@sellcoins,
There is nothing wrong in copy pasting that post here as long as you add a link to the source.

0,08$ isn't a small fee in fact (depending on the transaction size): it's ~7 sat/byte for a transaction with 1 input and 2 outputs which is more than enough to have it confirmed within few minutes.

4582  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum on: April 27, 2020, 10:25:55 PM
As other members pointed out, there is no restriction.
Technically speaking, bitcoins will not be sent to your Electrum wallet. All transactions sent to you are stored in the bitcoin blockchain (a public ledger).

A wallet is simply a software that interacts with the blockchain using your public and private keys.
4583  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fundraising threads on behalf of COVID-19. Don't trust, verify. on: April 27, 2020, 09:24:51 PM
I created a fundraising topic in my local board too and, honestly, it was a tough decision.

I hesitated a lot before starting the topic because I couldn't figute out how to prove that collected funds were sent to those who needed it.
Finally, I decided to do it and thankfully many trusted members from our local board supported the initiative.

On the fundraising thread, I stated that am open to all suggestions and any one who donate/willing to donate can ask for any kind of proof (images, videos... but will hide faces)

However, an uknown person who creates a throwaway account and start asking for donations shouldn't be trusted.

3.      Stay away from casinos who requires KYC documents.

Some casinos asks for KYC because they have to comply with legislations of the country from where they got their license. Better avoid them if you value your privacy. But doesn't mean they are going to scam you.

Quote
5.       Always enable 2 factor authentication.

It may secure your account but won't prevent the casino from scamming you.

I would recommend to stay away from all online Casinos, the houese (owner of the Casino) always wins.

Exchanges always win, mixers always win... Does this mean we should not use them!

I'd add something: if you've been scammed and Game-Protect contacts you, don't give them any money. You'd be on a double-loss! Smiley
If you still get scammed, do not panic, gather all information and send it to game-protect. He will save the world and give your money back while scammers will be in prison forever. (I joke of course).

game-protect's account has been banned.
4585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your biggest bet, loss and win on: April 27, 2020, 06:15:50 PM
I don't really remember making any big win, at least none with crypto casinos. I prefer to play safe by placing high bets on low odds.
However I remember losing a lot of money when I used to test some stupid betting strategies thinking that it's possible to bit the house.
My pride prevents me from saying how much I lost  Cheesy
4586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen when the last Bitcoin gets mined? on: April 27, 2020, 04:29:26 PM
I disagree with those who say that transactions fees will be enough to incentivize miners to keep mining.

Even if 1 bitcoin will be worth millions of dollars, users will always pay cents for transactions fees and because the number of transactions that can be contained in a block is limited, fees will not be enough to cover miners expenses.
4587  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin mixers on: April 26, 2020, 11:50:02 PM
I use mixers all the time and I am not involved in any kind of illegal activities.
I trade bitcoins with a small group of persons and don't want anyone of them to know from whom I bought or to whom I sold. Mixers help with breaking the connection between sellers and buyers... as you can see, nothing illegal here  Smiley
4588  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: My F****** Story With KRYPTONO Exchange on: April 26, 2020, 10:37:20 PM
Sorry for your loss @Alpacino7 but you had to be more cautious. Before sending your coins to an unpopular exchange, you have to do your own research and read other users reviews. There are many scam accusation threads against them already.

If they keep the price low it's a big red flag because they have to be making money somehow. They cannot do it by selling this low so this has to be a way of attracting victims.
they are not selling anything. The moment you make a deposit they will lock your account or come up with a silly excuse to make you unable to withdraw your money.
4589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most gamblers can never hold onto big bag? on: April 26, 2020, 08:40:41 PM
but yesterday, he lost everything once again.

if I had a Satoshi for every time I heard this, I'd be running my own casino  Cheesy

Quote
How come he lost everything one day? Do most of the gamblers lose money in such way?
Yes they do. Not just because of greed but most gamblers, when they start losing, they tend to double their bets unconsciously hoping to recover their losses. They do not realize that all it takes is few consecutive losses before they lose everything.

For example, if your friends initial bet amount was 100$ and he decided to double his bet every time he loses. 6 losses in a row would be enough to drain his entire balance (24 eth).
4590  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: حوالات بينانس الداخلية on: April 26, 2020, 02:15:38 AM

Cheesy

A quick search on "how to earn bitcoin" gave me numerous results:

How can i earn bitcoin here in bitcointalk?
100 Ways To Earn Bitcoin ★★★★★
Best way to earn Bitcoin
How to Earn Bitcoin in 2020
Is there any real way to earn bitcoin without investment?
how to earn Bitcoin without investing??
Best way to earn Bitcoin
What do you think? Which is the best way to earn Bitcoin?
...

I wouldn't advise you to trade or gamble with that money as it can be too risky for you, however, you can invest it in renting active referrals on some PTC websites. Don't expect high revenue though.

@arisatox, you are right it sounds a bit confusing.
Deposit addresses are permanent and you don't have to generate a new one every 24 hours anymore.

They announced it here last December so I suppose they just forgot to update their FAQ page (it happens  Smiley ):

- Newly generated deposit addresses are now static
4593  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: حوالات بينانس الداخلية on: April 25, 2020, 12:09:20 AM

How to Make Internal Transfer within Binance

4596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is 51% attack a crime? on: April 21, 2020, 10:37:42 PM
A 51% attack may cause damage to the network but the attackers will not be able to get coins out of thin air.
It's similar to a denial of service attack. It can disrupt normal activity of the network but will not be beneficial for the attackers.
The cost of a 51% is way higher than the finanicial benifit for attackers. It will be a waste of resources that could be more profitable in mining with integrity.

It's hard to tell whether such an attack is legal or not since bitcoin is a decentralised system and not yet regulated in many countries.
4597  Economy / Services / Re: Betnomi review campaign(0 open spots)(NO NEWBIES) on: April 21, 2020, 09:43:44 PM
@greekcomunity,
All rating have been changed to neutral for those who submitted their review late and I think it's a fair decision.
The red feedback was to urge them to complete the task they were paid for.
My only reproach here is that there were no clear or fixed deadline for reviews submission.
4598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH decentralized? on: April 21, 2020, 09:15:31 PM
I have to agree with bitgolden here. Vitalik succeded to convince the majority to switch to Ethereum and abandon ETC but it doesn't he has an eltimate control over the network. I believe eth community is matture enough and will not follow him if he makes with a bad decision.
What if Roger Ver succeeded to convince the community to switch to BCH? Would we accuse bitcoin of being centralised!?
4599  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Make all your crypto wallets unify and memorable on: April 21, 2020, 08:35:29 PM
So it is basically an address shortener which I am kind of fimiliar with.
However I am a bit concerned about anonymity and security risks:
 - how to be sure that you/hacker will not modify registered addresses and tamper them (not saying you will but what if hackers get access to your databases?)
 - are you logging your visitors/users IPs? If no, are there any guarantees?
