4501  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SUPERVCC- SCAM on: November 05, 2018, 02:13:36 PM
I did a little bit of digging and found the following:

- It appears, they have a sister site (purevcc) with "fake reviews archived [1],[2] (there are a few more identical reviews on both websites [e.g. Aminul Islam's reviews])" prior to its "creation date"
- Both have fake testimonial pages (using fake images archived [1],[2] [e.g. Elisa Meis is "Dr Samuel Forster"]).

Recently bought a verified paypal from them for 45$ , after 5 days i get a message from paypal saying:
Can you post the transaction link (there "might be" a connection to crypto_sagor)?
4502  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dude...Whats your problem? Got issues? Questions.. on: November 05, 2018, 07:44:28 AM

Its image/reputation among the public.

3. ^^ What is so difficult about these things and why?
Greedy people ("get rich quick schemes").

4. What have you tried to solve these issues? Did anything work? What didn’t work?
a) Yes.
b) Yes but in a small scale.
c) Majority of them, see us (those that warn them) as a jealous/bitter person.

6. What interested you in cryptocurrency to try to learn about it in the first place? What are your main interests in in the space now?
a) Limitless (in terms of usage [based on where I am]).
b) Catching/stopping scammers.

7. What are your motives for, or what do you want to achieve,  being involved in cryptocurrency? (What you hope to gain)
Freedom + scam-free environment.

8. If there was something that could solve your issues regarding crypto, what do you think it would it be?
More BTCitcoin and other crypto-currency ATMs (not related to my previous answers)...
4503  Economy / Reputation / Re: Avoid this scam marketing / advertising agency - Cryptomisemedia UK on: November 04, 2018, 08:30:47 AM
Thank you very much for your in-depth investigative work.
You're very welcome.

We now know Intiaz Khan is the real scammer.
Just to be clear, I didn't mean to imply that "Intiaz Khan" is the real scammer (based on my findings, "Rahul Kumar" is impersonating him).
4504  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: November 04, 2018, 06:28:38 AM
When posting on the forums, what should be the topic to be up rank?
There's no such thing as "a particular topic that makes you move up the ladder (rank up) by simply participating in its discussions".
- Read the following thread: TMAN'S guide to getting merit.
4505  Other / Off-topic / Re: An anti-spam thought on: November 03, 2018, 07:57:43 PM
spam attacks
I think you meant "scam" (they're two different things). The main issue is making all of them do the background checks (especially since a significant amount of "new/rookie managers" are quite greedy [unfortunately]).
4506  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Parkingcrypto - Possible SCAM - Plagiarized whitepaper on: November 03, 2018, 04:56:14 PM
Their "Features section" is also plagiarized (for the most part).

A whitepaper is an important document of an ICO and it should be taken seriously and definitely shouldn't be plagiarized at all.
Exactly...

I changed the topic to "possible scam" until they came our with team members since it appears to be "under construction"on their website.
You're being too generous with that move (IMHO):
- If the foundation of a project is fake, the whole project is fake as well.
4507  Other / Meta / Re: Adding a master account field to profiles. on: November 03, 2018, 09:53:53 AM
I use the name "Kuffy" on a variety of forums around the net, and I've just registered the name here as a protective measure. There is so much identity theft, and impersonation around at the moment, that I thought it best to block the use of the name. It is not my intention to use it for posting here.
This:

You can block it. So it will be even more reliable. If it is implied that the account was created only to exclude the possibility of using the name. Smiley

There doesn't seem to be an easy way to link it to Jet Cash in the profile unless I start to use it.
There is...

Best combination (for your case) is:

a) Sign a message from an address that previously been used on your main account.
b) Update your "Website title and URL fields" to your main account (instead of using it for listing your "kuffy" website).
c) Set you "secret Q&A" (from "Account Related Settings").
d) Recover your account using "SECRET QUESTION" option > Automatically "locks" your account.
4508  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [NEW SOCIAL NETWORK] - Socialcrypt.NET on: November 01, 2018, 02:34:18 PM
I didn't like the automated joining and following of "Socialcrypt.NET" group and project (especially since leaving a group and un-following a project leads to deduction in rewards) upon registering.

You might want to work on its speed as well (in general)...
4509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 01, 2018, 11:11:57 AM
I think we’re going to see City, Liverpool & Chelsea pull away from the 4th placed team (whoever that may be).
I wouldn't be so sure about "Chelsea" (they're good going forward but shaky in defense/ce).
- They're somehow similar to Arsenal (despite the fact that Chelsea conceded less goals [so far]).

what about ARSENAL-LIVERPOOL this weekend.......... Grin
First half
ARSENAL (0) - (1) LIVERPOOL
Second half
ARSENAL (3) - (2) LIVERPOOL

Bournemouth - Man Utd is also an interesting one:

First half
Bournemouth (1) - (0) Man Utd
Second half
Bournemouth (2) - (2) Man Utd
4510  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: >>> SteadyTurtle.com - Bitcoin Web Hosting - Shared Hosting & VPS Servers on: October 31, 2018, 05:31:48 PM
I strongly believe there's a bug on "REGISTER DOMAIN" page:

- After "reading this thread", I went to the site and tried to check the prices for popular keywords and found the following bug:
  • I randomly chose an extension (.in) for "bitcoin" keyword and to my surprise, it shows "bitcoin.org" as an alternative option (it even allowed me to register it [didn't try doing it though] but searching for "bitcoin.org" directly, results with "already taken" message.
  • Archived video.
  • I highlighted other live/functioning websites that were given as alternative options.
4511  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos New .forum tld Is Becoming Available on: October 31, 2018, 03:59:01 PM
That's what's done by the big ones like Google, Facebook, Apple, et al.
Those brands are on a different field/category & level + they have other reasons for purchasing domains...

So i think theymos should buy the name related so that future should be safe.
Given the nature of this forum [1], I don't think theymos will reserve/purchase those domains.

On a side note, there are other options when dealing with similar cases (based on this blog):
  • UDNDRP
  • ACPA
4512  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] FLX One - innovative hardware wallet and key on: October 31, 2018, 11:26:17 AM
The revolutionary hardware FLX Key is used to backup and restore the wallet.
~Snipped~
Unlike other competitors, you don't need to hand-record a list of cumbersome phases.
What happens if I lose my FLX Key?
You can continue to use your FLX One. However, we recommend you to transfer all of your cryptocurrencies to a new FLX One so you have a restore path.

Simply place an order for a new FLX one, and setup it as "New Setup". Then, transfer all of your cryptocurrency to the new FLX One.

Can I use two FLX Keys to backup my FLX One?
No. During the initial setup, the private key was created and backed up to the FLX Key. After that, the private key is in "lock-down" mode, and will only be available to the firmware during transaction signing.
The "FLX key" is a nice touch but at the same time a "costly feature (it's quite easy/common to lose a key)".
4513  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Hub South Africa - New Crypto Store Launched on: October 31, 2018, 09:17:32 AM
To celebrate our launch all our T-shirt designs are 50% off!

Shop link: http://bitcoinhub.co.za/shop
Correction:
- From the "product page", it's "40% off (R249 R149)" but after "adding it to the cart" it becomes "R199 (excluding shipping), that equates to 20% off [only]".
  • If you go to the product page "after doing the above steps", you'll see prices are "now changed to R199" (if you remove the item from the cart and go back, price [on the product page] reverts to R149).
4514  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [EXCHANGE] Swiftex Cryptocurrency Exchange - www.swiftex.co on: October 30, 2018, 04:48:43 PM
Swiftex is a new exchange designed to help support lower tier currencies and help them get onto markets to further their development.
You might want to revise the following highlighted parts, or else you'll end up with a lot of fake trades:

Cryptocurrency Owners/Developers' Obligations
~Snipped~
2) To ensure and maintain 3 BTC of minimal monthly trading volume.
3) SWIFTEX reserves the right to remove any cryptocurrency or market from its Exchange for any of the following reasons:
  • Violation of the terms of SWIFTEX Listing Policy, including insufficient trading volume on the exchange;

In addition to "Bashilor's" post:

- About and Fees pages are exactly the same.
- You should come up with original content (Listing Policy and Delisting Policy pages) instead of using someone else's template (graviex - Listing Policy and Delisting Policy).

Largest investment group in crypto! The group will tell you when to long and short BTC. For example, they let the group know to short BTC at 7,400 because they were ready to sell and member returns were over 300%! This group is legit, they're out in California and have Dubai and Russian investors running the markets. The next bull run will be in alts and only have limited slots open. t.me/iblockchainglobal

What happened: I think this user use real project but fake website to scam investors.
Great catch. I did a little bit of digging and found the following red flags:

- On the footer area of "unionbankag-invest", only the "Investment" page is from that website, everything else is linked to the original website (unionbankag.com).
- Original website (unionbankag.com) was built on "WordPress" but that's not the case for the other one (unionbankag-invest).
- The fake website has "Suspicious Injects".
- Archived video.

I may have a  negative trust but that is not money or scamming related.
Look again (your recent negative rating falls into that category).

This issue could have been fixed privately.
Based on the following line, I have to disagree with you:

He then said that even if I made the deal with him, he don't have the money to pay me because it not his project so I can't accuse him of scamming.

You should have exhausted all possible manners of contacting me instead of seeking attention here.
He/she did the right thing...

NOTA BENE: I DO NOT HAVE THE SIG CODES YET. SO IT IS NOT AS BAD AS IT LOOKS LIKE.
Just because you don't have them (signatures) "yet", it doesn't mean you can ignore the whole situation ("jacee" invested his/her time for creating those signatures and up to this point, you've done nothing to ensure those efforts aren't wasted).

jacee, you might want to add a visual evidence as well (even if it's in Tagalog)...
4520  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [CoinPayments.net] ShapeShift Notice on: October 28, 2018, 10:33:17 AM
Most likely to happen on where you would really lose up that option if you don't comply such KYC but it would really be just temporary I guess.
I'm fine with temporarily being limited from using that option but I'm afraid, this might be a permanent one.

Considering that you aren't looking for alternative services, is it an option to have a trusted forum member with a verified account do the conversions for you?
Unfortunately, it's not (it's against "TOS" of both CoinPayments and ShapShift).
