You are lucky that you got 8 merit from single reply. Even Jet Cash given 5 merit. But your profile history is very poor . There is no any useful post by your own. Your reply are not deserve more merit ( my opinion). Maximum your reply on bounty thread. The true is that you want rank up for signature campaign for more spamming. Sorry for that from my side I am not able to merited you, I don't know about OP iasenko  . Best of luck.

Thanks for your review man. Im thinking the same here, a small breath of fresh air is not enough in his case.

@napsters, man I think you have the qualities required to be a good poster, but you focus on wrong priorities.
Stay away from the "zombie discussions" - the meaningless spam mega-threads. Try to learn and discuss more useful things. Joining bounties, OK. Just be sure that they are not the only reason for you to be here.
Good luck, and you are welcome again when you change your posting habits Wink
4402  Other / Meta / Re: Request: add bitcointalk.TO to [phishing] list on: July 02, 2018, 08:56:53 PM
I wonder how the other phishing sites were changed to [phishing] for no time but this sh!t is still unhanded for so many months now.

I still ask why? The case with bitcointaLLk was resolved in matter of days, here we are talking about months, many months..
4403  Other / Meta / Re: System error in double Merit submissions on: July 02, 2018, 08:53:27 PM
Interesting, this problem persisted in the beginning, I also experienced something similar, but it was when I use the "back" button.
As far as I know this was fixed and I personally tried a few times the back button again with no issues. Idk about the refresh I'll try it as soon as I find someone deserving merit Wink
4404  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary profiles of bitcointalk. on: July 02, 2018, 01:26:44 PM
Wonder why MagicalTux is missing from the list.
A good example how a trustworthy guy, full of knowledge, even on the DT can turns out to be a scammer playing big/huge.
4405  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: One (1) Merit point to Rank-up Service, READ THE RULES BEFORE YOU APPLY!! on: July 02, 2018, 12:20:19 PM
Helped many to rank up, looking for some new good posters. Bump!

Great work as usual.

4407  Other / Meta / Re: [Request]Using homographs to be forbiden and added to the rules, Vote please. on: July 02, 2018, 10:14:01 AM
I am not sure if there might ever be a legitimate need for the use of these symbols. If not, we may want to change SMF settings so that users cannot use these symbols, or that these symbols are automatically changed to the letter they are designed to look like.

We are waiting for reaction from theymos and I know it can take a few more months, in the mean time I just want to report all those using homographs but I have to find another reason to report them, coz using homographs is not against the rules... yet.
4408  Other / Meta / Re: How did you lost your bitcointalk account? on: July 02, 2018, 09:19:14 AM
How about spyware like keylogger...
@iasenko: I wonder how you did you miss this even after the mention? It's a valid reason.  Smiley

All those like Trojan horse, keyloggers, etc, go to the 3rd party affected software... updated.

My initial intention was not to make a guide or list here. I just wonder how, all those people here complaining and waiting for account recovery, lost their accounts.
If you keep your security at dissent level and use the "Free Common Sense Internet Security 2018" it should be good enough.

Updated,
Thank you guys. It's good to learn from each other's mistakes .
4411  Other / Meta / How did you lost your bitcointalk account? on: July 01, 2018, 10:35:11 PM
Every day I see many people complaining how they lost their accounts and want to recover them.
How the hell did you get your account lost/hacked?

We need a guide how to prevent this from happening if there isn't already one/few I'm not aware of.

I know some of the reasons I'm gonna list here:

  • First and main reason is the account selling. You buy account from a scammer, he gets the money, you get control over the account and soon he comes here, claiming that his account was hacked and trying to get it back by providing signed proof.
  • 2015 hack. About the recent server compromise
  • The Secret Question option - if you try to recover you password using the secret question option, your account will be locked for revision from the admins. Thanks to Joel_Jantsen for the input
  • Third-party affected software/sites,wallets, fake mobile apps, compromised computers,trojan horses,keyloggers etc.
  • Phishing links, like bitcointalk.[to] bitcointallk.[org], or just clicking random faucet links...
  • Using weak or the same password on different sites or just email password without additional projection, Thanks to LTU_btc for the input
  • Using your account as collateral
  • Using Public Wifi Networks/Connections*, thanks to SFR10
  • Pure stupidity, like your wife (no offense) has access to the account and to all of your bitcoins....

*Does not affect so much the security as nowadays most of the sites /as bitcointalk/ use HTTPS request and they are encrypted so sniffing them is no use.

Am I missing something here??

Tell me your story.
4412  Other / Meta / Re: [Request]Using homographs to be forbiden and added to the rules, Vote please. on: July 01, 2018, 09:16:04 PM
Are there any legitimate reasons for needing to use monographs in a forum post? I can think of none. Can anyone correct me?

If there are none, then the only reason to use them is to hide plagiarism, in which case they should be banned.

No reasons whatsoever..

OK then, a question:
What it takes to add something to the rules, when it comes to something abuseful like homogprahs?

Another bump. I'll do this until there is a reaction on the case.
Already 22 cases from today only /one is a copy/paste report actually/

And a new bump and anoter 24 cases only for today...

4413  Other / Meta / Re: DING - ranking up - DOES THE MERIT SYSTEM ACTUALLY WORKS? on: July 01, 2018, 08:15:56 PM
Well congrats from me too.

If you haven't walk this path yourself you cannot understand what this means for a newbie to rank up to full member.
I know and I was really excited about it when I became Full Member. Now I have my avatar- the kind of personality in this anonymous word and I have everything I need.

Soon I'll have the activity to be a Sr. Member and maybe the missing merit will come too, you never know, but I don't really care and everything happens naturally, no need to join any merit review services, nothing.

So, just a tip, focus on being you here, even behind the anonymity of the forum just be yourself.

Do something useful, like I'm planning to build soon my first full node and LN node, and open a few channels.
Plan your steps ahead.

Good luck mate. We are lucky to live in amazing time now, don't miss the opportunities to change the world, you can.

P.S. btw I just love Tenacious D
4414  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Drying Up? on: June 30, 2018, 09:55:45 PM
~

The main problem is the greed. 99% of the people coming to the forum (after the BTC hit the news)are coming for the cash and don't care about the technology nor the possibilities at all. They don't respect the forum nor the founders because there's enough freedom here and they can abuse it and they become even more greedy.

Somebody aked me some time ago on FB how many compaigns  im into at the moment, I said none. He said that he have aroud 80 at the same time and he was wondering how his friend was capable of "working" on 200 with his 20ish alts..
It's just discussing.

4415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First rig construction issues on: June 30, 2018, 09:36:04 PM
Can you try booting up the two graphic cards directly on the motherboard, or in a different PC for test?
Idk much about the mining rigs but for the normal PCs not moving fans is a bad indicator.

Try moving this thread to the mining section, you gonna have higher chase to get correct answers.
Go to the lower left corner and you'll see the Move option.
4416  Other / Meta / Re: Incorrect Recaptcha. on: June 30, 2018, 08:52:02 PM
1. Check the site you are login in, be sure in doesn't end with .to instead of org.
2. If you have gmail account, log in to it then you don't need to solve Captcha anymore.
3. Do you use Tor or VPN? Give us a bit more info so we can be more helpful.
4417  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Drying Up? on: June 30, 2018, 07:46:55 PM
The problem is not so much in the merit drying out, it's more like many people now are focused on getting merit and that is what is wrong. Everyone writing with the only purpose of ranking up, same threads with different names, newbie guides, tips all over the forum.

I'm trying to give away all my merits to the newbies, but lately nothing fresh is coming up, so im meriting from time to time the "usual suspects".

And the results now is that we have a higher quality spam, thats all.
4418  Other / Meta / Re: Publishes the same messages on the forum. Need DTs Action on: June 30, 2018, 11:08:29 AM
Report to Moderator is the way to go here, no need to make a thread about it.
DTs take care what is not moderated by the forum staff, like accounts selling, merit abuse, scams, etc.
4419  Other / Meta / Re: Merit as a path to salvation on: June 29, 2018, 07:46:32 PM
OMG, another religion is about to be born.I guess I have to leave my pastafarian life and the Holy Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster just to start preaching the 10 bitcointalk commandments and bless people with my Holy sMerit.

I have already started writing the "Old testaments" for the newbies so soon I'll come out with the full Bible I think Wink

We already have a Pope in the face of Vod and theymos is no more than a God here, so.

Oh man, I'll miss my colander... Sad
4420  Other / Meta / Re: Banned Account on: June 29, 2018, 03:26:32 PM
Somebody messed up and edited a ban trigger which temprarily unbanned everyone. Theymos sorted it though.
