461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and crime... on: August 09, 2017, 10:38:26 PM
Yes everyone picture Bitcoin with crime as there is so much theft, etc. which is sad.

I think soon people will get better at security and there will not be so much theft.

Right now it is like the "Wild, Wild West" you can just go into a bank with a gun and take all of the money.
462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Highest bitcoin profit you have ever received... on: August 09, 2017, 07:23:05 PM
MY highest profit ever was when Litecoin was rallying and I made 1 Bitcoin overnight while sleeping and sold it in the morning. Smiley
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I made a cryptocurrency arbitrage calculator on: August 09, 2017, 07:15:16 PM
Hey everyone  Smiley

I just finished coding the first release of my cryptocurrency arbitrage program, so if you guys ever get tired of hodling and want to make some money trading check it out:

Website with live data:
https://manu354.github.io/cryptocurrency-arbitrage/

GitHub: https://github.com/manu354/cryptocurrency-arbitrage

The aim is that this will improve the state of cryptocurrencies by lowering the price variations between markets and make cc's, more appealing to mainstream investors.

The program is in no way finished and I am working on it everyday. To see the roadmap/ Todo list visit the GitHub. Message me if you want me to add a specific Market.

I would love some feedback!

Hey man, this is actually an amazing tool.

I have always wondered about arbitrage given how volatile the crypto markets are, it seems like a great opportunity.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How much will 1 DeepOnion be worth? on: August 09, 2017, 07:13:20 PM
Hasn't TOR already been cracked? From what I gather, dark web merchants are now getting popped regularly. I believe the government has been using universities to research ways on compromising the network. Obviously, if TOR is crackable, the government may not necessarily brag about it out loud.

When you control a certain % of the exit nodes(As NSA do), they get a pretty good picture and can track a lot of stuff easly. Not nessecarrely cracked

But DeepOnion will solves this problem because TOR users can now send money privately without the NSA knowing. Smiley
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / How much will DeepOnion be worth? on: August 09, 2017, 04:47:49 PM
Do you know how much 1 DeepOnion coin will trade for?

What do you think?
466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason that keeps me from investing in bitcoin on: August 09, 2017, 04:43:25 PM
You are right, but here si the thing.

When we do transactions they will show on the network instantly.

The problem is to wait for confirmations, which requires fees.

However, for Burger King they do not require any confirmations so they can use small fees like credit cards just like $0.05 (5 cents) which is nothing but the transactions will clear after 24 hours.
467  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Release the hounds : 45.8 BTC stolen - electrum-wallet.com CRIMINAL sticky pls on: August 09, 2017, 04:08:39 AM
I am sorry to hear this happened to you.

The domain is decent and I can see how you might have thought it was legit.

Unfortunately, there is no way for you to get your Bitcoins back.
468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers are active these days. on: August 03, 2017, 02:18:03 AM
Lots of fake websites
Lots of bad backdoored programs and e-mail fishing scams
If you visit a website check the address to make absolutely sure your on the real website.
Trust no one!

Some guy just started a thread claiming he was scammed out of $150,000 worth of Bitcoins...

He was trying to get Bitcoin Cash and downloaded a .exe file from an unknown website which he thought was an Electrum wallet.

Turns out it was malware and shortly after, his 48.5 Bitcoins disappeared. Shocked
469  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: August 02, 2017, 11:17:05 PM
Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?

15 years is extremely ambitious. I give it closer to 150 years, and not even playing. My exact guess would be 80-100 years.

Here is the thing... everyone in the world uses some form of fiat. It takes time to do anything. It takes LOTS of time to change minds. Then we need to educate the kids about what Bitcoin even is, and most have no idea. Although most kids have no idea about the concept of money in general, so I guess that doesn't matter.

What I am getting at is this is a huge undertaking and cannot be accomplished "soon".
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex Takes the Lead in Bitcoin Cash Trading Volume on: August 02, 2017, 04:20:55 PM
Very intelligent move on the part of Bittrex!

This was a huge opportunity to acquire new users to their platform - and they are doing just that.

I just checked my Jaxx wallet and I don't have as much ZEC as I thought I did. Is there anyway you would accept my Bitcointalk account as collateral. I could still send you the ZEC cash I have as well. Can we cancel the above one or how does that work? I'm sorry I'm new to the bitcoin loan process.

477  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Best Buy Gift Cards for BTC $150 & $300 on: July 22, 2017, 07:46:11 AM
Make me an offer

One card has $150

One card has $300

Both have been phone and in store verified today by me

So these are bought online or in live store ?

I want the 150$ one.

These were bought online but can only be used in store. They are 100% legit and can be verified by Best Buy on the phone and in the store. For some reason online verification is not working but the balances can be verified through Best Buys online gift card balance check (the number can be found on Best Buys website) or you can verify the balance of the card in store with a sales representative. I did this today just to double check that the cards are legit and there would be no issues redeeming them. I used a $100 gift card that was showing same online verification issues without problems earlier this evening when I went into Best Buy to ask about the cards.

We can definitely use escrow and I am guaranteeing these cards 100% or I will give your money back to you. I can do 50% of the price up front before I give you the card number and pin.... you verify the balance.... you can leave 50% in escrow until you redeem the card and then release the other 50%

Let me know Smiley
