missed opportunities, I have plenty of those myself! Your journey is a testament to your resilience and passion for this field. It’s not uncommon to experience ups and downs; it's a roller coaster, especially in a volatile and rapidly evolving domain like cryptocurrencies. It's natural to feel disheartened during downturns. The important thing is that you’ve learned from your experiences and have come back stronger each time—that’s growth and impressive.

It's great to see that you’ve built meaningful relationships along the way, that kind of connection often make the journey more rewarding.

Here’s to many more years of active engagement, connections, learning, growing, continued success, and enjoying the journey ahead in the crypto space. Every step you take is a step forward, no matter how small it may seem. Even a small step is progress, keep going.
446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about long tails? on: January 11, 2024, 09:37:32 AM
It seems that I have applied the Martingale strategy method to almost all provably fair games. We don't know how many consecutive losses the long tails will have based on the count, so for you, you might expect or predict up to 20 consecutive losses, but what if the loss streak continues, and you go all-in on the 21st round, so you still end up losing. Yeah, strategies offer a framework, but the unpredictable elements remain constant. My biggest mistake in using this strategy is setting a stop profit but rarely setting a stop loss, so the overall outcome is negative.

As far as I know, parang wala pang update ang Binance regarding sa issue na to. Ang huli nilang statement na natatandaan ko ay committed naman daw sila na makipag allign sa mga applicable na local regulations and they have taken steps to address the SEC’s concerns, pero wala pa eh, kaya maghihintay pa talaga tayo sa development kung ano ba talaga plano nila. Tuluyan na silang mababan after February 27, 2024 if I'm not mistaken kung wala pa talaga sila gagawing action to comply.
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think women will make better gamblers by their nature? on: January 10, 2024, 11:36:49 PM

So do you think women will make better gamblers than men?
While it’s true that some studies suggest women tend to be more conservative and better at managing resources, these traits do not necessarily translate to being better at gambling. What makes a better gambler is likely more dependent on their attributes, experience, and approach to risk rather than their gender. Everyone, regardless of gender, can bring unique qualities to the table when it comes to gambling. It’s not accurate or fair to generalize that one gender would be inherently better at gambling than the other. Each individual’s abilities and experiences can significantly influence their gambling behavior.
449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF officially approved! on: January 10, 2024, 11:01:41 PM
This is indeed a historic moment for Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market. The U.S. SEC officially approved the listing of Bitcoin Spot ETFs on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. This approval will likely open the door to a new wave of institutional investment. Trading could start as early as Thursday morning. This move marks a significant milestone in the evolution of Bitcoin adoption within traditional financial markets.

450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Heading into 2024 crypto year: what are your hopes and fears? on: January 10, 2024, 10:48:55 PM
The market is dynamic with its highs and lows. Witnessing the uptrend is fascinating, yet it's an unpredictable space.
I am also optimistic about the potential approval of the BlackRock Bitcoin spot ETF and the impact it will have on Bitcoin prices once approved. Additionally, the upcoming halving in a few months will contribute to a significant price increase. I am hoping for a better year, this might be the year when one of my dreams comes true, which is crucial for me in accumulating satoshis, holding, profiting, and using them for emergencies and beneficial purposes. I am also looking forward to having a new project or platform to focus on, apart from Bitcoin.
The fear lies in the potential decline of the ETF, as I know it can have a substantial impact on the trajectory of Bitcoin prices. Seeing Bitcoin prices fall again and return to a bearish trend is something I hope doesn't happen. Fingers crossed.

Best of luck with the project's future developments, and I hope it gains the traction it deserves!
452  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Blackrock Layoff in relation sa Bitcoin Price Fluctuation on: January 10, 2024, 12:02:06 PM

453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Blockchain Games Revolutionize the Gaming Industry? on: January 09, 2024, 10:50:43 PM
The impact might not be significant if it gets listed on Binance because we are aware of the recent issues associated with it, and here in our community, there are concerns that it might soon face a ban. Nevertheless, the success of such technology will likely depend on the quality of the games it supports and how well it can maintain its user-friendly approach as it scales. I hope that as blockchain gaming evolves, the fun aspect doesn't get overshadowed. This is what happened in the past years with play-to-earn games; they focused more on earnings rather than the actual gameplay, and this led to their downfall.

Tapos itong dalawang turn-based RPG na Champions Arena at Eternal Paradox, both available sa Palystore. Yang Eternal Paradox ay parang Rise of Kingdoms at LOK (League of Kingdoms).

457  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bingo Plus Discussion on: January 09, 2024, 03:30:56 AM

458  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is It Still Ok To Buy BTC At $43875 ? on: January 08, 2024, 05:14:11 PM
It seems that your knowledge about buying Bitcoin may not be sufficient; you might not be ready yet. Without Bitcoin, there are no altcoins. It might feel different if you have altcoins but no Bitcoin. If you are hesitating just because of its increased price and not of various risks such as volatility, perhaps you should do more research. Its current price is still relatively low compared to its all-time high. As they say, if you won't buy or invest now, when will you? When it comes to buying Bitcoin, now is always the time.
459  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newbie, be careful of the Bitcoin information you process on: January 08, 2024, 04:42:06 PM
It's challenging at first. In researching, it's important to cross-reference information from different sources and not to take everything at face value. Sometimes, it gets confusing when inaccurate and misleading information is mixed in. It's crucial to know which types of sources to trust, specifically those that are verifiable, as they can build a solid foundation of knowledge from the beginning. Engaging in thoughtful discussions like these can help learn and adapt. I remember when I was just starting, I had a lot of questions like, Who wrote this? What are their credentials? and What's their motive? So it's always important to verify information with official data or trusted research
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we even need bitcoin mixers? on: January 08, 2024, 01:08:01 PM
This is the only alternative I can see for now, but nowadays, it's rare to find a non-KYC exchange. The fully decentralized ones are becoming scarce. DEX tends to be complex and not very user-friendly, which is why some still prefer CEX. I heard that Binance is planning to stop supporting Monero. As for ChangeNow, it appears to operate under a KYC-lite model, requesting documents only in cases of suspicious transactions. What about Kraken, CoinEx, and Changelly?
