461  Economy / Securities / Re: CipherMine LiteCoin IPO Shares Rise 480% in LTC Debut on: July 09, 2013, 05:42:03 AM
can someone explain this company's planned hashing power

the press releases and the news updates on the exchange all talk about how many ASICs this company is going to get, and an untold number of GPUs

people seem to be excited about what this company is going to do with litecoins, but I dont see them doing anything spectacular with litecoins at all, please explain:

1) what technology they plan on putting at litecoin, when will it be delivered and what is the total hashrate?

2) what is the hashrate they will deploy at bitcoin and other altcoins, will these be converted to litecoins?

463  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: July 09, 2013, 02:10:39 AM
yeah this asset transfer shenanigans doesn't exist as detailed.

I sold my AMC-PT at a tiny profit, and just transferred my bitcoins to bitfunder instead. Buying ActiveMining

don't want to wait for btct.co to approve something
464  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does provably fair work? on: July 08, 2013, 11:54:26 AM
The problem is that every site has a different implementation. They do have instructions on how to do it manually, and the bigger sites have third party verification scripts, where you see the source code and what it does, and how it computes.

In my lotto, for example, it is provably fair because:
1. everyone knows what I am going to do.
2. everyone knows the secrets that I will use.
3. no one knows all the secrets until the draw date.

okay, on bitzino's site

regarding the roulette game, how does having the client seed and hash(secret) prove that it is a provably fair game?

how does this completely rule out other software gimmicks?

467  Bitcoin / Legal / public policy: blockchain exemption on: July 06, 2013, 03:20:44 PM
hello, currently laws related to currencies are based on fiat economies and the ways fiat is transferred

these methods of commerce have no one-to-one relationship with how commerce is done in a blockchain based economy, and the way information about transactions is disseminated

perhaps existing legislation could address this by making a distinction between fiat based economies and blockchain based economies.

For instance, eventually almost everyone will have transacted with a convicted criminal with illicit funds in a blockchain address. In a fiat based economy there is no visible link but if there was a direct link you too could be implicated with the criminal in some jurisdictions. With a blockchain, using this logic, everyone could be implicated, blockchain just needs to be exempt from this logic

468  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / if transactions were moved "off-chain", would the mainchain's blocks get the fee on: July 06, 2013, 01:48:30 AM
If transactions were moved "off-chain", would the main blockchain's blocks get the fees included in the blocks?

if so, how.

470  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: July 04, 2013, 01:33:35 PM
oh damn, this was a good trade. I sold most of my AM at 5btc before the dividend. (actually because I was done with AM for the time being, not because I was expecting a selloff)

bought back at 3.63btc after the dividend

my P/L is looking great.
471  Economy / Securities / Re: The Bear Argumemt for ASICMINER on: July 04, 2013, 06:48:07 AM
this selloff though  Cheesy

I'm back in, my new cost basis is 3.18btc
472  Economy / Securities / Re: The Bear Argumemt for ASICMINER on: July 04, 2013, 01:11:21 AM
I sold 2/3rds of my ASICMiner-PT at 5btc and all of my TAT.ASICMiner at .05, didn't even stick around for the dividend.

bought in initially at 1.16 and my cost basis was around 1.38

my estimates were for around this price level, so given new information in the future justifying a higher price or an irrational rally, feel free to laugh at me for selling

but I am content with this trade. given that only a month ago, me calling for ~5btc/share was based on "me not understanding how business and valuation works"
473  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: July 04, 2013, 12:46:09 AM
You are concered about a 'rumour'?  Cheesy This security isn't for you.

AHAHA this puts me in a lol state
474  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: July 04, 2013, 12:32:17 AM
how about AMC get a discount from manufacturer's cost, because the manufacturer's cost for all those die processes will be substantially lower by mid 2014 AND their own selling will reduce their costs as VMC scales
475  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: July 04, 2013, 12:19:54 AM
so, lets talk about eASICs ability to deliver and their finances

then we can talk about your bid wall.
476  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: July 03, 2013, 11:49:16 PM
hedge your bitcoin holdings by selling futures.

796.com has a hong kong based futures exchange, looks waaaay more thought out than icbit over in sweden
477  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: July 03, 2013, 12:13:40 PM
so in summary, if eAsic is successful with the fast hash, then you guys plan to sell and mine with them much like ASICMiner does

in the mean time AMC will be..... mining and issuing dividends with lesser hardware?

1st round of lesser hardware will be 20,000 avalon chips (ordered) used to make Avalon clones.

ah cool, what would the hashrate of that be?

Posted on the 10th June 2013:
Sure, I would be happy to meet with you at our NEW manufacturing site, which is 450 H S Union, Springfield Missouri, 65802.  Just let me know when you are going to be here.  Thanks for pointing out the typo on our site, I will get that fixed.  However, you get a trademark by using it.  It only needs to be registered if you are going to sue someone.  I see you did not mention axs.net which I own and has been registered since 1997 along with name-servers.net.  Our prototype boards are being spun up as we speak, should be here within a week, Avalon sample chips have been shipped to us for these boards.  Anything else?

Sorry Vbs I don't know what you are getting at.
Does this answer it? - We have known Ken owned axs for some time - he declared his 'previous business experience' on his run down but it's the home address I uncovered last night that I don't think has been on here before.

I don't know if my address has been on here before, but I posted my complete address, including my cell phone number with the Avalon Orders on Bitfunder back in March.  However, a scammers got my order number and tried to sell my Avalon's on eBay, so I had to redact the address.  I was trying to be as transparent as I could back in March.

the barriers of legitimacy of completely arbitrary on this site, don't worry
480  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 01, 2013, 12:38:24 PM
10 BTC would put ASICMiner yield at more relatable levels. the market cap on the other hand might not make sense

for their hardware sales, they will need to get their die process to smaller nanometers
