4521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could I use the Blockchain for Recording my Companies Accounts? on: February 20, 2015, 10:25:44 AM
Could I record every expense and sale my company has on the blockchain along with notes, VAT numbers, dates etc so that my accountant could check it at some point in the future?

Yes you can "save" some data in a transaction and if you want you can check that data in the future (with the op_return function but only 40 byte , in the future 80 byte).
4522  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 BTC stolen [DON'T KEEP YOUR MONEY ON AN EXCHANGE] on: February 20, 2015, 10:22:36 AM
If they refund the stolen bitcoins somehow I will continue using Bter, if not I'm out. Forever.

"If they will reopen their cryptocurrency exchange, will you use it again or not ?"

Yes i Will, if not, I quite cause i have lost time and money at MtGox, at CryptoRush, at Black Arrow miners... and then at Bter.
My moral is finally down.

Go go Bter.com Smiley

If they refund the stolen bitcoins somehow I will continue using Bter, if not I'm out. Forever.

we are the same at this topic.

I'm not sure if I would ever go back. Depends on how they handle the situation.
Part of the trust is gone.

Thanks for your opinions, I will not re-use bter as cryptocurrency exchange; why ? Because this is the second "hack" and they aren't "professional and secure" this is my personal opinion.
4523  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Bitget.in a new ponzi website to multiply bit coins on: February 20, 2015, 10:19:03 AM
u cant even spell bitcoin and u ask people to send money to u ..

This is how a ponzi scheme works , the OP doesn't know the english language and he promotes a ponzi. This is very insane .
4524  Economy / Lending / Re: .1 loan request on: February 20, 2015, 10:16:30 AM
He wasted his nice account for only $20.

Yes it is very strange, maybe he will repay the loan. It is insane "lose" a forum account for a loan of 0.10 btc (with 30% of interest). I will remove the negative feedback once he will repay the loan.
4525  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin bank? on: February 20, 2015, 10:00:32 AM
why you need a bank of bitcoin when you can control your money yourself?

because you don't always want to "control your money yourself".

You may want to have some services easily available.

Maybe if that "bank" will use a multiSig wallet, it would be possible to create a sort of bank but only with a multiSig function. However I don't think that now a bank is a primary important  we need other service (like pay in fiat -> btc , pay the bills with bitcoin directly, etc...)
4526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using the blockchain to post permanent documents. A contest! on: February 19, 2015, 10:25:47 PM
...
Comments on my doc are welcome here on this thread.  I just started it, it is meant for BEGINNERS (like me).

I already do understand that putting up a link to a document that can later change is not worth much.

(this post edited)

You should put a link of a pastebin as op_return, the hash of a file works only if that file will be not modified (again).
4527  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 BTC stolen [DON'T KEEP YOUR MONEY ON AN EXCHANGE] on: February 19, 2015, 08:16:59 PM
A simple question :

If they will reopen their cryptocurrency exchange, will you use it again or not ? Please (if you want) reply with also the motivation, thanks.

I don't have any update but there are some rumors (they will sell their exchange but I'm not sure).
4528  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cashing out BTC to paypal? on: February 19, 2015, 08:04:55 PM

4529  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM | No.1 for Cryptocurrency Gambling | Provably Fair | 1 BTC BONUS on: February 19, 2015, 06:30:33 PM
It's your opinion and as such i respect it. But the stock market analogy is pretty childish if you ask me, you got my point i think.

In any event, FJ went as far as calling him a criminal, a fraudster... even BEFORE the "investigation" was "performed". Very casino, much serious. Wow.

What do you do if you run a table and suspect fraud / faulty equipement? You close it, not to mention going as far as keeping the deposits flowing. First rule of a casino owner. No exceptions, no excuses.

The situation revealed quite a bit imho. Lack of management skills, at the very least. But then again it's your money, your rules.

Peace.

Anyone can do whatever wants, if someone want to play on fortuneJack ... he is free. If someone don't want, it is his choice.

4531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Govt Auction... Round 3 on: February 19, 2015, 02:23:36 PM
wow, Whales need to buy the 50K as low as possible and then they will let it rise

If the bitcoin ended up in the open market, it will cause the price to go down. The whales will need to buy a lot of the coins in order to manipulate that. But most likely if it is bought by btc holders who will continue to hoard, that would be the best.

Sometimes this external auction "drives up" the bitcoin price in the various exchange a little bit (it is strange, but it is so), but we don't know who will win them (maybe the winner will not dump 50k bitcoins in one day).
4532  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.2 btc loan on: February 19, 2015, 01:41:59 PM
I can give you my account if its enough, or my yacoin forum's admin account.  I dont have any altcoin

Then  write in your first post that you are giving a collateral for the loan, it will help you.

Can you provide a valid collateral ? It will be difficult for you to receive a loan without a valid collateral.
4534  Other / Meta / Re: My trust has been hacked by 3 scammers on: February 19, 2015, 12:53:14 PM
Look here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=441460

3 scammers have hacked the trust system and given themselves fake "Trusted feedback" so they can spam me with negative trust.

Mods please ban Quickseller, CanaryInTheMine and IronMarvel. They are hackers.

I want to reply to this post with this meme :

You deserve those trust ratings, this is obvious and they aren't hackers (WTF are you doing here ?).
4535  Other / Meta / Re: My trust :( im not alt Candystripes accounts! on: February 19, 2015, 12:49:11 PM
If someone is helping a scammer he is itself a scammer, this is obvious or am I wrong? I would like to read a reply from ikydesu, thanks.
4536  Economy / Speculation / Re: ETA for the ETF? (and Gemini Exchange speculation) on: February 19, 2015, 11:31:45 AM
ETF is so hyped right now like it's the only hope btc has to go up... if that doesn't work I don't even want to imagine what could happen.

Maybe the bitcoin will dead //sarcasm,

However the another way could be the "halving", I think after the next block reward halving the price will go up (at least a little bit). I don't see another way to the "rise" of the bitcoin price, this time China can't help.
I see it more as a war of news that has the most influence on the BTC price, in the last year or so. On hand you have negative news: exchange hacked, stolen coins, coins coming from illegal businesses, etc. On the positive side you have: ETF story, halving, Chinese investors, etc. Pretty much all the same arguments since quite long time. Rinse and repeat.

Yes the 2015 hasn't begun in a "good way", too much "hack" and too much lies. I don't know if the ETF will rise the bitcoin price but I'm still believing in this technology (or better killer app) and its name is bitcoin.
4537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I easily put readable quotes into the blockchain on: February 19, 2015, 11:24:26 AM
As you know the size of OP_return of a transaction is only 40 byte (in the future will be "rise" to 80 byte) so you can't put as much word, but you can put an hash of a file that you own (for prove that idea/file is yours).
4538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Transaction fees need to be $10+ in order for Bitcoin to survive" on: February 19, 2015, 10:00:05 AM
One of the benefits of BTC is the low TX fees, a fee of $10 per TX would almost be worse than CC fees lol

I am living in Asia. My bank charges me $0.05 whenever I transfer money to someone else's account. A TX fee of $10 is almost 200 times that amount. No one will be using BTC if something like that happens.

You are lucky, I know there are some banks charge 4-5 dollars for a simple bank transfer. However no one will continue to use bitcoin if the fee will be 10$ per transaction, it would be difficult to accept.
4539  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 BTC stolen [DON'T KEEP YOUR MONEY ON AN EXCHANGE] on: February 19, 2015, 09:47:53 AM
this sucks, I really liked bter aswell, hopefully they release a report so we can lookout for their fuck up in the future Smiley

We are still waiting a "full" report of what is happened that day. I hope they will post it as soon as possible.
4540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Would Play Role in Kim Dotcom's 'Uncensorable' Internet on: February 18, 2015, 11:53:44 PM
He is a freaking genius, I want to see what he will do but it is obvious he also wants make some profit. Now all we know the decentralization is the future, thanks to blockchain.
