461  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Problem configuring Block eruptor cube on: March 09, 2014, 09:24:49 PM
As long as your computer and the cube are on the same subnet they should be able to talk to each other without a router interfering.  If your ethernet card is old or just crappy you might need to plug both into a switch / hub instead.  With them directly connected and your computer IP set as 192.168.1.13 you should be able to point your browser to 192.168.1.254:8000 (or whatever is printed on the cube).  You might need to change your gateway to 192.168.1.254, but I'm not sure of that.

If that address doesn't work then it's possible the previous owner changed the cube's IP address.  A common IP is 192.168.1.200:8000, so try that.  Is there some sort of factory reset on the cube at all?  If not, then you can use nmap on windows http://nmap.org/zenmap/ to find its IP.

If your router supports a separate VLAN then you can setup a second subnet that way.
462  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Identity confirmation on: March 09, 2014, 06:24:59 PM
Everyone's hit everything, so I'll just add that the transaction ID is public knowledge, so you can't really use that as any kind of proof.
463  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Problem configuring Block eruptor cube on: March 09, 2014, 06:20:53 PM
Plug your computer's ethernet directly into the cube.

I also don't understand why you can't change your router's IP.  You can always try resetting it, as you might not know the administrator password.  It'll go back to whatever's written on the router.
464  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Secure wallet on: March 09, 2014, 06:14:44 PM
If you choose to store it online (a terrible idea) then at least have 2-factor enabled on your google account.

I guess we should ask how many BTC are you storing?  If you can't afford to buy a printer or a two pack of USB drives from Costco for $20 then it's probably only dust.  In which case it doesn't really matter.  If you're storing thousands of dollars in BTC and are worried about saving $100 then you're all messed up.
465  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitSimple. A simpler way to buy and sell bitcoins. on: March 08, 2014, 05:05:32 PM
Can you explain a little of how the exchange works?  If I want to buy 1 BTC do I buy it from your coins or do you match me up with someone who simultaneously wants to sell 1 BTC?  Does the seller send directly from their wallet to my wallet, or does it go through your mixed coin wallet?
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: new miner -have only $650 and two old computers. suggestion needed on: March 08, 2014, 04:48:42 PM
Buy one USB miner for like $30 and buy 1 BTC with the rest.
467  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 22 Messages From Creationists To People Who Believe In Evolution on: March 06, 2014, 04:00:11 AM

Science, like any academic discipline, is a theory about knowledge acquisition.

Creationism is a theory about the origin of the Universe and its contents.

Fairy tales aren't theories.
468  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Block solving times 2-3 hours?? Most the time it's less than a hour. on: March 05, 2014, 02:52:49 PM
Why can't I work on the next block until I solve the current block?

Each block contains a link to the previous block.
469  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 22 Messages From Creationists To People Who Believe In Evolution on: March 05, 2014, 04:57:14 AM
Sorry.  Someone asked about why God would create us with cancer, sickness etc.  This is my only explanation.  Do you have a better one?  It seems that those that believe in evolution just think this crappy world is all we have though.  Seems a bit hopeless to me.

Why is your go to explanation for everything you like god did it and everything you hate satan did it?  Don't you see that's just silly?

Science is based on facts, not what you wish to be true.  Science doesn't discard facts because they make the world "Seem a bit hopeless".  Can you imagine where we'd be if they did?
470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: blockchain Transaction not found on: March 04, 2014, 09:52:14 PM
What if the user sends a bet, it's a loser, and so they send another mutated bet, giving them another chance to win with the same coins.
471  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for a simple ewallet, transactions from hot, more difficult than expected on: March 04, 2014, 09:49:17 PM
We've been trying to tell you, but you won't listen.  It doesn't exist.  Just use any mixer and divy your coins up into separate addresses to send from.
472  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Using 2nd computer/tablet to produce paper wallet. on: March 04, 2014, 03:03:05 PM
Maybe you'd be better off with the piper paper wallet printer.
473  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question about armory wallet on: March 04, 2014, 03:01:29 PM
The paper backup is all you need.  To keep armory installed you should use a persistent image or install to a flash drive.
474  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: making a wallet desktop client using blockchain.info API's on: March 04, 2014, 03:11:24 AM
You can use electrum's APIs as a backup.  Or you could just use electrum.

Math requires information.  Watch the video.  It discusses math quite a bit as well as "language" and really is compelling.   I can't do it justice.  My brain does not have enough "information" in it. Wink  I am humbly aware of my limitations but I feel fairly confident that most of you on this board will be able to follow it fine.

You admit that you don't understand this video, yet you believe it?  It must be terrifying going through life without any critical thinking skills.  How can you be content that you can't reason whether a fairy tail is true or whether science is true?  Why don't you try to learn anything?  I just don't get it.  Do you think Miller Light tastes great and is less filling?  Have you bought a timeshare?  How do you function in life without being able to process information correctly?
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nakamoto, Satoshi, New Info, hopes it clears up some stuff. on: March 04, 2014, 01:03:52 AM
Thanks for clearing that up, I left you a large tip.
477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: KnC Wallet on: March 03, 2014, 06:10:17 PM
What does this mean? How can the KnC miners be on a fork?

It's a wallet.  Source code has been forked.  Look at the forum you're in.
478  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: help with API on: March 03, 2014, 05:04:29 PM
You can use bitcoind sendtoaddress.
479  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin lost after export/import keys on: March 03, 2014, 04:59:48 PM
Then it is extremely simple, just send all your bitcoin using qt to an address on your multibit wallet (either an imported one or a newly generated one).

But then I have to wait until the bitcoin-qt blockchain is fully downloaded, right?! To avoid that, I wanted to switch the client. ;-)

You might have to wait until it syncs anyway to use listunspent.
480  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for a simple ewallet, transactions from hot, more difficult than expected on: March 03, 2014, 03:07:27 PM
Oh that is simple, there are a lot of services like that.
