Are bitcoins indestructible? Yes they can be lost but are they indestructible? I think that they are very different to tulip bulbs which can be farmed and can rot away. So I don't think it is a fair analogy to bitcoins to tulip bulbs as this Dutch banker attempts to: http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2013/dec/04/bitcoin-bubble-tulip-dutch-bankerOne would have to question Nout Wellink's motivation here. Does he really believe bitcoin is unsound money or perhaps does he perceive is that his social status is under threat. Is he slandering bitcoin in a vain attempt to preserve his privileged position in society? When bitcoins are lost you can consider them destroyed because there is absolutely no way to restore them. But you don't need that to prove that bitcoins aren't tulips

I don't think that this is in their interest because people will find alternative ways to exchange bitcoins. In person for example. But all the AML/KYC laws will be enforced for sure for bitcoin.

Actually it's old news and i think that it's a reseller that accepts them not china telecom per se.

ppcoin and xpm are decent alt coins that have interesting features over bitcoin but they are not a threat whatsoever. No alt coin is even close to bitcoin in terms of the developers backing them up.

Now my question/ concern is will this growth continue.
Expand your graph to estimate the price 3 months from now and i think that you 'll get your answer

Are we supposed to know from where exactly you come from?

This forum is where satoshi himself used to write before disappear. Also it is the place that every developer / important person of the community writes as well. Also where every scammer tries to scam people

The title is a bit misleading. It was a tesla that was sold not a lambo It was a lomborghini dealership. Same way you can go to a Toyota dealership and buy a honda Yes but hondas and toyotas are in the same league. Tesla's are nowhere near lambo's. Actually is an insult even mentioning lamborghini and that crappy electrical things in the same sentence.

bitcoin is over inflated if you look at the actual conversion and use of BTC in the real world. It does not have the impact of a multi billion currency. Maybe that'll change with governemental acceptance Because it's not only a currency. It's value as currency is only a part of it's actual value. From bitcoin.org: Bitcoin is an innovative payment network and a new kind of money.

by the time you get your machine, their bitcoins double in price, they make profits.
You can only say this for fact in hindsight. at 1000/btc it's hard to imagine it doubling by March. I don't like long term predictions for bitcoin but do you believe that anyone was thinking that bitcoin will go from 200$ to 1200$ in one month? Absolutely noone. Even the more bullish among the bulls couldn't have thought of such a rise.

I still prefer to hold 100 ounces of Gold than 100 Bitcoins at USD 1240....
So why you waste your time here. There are some nice gold forums that they hate pretty much bitcoin anyway.

Bitcoin will not replace fiat or gold or anything else whatsoever although is has the potential to disrupt markets like that of international remmitances.
Bitcoin is worth more than gold already, apparently. :-) Actually no because gold's price is per kg or gram or ounce and you can't weigh bitcoins anyway

Bitcoin has some massive security problem (for a normal person, an nerd can use some superduper unhackable codes and passwords).
It has a learning curve indeed for how to secure your bitcoins but this will change or it must change at least. I think in the future reliable online wallets will make things easier for everyday people. I mean that as someone else said people in the future might use bitcoins without even know it.

I feel its a false story used by the elite to discredit the real Satoshi
What the elite will gain if they discredit satoshi? Satoshi created bitcoin but he doesn't own it or something. iirc reading he owns at least 1.5 million coins The coins Satoshi owns is just one of many ways that the elite can gain. Most everyone using bitcoin assumes that it was created by a regular joe of some kind. I don't mean to describe him as ordinary because he certainly isn't. What I mean is that if the masses were to discover that the creator(s) of bitcoin are elite members of society then the their hope for using this technology to challenge current corrupt financial institutions/practices might be crushed. Are you for real? Who exactly hopes to use the technology to challenge the corrupt financial institutions. People are here for profit and for the amazing features that bitcoin introduced like the decentralization of the system. Even if the wealthiest guy on earth made bitcoin or even if it was a crypto-anarcho-geek that created it, that changes nothing whatsoever.

BTC star crashing last night but this morning gone up again seem that 1k is the for now until christmas and new year then it can go higher maybe 1.5k
The price means nothing. 1k means nothing if someone sells 1000btc price will go down 100$. Stop looking at price alone and start checking market depth. Nah man trade volume is to high, nee much more than 1000 btc to crash the market like that. I didn't said down to 100$ but 100$ lower than it is now. 1000 - 100 = 900$ that is.

This thread made me realise... What if the common American discovers bitcoin (i.e. god fearing hypocrites) Wouldn't they be strongly against it? As it's "un-American"... Fox news will tell them bitcoin is communist or something.
Because, of course, the "common American" just listens to what Fox news says. Please stop with the elitism, there are lots of "common Americans" here already. How bitcoin, fox news and god can be placed in the same context is beyond me...
