Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?
depends on the risk of the investment. if it is a low risk investment with a fairly significant return. then obviously the investment is better than hiding away your money in a bank. also check if your bank offers a interest rate on your principle, they usually offer a low amount.

Banks usually put interest on your money there. But the amount it earn as interest is so small compared to what it will earn if you put it inba good investment. Even investments with a low yield and low risk will earn a lot more than it will earn in a bank. The bank interest is so small it almost amount to nothing.
4442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: May 30, 2016, 11:45:29 PM
For me it's definitely the opportunity to gain without any effort. It's so addicting simply because of that. You would rather spend your time gambling, than to work 8 hours a day, am I right?

Also the chat is just so addicting to go on. So many people giving out tips and chatting about gambling - your common topic.

sure a ordinary life with working 8 hours a day or even more, yes we are slaves, is boring and depressing, many people try to escape that souless life with shortcuts like gamble.
Because of the stress people get for working 8 hrs a day + over time daily. Is really a stressful life, so people tend to find ways to remove
their stress, some other people finds to drink alcoholic beverages and the most common is removing it by gambling.

A drink or two will surely remove stress. But gambling will just add more stress when you lose money. I do not think gambling is a good stress reliever. It just adds more pressure when you want to win back any money loss due to.excessive gambling. It is better to do sports to relieve you from your stress.
4443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: May 30, 2016, 02:48:12 PM
In wider effects gambling wreck our life and there is no doubt about this but i would like to say this i have awesome experience with gambling and feeling lucky, so many times i had won large amount and that huge winning helped me a lot to fix some problem into my personal life so that i will say it fixed my life.
Don't say that man because I am a gambler and it does not wreck my life. I have been enjoying gambling for the past 10 years and until now nothing changes still doing it with such enjoyment, I think in general especially when some irresponsible gamblers do gambling without thinking the risk and put a huge amount of money that they cannot afford to lose then it would really wreck their life but in the ends it's still depends on the decision of an individual on how to handle his gambling habits.
You must be a very good in handling your gambling habits and not giving up to addiction. It must have been a great determination to avoid over betting and being addicted. With that, I salute you. You are an example that addiction can be controlled. If you can share it so that others can be like you and not wreck their life due to gambling.
4444  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: May 30, 2016, 02:42:02 PM
I earn some on bitcoin, but not enough to be considered a living. It's just an added income on the side and to add budget to buy more bitcoin while there are price dips here and there. Maybe moving up a couple of ranks more would make my earnings somewhat relevant, but for now, it is what it is.

Just like what I am right now. But for now, I am still not using what I earn on the side. I am holding it up until the magic numbers come. I am hoping bitcoin will reach a 1000$ level and all the hardship and holding I endure will be full fruitful. I am still earning and holding until that day comes.
4445  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: May 30, 2016, 02:34:14 PM
If you want to earn some money later than it will be smarter that you are going to make a smart investment so you can later after a long time sell it with a lot of profit and that is nice.
But of course it will be really hard to know what the value will be and when you can sell it but that is just the risk that you should take.

Every investment is risky and you have to take that risk in order to earn good profits in future, because saving will never make you rich in long run.

In all aspects of investment always there is a risk, because the risk comes up to all kinds of business, risk of losing your business or investment.
But if there is a risk of losing, of course there is for sure earnings. If you want to earn that big, you must come up and go into that risk.

Yeah, higher risks, higher returns, so if you will not take higher risks in your life then don't expect of higher profits of getting rich in future, at any stage risk should be taken.

Investment always involves a certain amount of risk. It all depends on the amount of risk you can afford. If you are a risk taker, then a high yield high risk invetsments are good for you. Normally, those are short term investments. But if you can't afford to take risks, then there are also investments that offer low yield low risk funds. You just have to find them yourself.
4446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: May 30, 2016, 02:24:38 PM
Probably yes, as I gamble mainly for fun, so being rich wouldn't affect me that much. I might do it less though, as there isn't that much of a point gambling while rich. Also, if I was rich, I would probably want to hold onto my money.

It's a matter of, do you like  being rich? And do you like to keep on being rich? If the answer is both yes, then avoid gambling at all times. Gambling can give you money SOMETIMES, but most of the time it takes them away. So better stay away from it, rich or not.
4447  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: May 30, 2016, 02:17:01 PM
To get rich is not instant, the only instant is from gambling. You need to work and getting rich is not easy. Get graduated from university and do business.

Gambling will never make you rich, it can make you winner once or twice not everytime, and you cannot depend on only gambling to become rich.

Gambling can make you winner every time, if you only play once or twice Grin
And if you play lottery for even thousands times and you win millions you will be on profit for sure.

Cannot trust gambling or lotteries to get rich, there is no possibility of winning every time and higher chances would be I will loose everything and get bankrupt, not good idea for me.

Yeah, it is not wise to think that you can be rich thru lottery. The chance of you hitting a jackpot is slimmer than the chance you will be hit by a lightning. So, you will just be wasting money betting on it. It is better that you work hard and earn money then invest. You have a better chance you get rich that way.
4448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gambling is Exploding on: May 30, 2016, 02:09:02 PM
Thanks to the great minds who visioned our future technology.  (The theoretical physicist of today)  Because of them we have a technology of cashless purchasing, to put bets online while traveling or at home or even fishing in the middle of a lake.  And that's explosive especially using btc.

Well with great minds surely is a best thing and it is worst it if they share it to the world what I like about this technology is the fast transaction and security of this called bitcoin and I truly enjoy how convenient it is in the lives of many people!
You see indeed that Bitcoin is working well with Bitcoin and that is so nice to see because we can now spend Bitcoin also more and more which that is perfect.
Because online gambling is becoming more popular you see that people are using Bitcoin as their payment method.
You mean gambling is working well with bitcoin, they go hand in hand and they will succeed together, to be honest without the gambling industry adopting bitcoin, it will not succeed right now.

you are indeed correct gambling is working well with bitcoin , many users are using bitcoin because they can  gamble anytime, anywhere they want to ,
Bitcoins makes our gambling life easy but the negative effect due to we can easily gamble we are very prone to losing all our money when we are addicted with it.

The negative effects are for gamblers only. But most of the effects of gambling to bitcoin is good for all of bitcoin users. So, I think, it balances the effect out. Let the gamblers gamble and let us enjoy the effects of their habits. Anyway, they are adults and can see the effects themselves. If the continue good for us, if not, good for them.
4449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how much you lost money in gambling? on: May 30, 2016, 02:00:47 PM
I lost BTC overnight because playing football gambling bet, I bet in a few matches and the results of my many lose the match, until now I may lose 0.8 BTC superbly over for gambling, I wanted to stop but it was very difficult

0.8 is a lot of bitcoins especially now that the price is soaring high. You must have been very disappointed to lose that much. But there is no turning back the time so the most you can do is earn that back thru honest work.I hope you learned your lesson and try harder to stop gambling immediately.
4450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2016 Play-Off Discussion on: May 30, 2016, 01:55:02 PM
it will be a disgrace for gsw if they lose this one at home after forcing the game 7 but i guess okc already been demoralized because of that loss if they want to bounce back i think they need to let all the players to step up not only those superstars but the coach needs to include everyone here and make a tight defense to curry and clay.
Home teams losing three times in a row is not really probable. First Toronto to get knocked out and then okc's last game. Not likely for GSW to give this one up.
We cannot tell it now yet, tomorrow is the final game of the two great team in the west, anything can happen as they are both really good, if the warriors cannot have a good shooting percentage, the thunder will take advantage is getting points in the paint.

It now boils down who wants a championship the most. It does not matter whose home court it is, but the desire to go to the finals and have a chance for an NBA title. Durant have not yet won a championship yet. I am sure he will be hungry. Gsw wants to protect or seal their achievements this year with a ring. Without a ring, those records is nothing.
4451  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: May 30, 2016, 10:02:25 AM
If you really want to get rich in future then hold your coins for next 10 years and bitcoin will help you in getting rich for sure in future.

excellent I will buy more bitcoin then I will hold only 1 year and after when increase more price in bitcoin  then I will sell  bitcoin , i hope very soon some year after they will get rich  and you will do some thing in your future.

That's a good plan , holding for 1 year will surely make it profitable and it is better if you are going to hold so many bitcoins on your wallet.
That is somekind of short term investment, but it is very profitable. And when you get your earnings there, you can use the profit for
another investment that you can think.

Holding for 1 year would be good but you won't see that higher price in next 1 years, its better to hold for some more years and sell when price reaches to $10k.
I can not imagine if we hold bitcoin for 10 years. even withstand one year alone it had seemed very long. I guess it's not a good idea, perhaps investing significantly prolonged and investaqsi probably better, build a business and make a lot of business, giving him advertising system, that might ensure you rich in a very short time, but it requires quite a lot of capital.

It is really hard to hold bitcoin for that long. You need a lot of determination and discipline not to spend those precious bitcoins. But look at the bright side if you do. Bitcoin price will be very high after all those years and you will be rich. Holding it is worth it. But if you cannot really do it, then I suggest, you have the half of it for trading, So that you will not be bored holding all your bitcoins.
4452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling problem on: May 30, 2016, 09:59:28 AM
gambling is not the problem. The problem is when we play without control. I like to play for fun. Often use some gambling sites that give Bitcoin free to play. When I want more adrenaline for a moment I play with my money. so it's exciting. But I always know when I stop.

Everyone starts gambling as a fun, no one knows when they get addicted to it and that is the major problem, I am trying to quit gambling but I am not able to.

It is too bad that you reach the point where you cannot quit gambling. I hope you can seek professional help so that you can quit it as soon as possible before you get broke. This is the problem with gambling, you cannot tell any signs when you are addicted. But when you can say you are an addict, you cannot quit it anymore.
4453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: May 30, 2016, 09:57:16 AM
If I were rich I will do anything I want that I cannot do when I was still poor, and part of that is gambling on a regular basis. I know gambling is very dangerous but as a rich person I do not worry that much anymore as I have a lot of money to burn.

You have a lot of money to burn, but your money is not infinite. It is two different thing. Just as you said, you cannot gamble when you are poor. But if you gamble when you are rich and never make a thought of your money and future, then in no time you will go back to being poor. Gambling will bankrupt you when you are not careful about it. So I advice, stay away from gambling for your own good.
4454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: May 30, 2016, 09:56:13 AM
Gambling is not principally wrong. It's just another method for somebody to make money off you. But if you think about it - gambling is like a demon, an addiction that you just can't get rid of. In that sense it's very very wrong. For your own sake.

If you win, obviously you feel good about gambling. But if you lose - you'll feel the wrong side of it.

I agree with that gambling is not wrong it depends on people on how they deal with it, but really gambling is intended for fun only and as a part of entertainment but their are other abuse it and make it as a choice where they gamble their faith and money to much and hoping to earn big in short period of time,  and it is really wrong if you are greedy to gamble without discipline and set limitation on when to stop,  and it turns you lose big money enough but still keep gambling more and totally that can wreck your life and that's totally wrong.
No way gambling is wrong, it cannot be because its entertaining and it gives us a time to relax out of our busy schedules in life. I would say that in gambling we need to waste some money to get the excitement we want but it still worth it if you got satisfied doing it, remember happiness of a person cannot be bought with money so gambling is an opportunity for us to enjoy and never treat it the other way around.

It does not mean that it is entertaining, it is right. If what you consider as entertainment can cause you some life difficulties then it is wrong. And you can find other ways to entertain yourself without having to risk your money or risk being addicted to it. Though you cannot buy happiness, you can also be happy and disciplined in what you choose. It is different to other people but for me, if my happiness can bring bad luck to me and my family, then it is not true happiness.
4455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: May 27, 2016, 10:06:04 PM
I never gambled a few times in the past, but I lose hold and never tasted victory. Maybe who knows how to gamble to win can help me to give me tips. Because I think is very difficult to win gambling.

Yes, it is possible to get better from where you are. Anything is possible. You just have to believe in yourself again and take action! Don't sit around waiting for things to get better. Yeah it's very difficult to gamble that's why think twice when you bet.

Yes, you really will never win in gambling. All is lost if you force to win in it because the house will never let you win.  It is better to spend your time with your family or seek new ways to earn more money. It will strenghten your family ties and have more money.
4456  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: May 27, 2016, 10:01:05 PM
I dont think that its a smart move to quit your full time job and get full time into bitcoin as no one is sure what will be the future of bitcoin.

Exactly and I don't want to see my family begging on the streets in future for the worsts decision that I can take.
of course you don't have to quit your job if you have doubts that you can provide for your family thru bitcoin. Switch only if you are 100% sure that you are earning more than enough to make your family live comfortably. Otherwise, maintain your job and do bitcoin onthe sides.

You  can afford to get full time on bitcoin only if you have huge capital to invest, and that capital will be helpful in trading as even small fluctuations can give you good profits.

Or if you own an.exchange site or an online casinos. Both of.this businesses can rake you in serious amount of money. Downside is, they also need large amount of capital to get started. Otherwise, better keep your job and earn bitcoin on the side and hold it. If you earn enough bitcoin before halving, that can turn into a lot of money when price rises after halving. So you can exchange it to fiat and start your own business. Then you can quit your job and.focus on your business.
but it needs a lots of capital and i think this is not the only way to be a full time in bitcoin.. its better to study some skills online programming skills that you can offer here in our forum..

It is not easy to learn programming and the competition in it is already too high. So, you will have a hard time landing a job in it because you are new and less experienced. It will be better if you do that on a day job. You can enter companies who accept fresh grads for junior programmer and you will have a better pay than doing it in bitcointalk service section.
4457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: May 27, 2016, 09:51:45 PM
Because if your gaining, your mind think that you can earn more. And if your losing, your mind think that you can recover your loss.
Looks like your right thats why people are always coming back in gambling this is just like me that if im gaining i am thinking that i can make easy money in gambling but honestly i realize that it a part of addiction..
But i cant still stop gambling because im hoping to win big..
Well I can control mine, what I do is limit what i deposit in gambling sites. For example I want to gamble I just put 10usd in my deposit address in gambling and if I lose well I stop if I hit my mark gain. I also stop.

This just shows that you are not.addicted yet and that you have great control of.your gambling habit. The question is, how long can you keep that control up. Continue playing gambling and there will come a time that you get addicted in what you do. Then you will lose a control.that you have. I really hope that time will not come.

After winning todays game, gsw will give thier best at game 6 ,cause it will be win or go home for them.
Game 6 at okc the outlook of this game is no blood no foul. They will forced a deciding game 7 at golden state.
if gsw force this to game 7 it would be a good series to watch out as okc dominate the game in their homecourt I just wondering how gsw prevent them to get the wins. maybe step needs to show everything just like what he did today, might needed for him to be more aggressive not only to trust his shooting capability outside but bring threat inside and pass more as well.

The pressure will be on the OKC if it does get to Game 7 so they have to finish the series at home. It will be a high time for betting sites if it gets to Game 7 though.

OKC  really plays good at home, so you can expect them to win this series on game 6. But if curry do some really good shooting, then OKC  are.in trouble. Curry is hard to stop when he is on fire. He can shoot anywhere in the court and still make the shots.

But I am looking forward the.game of cavs and raptors. I think this series will go on game 7. Both teams are.really good at home.court.
4460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: May 27, 2016, 06:17:04 PM
The earnings from gambling can be unlimited but it depends on how much luck you have if you have enough luck you can become rich.
The same rule is also that you can become poor of it of course.

that is true. it can be unlimited but also it can be impossible to hit those numbers and win that big amounts.

i mean there is always the very faint possibility of winning the jackpot but nobody wins it.
Yes, the virtual reality of gambling is the magic to all the gamblers. I am not ready to believe that I am not able to make any profits from gambling but also I believe gambling is not for profit making. Yes, we can make thousands of bitcoin from gambling, but we are loosing some bitcoins in gambling time to time.....

Gambling can win or lose. So you cannot rely on it as a steady source of income. But you can earn a lot sometimes and that will be beneficial if you have a huge need of money. But, it is not guaranteed. So, if you want to a guaranteed source of income, better work and don't gamble. But if you nust want a chance to tripple or quadriple your money, then gamble. Just don't whine when you lose all your money.
