This is the best thread I've read all day.

Try this one : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=444101.0

It is quite entertaining too
4522  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you recommend some official escrow services? on: February 03, 2014, 10:26:27 PM
Everyone BE VERY CAREFUL OF USING AN EXCROW PERSON ON THIS FORUM.

There is an EXTREMELY well know escrow provider who just disappeared recently. If you DO enlist a bitcointalk user to hold your escrow, be SURE there is a mechanism to get paid if that person disappears.

I've seen people learn this the hard way. Single person escrow means VERY LITTLE.

BTW, in general just be very careful on this site. People WILL steal from you. Even those with a LOT of history and trust.

I'll say it again - don't trust ANY single individual on this site. Anyone can become a scammer at any time - it happens far more than you think.

i can confirm, i am escrow

LOL!!! Yeah, "i am escrow" too!

In french escrow (wrote escroc) means crook http://dictionary.reverso.net/french-english/escroc

What is the username of the well know escrow provide who disappeared?
4523  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.2 btc , payout of 0.25 in 24 hours. on: February 03, 2014, 10:23:36 PM
Oh man, gotta love those beggar stories....

Have lots of money, gold and assets - but (how unfortunate) I can't afford 0.2BTC which I need a loan for to gamble rigged dice games... I'll win, guaranteed...

And seriously, anyone claiming having that "100% foolproof System that never loses in the end" is a plain liar or highly delusional (addicted gambler, not much unlike a drug addict).
In any way, not someone I would bet a single Satoshi on.

It is pretty interesting to read but when you really think about it maybe it should be sad; I think that he wants to believe he has a system to win at dice, when you read some of his posts you almost wonder if he doesn't really believe he does

Anyway, I don't judge; @lookism stay optimistic, maybe you should stop playing casino, stop thinking about it and use your energy to build a business or learn a job

4525  Economy / Speculation / Re: Safe Currency on: February 03, 2014, 08:41:08 PM
More important things are happening closer to home.

Take a look at the Dow and the Nasdaq. The debt limit is going to be reached again this month. Yellen has just been sworn in at the Fed and she has no choice; she can either watch asset prices collapse, or she can start reversing and increasing QE.

Interesting times.

They talk about tapering but they won't really taper, they are still buying 75B/month + interests reinvested + interest rates at zero and she believes in easy money so she will increases the monetary supply and the dollar will finish by collapsing

When the dollar will collapse, every real asset will seem pretty sweet compared to having dollars, that should particularly include Bitcoin
4526  Economy / Speculation / Re: Safe Currency on: February 03, 2014, 05:51:38 PM
Don't forget Turkey, Thailand, Argentina, South Africa, Russia, China.................

When the Dollar will crash along with other big fiat currencies, having bitcoins will seem sweet, its price in fiat money will skyrock and its price in other valuables good also
4527  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: MakeBTC.org Pyramid Scheme - VERIFIED SCAM on: February 03, 2014, 05:50:25 PM
makeBTC is leading the add auction with a 1.55 bid,  he sent 1.25 to Thymos which allows him to bid until 2.5

Is he paying for the ads with your money?  Cheesy

I guess that is why I am very interested by this add campaign  Cheesy
4528  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: MakeBTC.org Pyramid Scheme - VERIFIED SCAM on: February 03, 2014, 04:08:55 PM
We are going to see a lot of signing up & deposits starting Friday when makeBTC will start being advertised here so it should at least be entertaining&fun to watch, I deposited 0.2 and cashed out 0.02 so far so I have a long way to go  Smiley

Was he successful in winning the advert auction?

It is looking good, we will know for sure by Wednesday, you can follow the advert auction here :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=434288.msg4788025#msg4788025

@beetje2007 I would never tell you to say nothing because it would scare new depositors off, you have every right to tell your problem; to be honest I don't want to advertise the website because I know people could end up loosing money without knowing what they were doing but I couldn't help myself&deposited twice, I would even deposit again if I was letting myself be more crazy  Tongue

4530  Local / Altcoins (Français) / Re: Les asics pour Scrypt arrivent, la mort du GPU ? on: February 02, 2014, 10:46:14 PM
salut a tous

That John John K guy is good but takes REALLY LONG TO PROCESS ESCROWS....

John K regularly goes MIA apparently so I'd advise against using him.

What does MIA means?

Beeing an escrow must be a pretty nice job! You help people and get some fees without much risks

Apparently : "2nd         28         0         0         266         19.90         escrow.ms         Bitcoin         N/A         Free "

seems like a good choice : second in the classement made by squall1066 and free

Missing in Action.

Yes I would figure it is better to choose someone that takes a fee but is very active; I would advise to be careful to understand the service you are getting; using an escrow could mean the seller or the buyer is well protected to the detriment of the other concern; trade safely Wink

4533  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ive Been using faucets for weeks and im yet to receive a single Satoshi...Why? on: February 02, 2014, 09:58:43 PM
you have nice threads here on forum. if you let other to use you signature space you can earn 0.01 -0.02 btc per month. all you need is to post to this forum.

Some people get a hell of a lot more than that. You can get up to 0.8BTC from Primedice.

You would need to post 4000 constructive posts per month, you would need to be a moderator, sellor, escrow service, ect. and spend 12h a day posting

I would agree that you can probably get a few cBTC a month, probably a lot of persons have but if you post solely to get some money you are loosing your time that would be better spend building a service, an education or skills amha; post for fun, and get a few coins along the way
4534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many bitcoins do you have (poll)? on: February 02, 2014, 08:32:03 PM
What is always interesting is stories of early adopters and how much they got to keep of their bitcoins, it is also possible that we are still all quite early adopters

I found one here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=388169.0

4536  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ive Been using faucets for weeks and im yet to receive a single Satoshi...Why? on: February 02, 2014, 07:47:51 PM
Can anyone help with this? Im new to BTC and after talking about it with a guy at work i decided to give it a go. I won't put any real money into it until i see for myself if its worth my time. He told me about the faucets and also about how they pay out peanuts for youre time but i thought i would start there and see what happens. I've been using Land of Bitcoin Faucets and extras for 3+ weeks. Every day i do around 20 faucets. (I know this isnt alot but im still sceptical about BTC) So far the biggest single payout i received was 1,750 Satoshi which i was amazed at....now im just Pi**ed off immensely. I only have one wallet and one ID on my laptop. My Bitcoin wallet has been catching up and on Thursday it finally fully caught up....and my wallet is still empty.

Why?

Usually you have to wait for a certain threshold to cash out and most often you have to request the cash out

If I may : You can also rent your Signature like it was advised to you before  (There is a list of websites that rent the signature here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=333916.0), you could also work for bitcoins (google it),  book a hotel with pointshound (i dt have any relation to this website), sell something for bitcoins

If you want to go the faucet route, the free lottery that was adviced to you is pretty good for a faucet : http://freebitco.in/?r=163799 (referral link) or freebitco.in (non referral link)

I think that jmalec may very well me a player like us, but who knows

opnoskatt, I think that maybe makeBTC thought your cashing out were suspicious and froze them before he was sure everything was correct.

I didn't check the logs carefully but I am guessing the missing cash outs are a few days old at most so it is still possible that makeBTC will make you whole, let's hope you changing the title of this thread didn't annoy him too much  Tongue

4538  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: February 02, 2014, 04:46:45 PM
Will CEX.io/Ghash put Litecoin ( LTC ) in, please do, add Litecoin into merged mining !
Or, other AltCoin. Yes, i am aware of the diff. protocol but with drozend of people gaining interest on CEX.io, it would be Nice if there was more profit to gain.

Litecoin in not possible to merge mining with btc ASIC hardware used by all the on-line mining company is NOT compatible with scrypt is specifically designd to use only SHA256 (btc algorythm) and is not possible to convert to scrypt mining thats why only old GPU mining farm can do LTC mining.

Some ASIC are arriving for scrypt mining so they could do both SHA256 mining and scrypt mining now; I hope they will offer scrypt mining soon, I would get in if the price is right

They could also buy some GPU's to mine alt coins but I guess it isn't very convenient to run GPU's as a company because it probably uses a lot of manpower
4539  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: MakeBTC.org Pyramid Scheme on: February 02, 2014, 04:42:29 PM
The leaders statistics may not be accurate, on my cabinet page it is written I deposited 0.1BTC when I actually deposited 0.2
Maybe they will send it to you after, last bank wasn't long ago
Did you really only received 1.1BTC? I will keep everyone updated on whether I received my 0.02BTC withdraw, is there anyone else that wasn't paid?

Yeah, the ripped me off for ~1.05 BTC.  I've sold out now and made a small profit overall, but I'm definitely done with this site.

Me too Opnoskatt, he ripped me off for about 4 BTC. And if he was really a smart guy he should stay longer honest so he could make more dirty money. I'm also definitely done with this site. Again, I hope nobody will deposit on his site, you lose!!! I also sent him several emails but no reaction. Says enough I think

Did you check your withdrawal address in cabinet? It seems stupid but it disappeared once on my cabinet

Try to private message makeBTC on Bitcointalk, he responded to me fine when I did
4540  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [Promo] Bitcointalk Forum Accounts for Sale - Not Hacked on: February 02, 2014, 03:27:51 PM
2 Days in the promo and it will go back to its original price.

I have a question for you.

Did anybody buy this "legit" accounts?

Of course there is. I've sold more than 30 accounts months ago. During the time when thymos disabled the registration. And right now someone is interested to buy all my accounts. This completely legit accounts. I've hired posters to do the posting to raise its status.

That is still a bit weird, I can understand that someone would want mutiple old accounts to create some activity on a thread but I think that some people could also use these accounts to hack, do you check on what the buyers do with the accounts?

I did check, most of it are interested in signature offers. Others just want to use it on as their personal accounts.

Ok, I guess some people could be interested by an ''old" account

You say 0.02 is a promotion price but what is the normal price? I can't find it anywhere
