441  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading Bitcoin and other alts still profitable? on: November 02, 2017, 01:16:17 PM
I was a trader awhile back, I want to say about a year ago now and wanted to know what the current state of the market is for the traders that are currently trading to this day? I know a lot of the current exchanges that I used for trading, such as Poloniex, are still around but aren't really being used much as before.

I wasn't able to profit much but would like to hear how people are doing these days. Thanks a ton!

This is the best opportunity to buy some cheaper altcoins mate. Altcoin market is bleeding. Most of the altcoins are dropping drastically as traders are going to Bitcoin for it's upcoming event which is the hardfork. I already bought some altcoins in the market hoping to get profits from that in the future. But i admit that trading altcoin right now is very hard. Compare to the first half of this year. Almost all altcoins are being pumped and im able to get huge profit from trading altcoin. But right now, most of my trades are failed and i lose huge amount. I still keep my altcoins anyway.
442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: November 02, 2017, 01:01:03 PM
Im really surprised that Bitcoin already reached $7000. I didn't expect that Bitcoin will reach it so quick. Just like that. I think it's because of China allowed trading platform there to operate. With 100 million USD traded in over 3 platforms there. In addition for this, people want to keep their Bitcoins for upcoming hardfork. They sold their altcoins for Bitcoin. So the volume goes to Bitcoin. I think it's these are the reason that drives Bitcoin price surge. I think Bitcoin will back down for at least between 5k and 6k USD for retracement after the hardfork and may pump again up to 8k at the end of the year.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think IOTA can take over bitcoin? on: November 01, 2017, 11:30:04 PM
We don't know. IOTA is a good altcoin. There's a possibility that IOTA surpass Bitcoin. But the chance is very thin. IOTA still under development. They need to improve more. Tangle technology seems great though. Also no fee for any transactions. I believe this altcoin. Actually i bought some miotas while the price is low. I hope i could get a decent profit from it.let's just wait and see what will happen to this altcoin. Only time will tell what will happen to IOTA. IOTA has a very active dev. Actually many companies are already merged with IOTA. But the price seems doesn't affected. I think because of FUDs.
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASIC vs GPU on: November 01, 2017, 10:58:48 PM
ASIC is faster than GPU. It is build to solve blocks faster. But it is only build for few cryptocurrency only, bitcoin or any sha256 altcoins. ASIC miner is the popular mining equipment these days. But GPU has a lot of advantage compared to ASIC. GPU has a lot of choices which cryptocurrency to mine. Most altcoins supports GPU mining. So if you're preferred with GPU mining. You should aim for altcoins not bitcoin. Because it's hard to mine bitcoin with GPU because it's more slower compared to ASIC. But still depends on what cryptocurrency you want to mine. GPU for altcoins and ASIC for bitcoin and other sha256 altcoins. But if i were to choose. I choose GPU. Ethereum supports it. I like Ethereum because it has a future.
445  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Which web wallet charges the lesser fees? on: November 01, 2017, 10:10:06 AM
Blockchain.info wallet i think has the capabilty to customize the fee for every transaction you are going to do. Or i could be wrong. Some web wallets don't have a feature like that. That's why i never use one in my entire life except xapo. But i stopped using their wallet because their support sucks. Make sure you enter a not too low. So i will not get stucked at the process. Anyway, wallets like Electrum and Mycelium is a good wallet. You should try them. I don't really trust web wallets because you don't have full access to you Bitcoin since they are not allow you to hold or access you privates keys. I usually set my fee to .0008 btc/kb when it's not really urgent. I think the funds will receive after 12 hours to 1 day maximum.
446  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any online wholesale store that accepts bitcoin? on: November 01, 2017, 09:48:41 AM
You can try Purse.io. You can buy products here with your bitcoins. I think it's a legit one. I've been seeing this site for a year now. With 15% save on every product you buy. That's not bad. It is also integrated with amazon. So you can buy amazon products with Gift card. It's useful. If you don't like it. You can try eGifter. Same as purse. You can buy eGift cards with your bitcoin. But unlike Purse, it's supports Amazon, Sephora, Home Depot, JCPenny and many more. Also check out Newegg. It's an electronic retail shop. But it does not accept Bitcoin directly but it use Bitpay which allows you to purchase products there with your Bitcoins. Hope it helps you.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: They Must Evolve or Die! on: November 01, 2017, 09:25:34 AM
Because they want to better altcoins which suits the needs of people. They need to innovate their products in able to get more consumers to buy the product. That's why we see some altcoins are having an upgrade called hard fork or soft fork. It can improve or fix glitch at their project. Even Bitcoin, people wants it to evolve. Like what's happen recently. The hardfork just happen. They split and create a new one. But unfortunately, Bitcoin still keeps on pumping. It's because majority of people still want the original one. But i know one day they are gonna need to improve Bitcoin. Because altcoins these days keeps on improving. It is needed to keep the project alive.
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you base your investment in a coin on? on: November 01, 2017, 09:07:22 AM
Making a research is very important if you are going to invest on a coin or ICO. From researching, it can give you an idea and you can determine if the investment you are going to join is a legitimate one or a fraud investment. You can't just flow and rely on hypes. There's so many shill accounts here who are just advertising their products. But when you look at it. It's a no potential cryptocurrency. So be careful and make a research to make a good decision. You don't have to deeper your research. Just make a research about the people behind that project. It's hard to join at any ICOs these days because of what happening to ICOs. Tezos for example. This is the biggest ICO I've seen so far. But look what happen?
449  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Broker BITSO on: October 31, 2017, 11:46:56 PM
Yes, it's a safe service. It's a mexican wallet which you can buy and sell Bitcoin. However, they are charging higher compare to other Brokers here. Also this service only available in Mexico. You can't avail this service if you're not in Mexico afaik. There's a lot of Brokers out there. You can use 1broker. You can check their ANN section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=123492.740. It's also has a copy trade feature. But i don't know if it's good or not. I never tried this or any broker. So be careful. Try it first with small amount. Then, if you think it's safe enough. You can deposit huge amount there.
450  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: signature bounty campaign with good conditions on: October 31, 2017, 11:18:02 PM
Most of the good signature campaigns are on Bitcoin marketplace. They are paying good than any bounty here in this forum. But it's very hard to get qualify there as the managers are strict and a lot of rules to follow unlike altcoins bounties. They are not so strict and they allow to post at any sections. But in terms of payment. I think it is way more bigger than altcoins. So if you're confident enough with your posts quity. Feel free to apply there. Here's the open for new participants
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2222129.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2312683.0

These are good campaigns out there. You can apply there if you want.
451  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchanges on: October 31, 2017, 10:42:33 PM
It will be convenient if you buy with cards not cash. Yes, you cqn buy Bitcoin with cash. But you need to find a traders who wants to trade their Bitcoin for cash. You cannot find any exchange that accepts cash because they are online. Try localbitcoins.com. You can find traders nearby who wants to sell their Bitcoins for cash. Some people buy Bitcoin thru their bank accounts. I think Coinbase allows you to do that. I think that will be more convenient than finding seller personally. You just have to submit anything that are needed in able to buy Bitcoin. You need to give your identity to them.
452  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin actually just a Investment coin? on: October 31, 2017, 10:33:42 PM
Nope. Bitcoin is designed for decentralization. Bitcoin was meant to be an alternative to our current financial system. But the way i see it. People preferred Bitcoin as an investment. Lets admit the fact that we only use Bitcoin to generate good profits from it. They appreciate it's value not as a digital currency because no one wants to spend it. That's why the price keeps going up. Even those altcoins. We only buy them to increase our profits. People don't care about them as a currency but as an investment. That's the truth.
453  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will reach $10,000 before the end of the year? on: October 31, 2017, 01:58:17 PM
No one can tell what exactly will happen to Bitcoin's price at the end of this year. Bitcoin continues to dominate the market. And by the way it moves. The chance is pretty small. But again, this is cryptocurrency. This is more on speculation. But in my own opinion. Bitcoin is more likely to hit atleast $8000 at the end of this year. $10000 i think is too much. Im just lowering my expectations. But i still believed that Bitcoin could hit that price in the future.

454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: who hate altcoins ;) mostly eth on: October 31, 2017, 01:35:14 PM
newly added : except monero, doge and most of old coins

Really? dogecoin?
You hate Ethereum but you love Dogecoin. Man, dogecoin is a trash coin and way better than Ethereum. I guess you had a very bad experience on Ethereum. I respect your opinion though. Ethereum could be a threat to Bitcoin in the future. But right now, Ethereum is way too far from Bitcoin. I will definitely buy some Ethereum. So i can diversify my portfolio. I don't hate altcoins because i could get more profit from them. Besides, bitcoin and ethereum are different with each other. They are different in terms of usage and so as the other altcoins in the market.
455  Other / Meta / Re: How many posts, that we can put in Bitcoin Forum once a day..? on: October 31, 2017, 01:01:35 PM
You can posts as much as you can. There is no limit. But make sure you are not posting senseless posts like others do here. But as long you post helpful to the community. Theres no reason to ban you. They will ban you if they found that youre just spamming or copy-pasting from other sites. That can result a ban or even permaban. So be careful on posting. Anyway, posting too much i think you could get any benefits from that and inappropriate since you're a newbie. No disrespect. Try to post quality and constructive post if you are aiming to join signature campaigns in the future.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is DogeCoin even worth buying? on: October 30, 2017, 02:38:03 PM
I see a large amount of sell orders for DogeCoin, and from the looks of the Bear charts, DogeCoin looks like a dying currency. If I was looking for a "long-term" currency, DogeCoin is the one I would avoid...?  Huh

Interested to hear the community's thoughts on this?

Maybe. But this only good for short trade. For long term? That's questionable. It's circulating supply is too huge. They are adding more supplies every year. That's crazy. Devs don't really care about it's future. Anyway, it's a joke coin. So don't take this altcoin seriously. But i see that there's still supports this altcoin. Just invest your money to other potential altcoins out there. There's a lot of altcoins which are way more better than this. One thing i don't like about this altcoin aside from It's supply. The developers. Their are not so active. I think they dumped this project as i don't even see any news about this altcoin. Be careful though. This is a pump and dump coin. So if you see it pumping. Make sure there's a reason for that pump.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the best alt for day trading? on: October 30, 2017, 02:22:04 PM
Can someone tell me the alt coins with high fluctuations throughout the day, so that I can make some steady profit in  day trading?

Nothing. If you see the altcoin market right now. The market is bleeding in red. Most of the altcoins right now are declining. So you can't expect that you could get easy profit on day trade because people are dumoing their altcoins for Bitcoin. But actually it's the right opportunity to buy much cheaper altcoins to trade it for long or mid trade. Expect bearish altcoin market for weeks because people are going to hold their bitcoins to acquire fork coins to get quick money from that. After that, i think the altcoin market will be bullish again. It's hard to day trade when the market is bearish. So i suggest, HODL. I got some IOTAs and some SYS on my bag. I hope i could get huge profit from that in the future.
458  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A university in Vietnam receives tuition fees in bitcoin on: October 30, 2017, 02:11:53 PM
Here we go:
https://blockexplorer.com/news/starting-2018-using-cryptocurrencies-like-bitcoin-vietnam-will-illegal-subject-9000-fine/?utm_content=bufferce690
Shit happens. Looks that students will be not able to pay for tuition with bitcoins :/

Syke.. Lol😆😆😆
https://www.google.com.ph/amp/s/www.cryptocoinsnews.com/vietnam-bans-bitcoin-payment-method-adopters-face-9000-penalty/amp/
Poor students. They cannot pay their tuition with their bitcoins now that the Vietnam Central Bank already decided to prohibit the acceptance of bitcoin as payment method. That's really sucks. This only proves that they cannot manage to control and regulate cryptocurrency with their own hand.

Anyway, Bitcoin is not totally banned there (i guess). Because i see that they are just pointing out the ban of bitcoin for payment method. So i believed that Bitcoin is not totally banned there. But this is a bad sign for bitcoin there.
459  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptorobo trustable? on: October 30, 2017, 01:59:32 PM
It's clear a scam because theres a lot of bad review against this service.
http://www.binaryscamalerts.com/crypto-robot-365-review-scam-cryptorobot-software/
https://thebestbinaryoptionsbrokers.net/total-scam-crypto-robot-365-review

"Make up to $465 per day, minimum investment $250"
Looks suspicious to me. You can't just earn that on one day.
They are just publishing fake people who are on the top of their list who earned huge amount.
It's not even on the list of cryptocurrency broker. They even fake the the date when the site starts to operate. They claim that this service started since 2016. But based on the source. The site created and registered on 2017. So clearly, they are trying to deceive people to attract them to enter their scheme. Be careful with these kind of investment guys.
460  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Service That Sends Alerts For Bitcoin Deposit on: October 30, 2017, 01:38:28 PM
Yeah, actually im using it right now. This is a local wallet. It sends an alert whether i send or receive Bitcoins on my wallet. It's a good feature though it has a history which you can see it's recent activities. It's useful even though im not active on my email because im more on facebook and other messaging apps. At least they care to send us an alert. That's kind of service i want. Usually i only see an alert on sending not receiving. Im using Poloniex. Everytime i deposit btc there, i never gets an alert if i already received the funds. They only send an alert to confirm and complete the sending process.
