462  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Here are some forum features that I discovered after spending some time here. on: October 16, 2023, 01:12:11 PM
I used to just click the reply button, but one day I read all the options and tried to click and see what each one does, so these can help you out and save time.

1. Previous topic / Next topic: To Quickly navigate to the next or previous thread/topic by clicking on it.
2. Notify: Get an email notification when someone responds to that thread. Some threads are so important/interesting that we like to be notified of any new information/reply that is posted.
3. Print: I mainly use this feature to save the discussion or to read it when I am not connected to the internet on my phone while laying down.
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / What do you think about trading feature? on: October 16, 2023, 12:51:10 PM
Gambling sites like Bc.game and Rollbit now include trading feature in their casinos. In this game we need to predict small fluctuations in price over a short period of time.
This is became my favorite game. What do you think of this game?
Do you think this game gives us some advantage/edge to casino? Because most of the time, prices tend to Follow a repeating pattern like Up-Down Up-Down in a range.
464  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: One of ways to identify scams on: October 16, 2023, 10:28:48 AM
Can we say its a scam?? Smiley

It's a scam, Because Pie Also seems scam, There are lot of Pinterest pins rank all over Pinterest which offer free iPhone gift cards, etc. Most of them try to use you for their CPA completion and some try to scam you like you are sharing now. First of all the real businesses try to keep their site up or write their "Site maintenance is going on, come back later" And this site is down.
To detect scam, you can use the methods mentioned in OP, all of them are helpful and I agree.
And to detect scam, anything that I see on the internet that is free and looks like obvious scam, like your free iPhones, free cash, free tokens etc., is 99% likely to be a scam.

  • Live with you parents in parents house it cuts lots of cost and energy, like your mom will cook for everyone which consumes less energy, and saves money on groceries.
  • Cut unnecessary costs like purchasing entertainment-related subscriptions across multiple platforms for no reason, benefit from free trials.
  • Use public transport of you are comfortable it cuts lot of costs of personal vehicle like maintenance costs, fuel costs, you cannot use your time while you drive.
  • Saving a little each month takes discipline. Don't spend it on new gadgets when they come out.

Where is 3153600? I don't see it. Did you take any other screenshots?
I refreshed that page, it is just for an example that, on this page I encountered that error, when I tried to logging typing minutes, I see that we cannot type more than 4 digit their.
467  Other / Meta / I found something interesting on the forum! on: October 16, 2023, 08:19:42 AM

When you check the 'Always stay logged in' option on the login page, you might think it means you will stay logged in for infinity, but it actually keeps you logged in for exactly 3153600 minutes.

How I found this?: I noticed '3153600' display after a failed login attempt due to a captcha failure.

I am not sure if many people here already know about this, but it feels like I have discovered a hidden secret. (I don't found any discussion related to that number)
468  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: The effect of bitcoin halving on bitcoin mining. on: October 15, 2023, 01:23:18 PM
Miners have several problems:
Bitcoin hashrate is constantly growing
New ASICs are appearing on the market
Halvings
Electricity prices rise every year
If you are 100% sure that Bitcoin will rise in price after the halving, then it is better to buy Bitcoin now.

Miners have several problems:

Bitcoin hashrate is constantly growing: mining hardware upgrades and operational efficiencies.
New ASICs are appearing on the market: stay up to date on the latest ASIC launch and be prepared to adjust your equipment.
Halvings: make sure your mining operations are as efficient as possible so you can save money in the long run.
Electricity prices rise every year: explore energy-efficient equipment and areas with lower electricity costs. use renewable energy sources to lower the costs.

Many casinos employ enticing strategies to attract high-rollers and newcomers to the gambling market, offering them perks like free trips or even car giveaways, similar to what freebitco.in does by giving away Lamborghini. Other major companies, Also giveaway interesting stuffs to their players and to attract new customers.
but you are telling that they get commissions from their recruits I don't know about it and never heard from reputable casinos. it seems like a scam way to earn money."

Rohit Sharma got out, but he did really well, hitting 6 fours and 6 sixes for a total of 86 runs. Pakistan 0 sixes
Now, the team only needs 35 more runs to win. (sounds like commentary no?)

Nice job, OP!

This will help high school students learn about blockchain, which is great. But the teacher/trainer should also talk to them about the dangers of investing in Bitcoin because they're just starting their journey to college.
I once tried to convince a store owner to accept Bitcoin as payment, but they ignored me. After that, I didn't try that again.

473  Other / Meta / Re: Difficulty in writing language start from right side on: October 14, 2023, 10:58:12 AM
I don't know about any extension or things like that, but I can share my idea to write urdu with low efforts.

Step 1. Search on google for "urdu notepad online",
Step 2: Write what you want to write from right side, copy it and paste it on the forum like this:

@HONDACD125 آپ میرے طریقے سے اردو لکھ سکتے ہیں۔
474  Other / Meta / Re: Is it right idea to update old guides? on: October 14, 2023, 09:53:43 AM
But How will users know that The updated thread is in the bottom?
Ask OP to update it. I didn't realize until now you picked a topic for which OP is still active. I'd leave it up to the topic creator to update his topics.

I am locking this thread for now,
If someone visits a article and have free time to update that specific article then they can do so, by quoting the OP.
475  Other / Meta / Re: Is it right idea to update old guides? on: October 14, 2023, 09:39:56 AM
I have done this one thread, check here: Bitcoin Transaction Fees - Everything in one (UPDATED)
Now it's plagiarism. You should use quote-tags. Even better, while you're at it, why don't you quote the OP, update the images, and post that in the original topic (with a short explanation saying you've updated the image links)?
But How will users know that The updated thread is in the bottom?
One Way: when we will share some guides or ratimov's encyclopedia to a newbie or other members then we can tell them to check the post in the bottom for updated images.
476  Other / Archival / Bitcoin Transaction Fees - Everything in one (UPDATED) on: October 14, 2023, 09:32:26 AM
Generally, bitcoin transaction fees depends on what's going on on bitcoin network. Whenever bitcoin network become more crowded and clogged up by more transactions waiting to be confirmed, transaction fees for miners will be boosted up. Fees will automatically become higher. However, transaction fees have its cycle, that highly correlated with bitcoin price.

Three best tools

Jochen-hoenicke.de
With this site, you can discover timezone impacts on transaction fees. Details below.

In general, if you are not hurry, please choose the timezones at which fees usually are     low to move your funds.
You can compare the data from this study with the data generated at Johoe's Mempool Statistics page: https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#1,2w. Here's a random 2 week sample I took from last September (click for full size):
The dates along the bottom are at midnight (00:00) UTC. So you can see from this sample, there is a spike in fees on most days between around 10:00 and 18:00 (when Europe and then later America are awake), at which point they start reducing, and hit a low point around 01:00 - 04:00 UTC. This certainly ties in with the data from OP's study.

It's something I've casually noticed, but never given much though to. But considering it now, I wouldn't have expected such a constant and similar drop given that China has more people than Europe and North America combined.

mempool.space has upgrades in their website graphics and more features. In the past, you can not hover mouse on the chart and see fee rate bands like with jochen-hoenicke.de chart.

If you are not hurry, and can wait 1 to 3 days to see your transactions finished, you can apply those tricks below.

Overview of network situation:
Please visit this page to check total unconfirmed transactions:
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/unconfirmed-transactions
To have better overview, you can get the chart of unconfirmed transactions there: https://www.blockchain.com/charts/mempool-count?timespan=60days
From the chart, it is clearly that we have been in good period to move bitcoins.

There is a better site, https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#1,8h (look at the third graph).
Thanks @o_e_l_e_o.
This a poor graph to use to visualize the mempool in the context of working out a fee. A better choice is the third graph on Johoe's site here (https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#1,8h) entitled "Mempool Size in MB".

The reason for this is because the graph you linked to shows the number of unconfirmed transactions, whereas the graph I've linked to shows the size in MB of these unconfirmed transactions. Why is this important? I'll use two examples to illustrate my point. Lets say first of all that the mempool contains 10,000 transactions, but each transaction is less than 250 vbytes in size. This means the mempool is actually relatively empty at only 2.5 MB, and could completely empty in only 3 blocks. Conversely, lets now say the mempool contains only 1,000 transactions, but they are all huge consolidation transaction from various exchanges, and each one is 30,000 vbytes in size. Now the mempool is the fullest it has been in months at over 30 MB.

So using the graph you linked, if we see 1,000 or 10,000 transaction, we don't actually know how full the mempool is because we don't know the size of those transactions, which is what actually matters. Blocks are limited by size, not by number of transactions. A block could contain anywhere from 0 to over 4000 transactions.

Check historical chart of transaction fees:
Please check it there: https://tradeblock.com/bitcoin/historical/1w-f-tfee_blk_avg-01051
1W fee-chart
1D fee-chart
Generally, as of writing, transaction fee has been on its upwards trend, as same as bitcoin. Fortunately, it is likely that fees have decreased dramatically since its latest peak around 4th - 5th June 2019 (you can see it in the 1D fee-chart.)

You can also check the average time to find blocks to get overview of network transactions: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/blocks

If you don't want to join fee wars and unknowingly help miners to increase transaction fees for their benefits, you should use this page to get recommend fees:
https://coinb.in/#fees
Quote
This page will give you a guide on the lowest fee to use to get your transaction included within the next few blocks. It works by predicting the size of a transaction and comparing it to another transaction in a recent block to determine an appropriate fee.
There are some options for you, and you should choose appropriate one for your interests
As of writing, and for few coming blocks, recommended fee is at 2260 satoshis for a transaction of 260 bytes (1 input - 148 bytes, and 3 outputs - 102 bytes)
Fees depend on other factors, like numbers of inputs and outputs (please see the image below for more details).

Other sites
There are other sites to check recommended fee:
https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx
You can see that if you choose fee < 20 Satoshis/vbyte, your transactions might have to wait more than 12 hours to get confirmations. That is a hint for you to consolidate your small bitcoin with cheap fees (that presented in LoyceV's topic).

https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ (the site gives predictions on delay time with specific fees. It means you can know how many blocks and minutes your transactions will be waited to get confirmations at a specific fee.)

There is a site: whatthefee.io, that gives you a detailed table in which you can find pairs of fees and waiting-time to get confirmation. The site dynamically updates their information corresponding to the bitcoin's network status.

In addition, applying guides of LoyceV to move your coins when network provides you great chance to move funds around with low fees.
[MAY 2019] Fees are low, use this opportunity to Consolidate your small inputs!
I added some images to visually describe how to enable manually editing fees feature and how to manually set fees:
Choosing the address you want to send your bitcoin from that, for example, I have an address that have 0.00125 BTC in total; I click on Max button (only do this if you have small amount of bitcoin in that address); then type fee (at 1 satoshi/ byte); I can see total available bitcoin to send after subtracting fees is at 0.0012489 BTC
Now, what if with the same address, same amount of bitcoin, how many bitcoin will be availble to send if I set fee at 100 satoshis/ byte. Only 0.00114 BTC will be left to send. Please look at it:

Bitcoin transaction fees (in sats/kb). Sunday, Saturday are best to move BTC

One of the craziest period of crypto market, with all time highs of bitcoin price and bitcoin transaction fees.
@gentlemand, that $500 million spike looks really weird (around 1/1/18)... Must have been when a lot of people pulled out as their money hasn't returned to this market yet (since we aren't at $20k).
It's more likely it was caused by the very high fees at that time, 800 sat/byte was "normal", resulting in $25 or more in fees for a small transaction, and many thousands of dollars for a transaction with a lot of inputs and outputs.

Bitmex just launched an analytical website, and one of the pages is dedicated to the fees:

I am taking interest in cricket because I want to bet on sports, its low risky and low emotionally challenging to bet on sports then playing casino. I know some basics about cricket just don't have enough experience like knowing players name, records, who is best in batting, bowling, etc.
@cafter, I know you are enthusiastic about making money and I wish you all the best, but a fellow member of this forum, I would not encourage you to gamble your money like that.

Sports betting is not learnt in one day by just knowing the game and how its played. It is a result of years of analysis of games, player's performance, team's outcome when pitched against one another and a bit of luck. You might get lucky but if you want a career in sports betting its way bigger than that. At some point you might not be able to clear your balance off the red.

Those who actually make money from sports betting are often gamblers but more often they are converted gamblers or affiliate marketers making podcasts about sports and showing off their money because they are paid to do so by betting companies. Same happens with Poker at one stage once you make a name for yourself. They dont gamble anymore.

Its your money though, not mine, but that is what I have understood over these years.

thanks for giving your helpful advice, I will gamble just small portion of my money which I will not regret after losing and I don't want to gamble for now Also I don't have a regular income, And I am a student I don't want to ruin my life gambling, I just shared that I will bet on sports by gaining some experiences when I will be married or have some regular income and a good job.
Once again thanks for your advice you are good wisher. I know about responsible gambling will not ruin my life and will give advice to people who are gambling irresponsibly.

Also I was a gully cricket boy who don't even scored a "6", I don't know but I was very bad at  batting but my balling was good, I used to throw spin ball and hit their wicket.
479  Other / Meta / Re: Is it right idea to update old guides? on: October 14, 2023, 09:00:41 AM
The imgur problem has been discussed in several topics, including my dump of 801,550 images. Considering the amount of lost images, I don't think manually replacing a few topics is going to matter much.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there will be any other solution for the missing images either. My guess is that most of it will just disappear into the history of the internet.

I am not trying to replace all imgur images, just some valuable guides which may have more visits then any other articles(Will decide more visits by their views count),
and if multiple articles have same title then I will update the images only for article which is best and more informational from all of them them.
(If two posts are the best and cover all the topics of several different posts then I will only update the images for those two).

But, mostly guide titled threads are read and searched by newbies, how they will know that there is an updated thread in the bottom of the main thread?
And i will post all updated threads in archival board because no one visit there, if no one will look at them how it will looks spam posts? many users try to improve there skills there like designing signatures, writing articles, etc. I want to know when I will upload the updates threads with same title in archival board then they will be seen in the search results with original threads or not?
It was my personal preference, I'm not going to debate which one is better because both of the choice seems be fine since the moderator didn't delete or lock the new created thread.

Why you need to post it in archival section? but that's depend on your choice.

If your purpose of updating the new thread for yourself, then you can post in archival board or keep it by yourself. If you want to make everyone know, then post it in appropriate section.

When i will upload them in every appropriate board then many users will post comment like this:(wow, thanks, you are helpful, etc. but will more non value words and sentences)
they will start commenting on every threads and those threads will keep bumping for 10-15 days.

I have done this one thread, check here: Bitcoin Transaction Fees - Everything in one (UPDATED)
Original: Bitcoin Transaction Fees - Everything in one
but it will take some time for getting indexed in search engines, to be accessed by searching.
480  Other / Meta / Re: Is it right idea to update old guides? on: October 14, 2023, 08:53:37 AM
updating and uploading/posting all guide in one thread, post after post will show in search results? or I need to start a new thread for every guide/article?
Or any other good idea to make things easier and non confusing for users? like just search the half title and will show both guides original and image updated.
It's up to you, someone did this and he created a new thread with a same title by posting the original source in the headline Re: [Eng: Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message - Fingerprint

But I personally choose to post it in the original thread instead of creating a new thread (if the thread isn't locked), in order to not look as spam.
