wow, knew this would happen. This is exactly what we don't want for bitcoin. "It's an online form of money laundering used to disguise the source of money, and to disguise who's both selling and buying the drug," said Schumer.

Dude I think you've been sucking on the government teat too long. I'm betting you went to some government endorsed institution for school too. The USA is the most powerful nation in the world for a reason, because it's (was) the land of the free. It's those socialist ideas that are killing it today.
1. user presents opposing side, does a good job 2. topic starter says his argument is invalid because he is the opposition

how do we know that this isn't msdn/technet keys?

usually, seeing the transaction in your client will be enough. Double spending requires good timing, which is impossible to do, unless you know the position of the victim, and the location of where the next block will be generated.

Any progress on this? Seems to be one of the most important outstanding issues.
I am waiting for permission from my employer before I proceed. Nearly have it, but bureaucracy bureaucracy. you need your employer to work on a private project? wtf?

or you can buy them on ebay for $4, and cut them yourself.

u can't, don't listen to these people. This is worth at least 1 grand USD, I would not sell it if I were you. Also, EpiSKing, $500, are you joking or what? This is no forum for trolls and low ballers.
registered one day after this thread was posted. seems legit.

I need you to buy something ($220-$230 CAD) for me. What you do is purchase the product, and have it shipped to my house. You will be paid 14 BTC. If you're a long time member, and have a good reputation, I will pay upfront. Otherwise, I'll use clearcoin.
edit: it's not anything illegal. just some computer parts. and this is from a store, not ebay. You have to be in canada to do this.

moral of the story: join the smallest pool

[...]These keys are a dime a dozen, and aren't suitable for anything.[...]
With this keys you can activate your Windows over the internet and you will have a fully legal windows. Why there aren't suitable for anything then? They work like physically keys. for home users, this isn't anything different from a crack (easily obtainable). For business users, who can't used cracked because they'll get sued, msdn keys are not suitable because you need to present PHYSICAL keys in an audit. and msdn keys are not for use in production environments. The only thing left is the "moralists" who want to help out m$. msdn keys don't help M$ at all, because you got them for free.

The price is too high.
I'm living in China, I want to sold several my books, it's about 10-30 CNY, and worth only 0.09 BTC-0.27 BTC.
You can see the inconvenience lies in the small numbers, though it's not very obvious.
If the prices keeps going up, the problem is going to be obvious. So I suggest that the team move fast, to make something = 10^-3 BTC.
bitcoins are divisible to 8 decimal places. so i don't see what's wrong. Dealing with zeros is pretty easy. is 0.01 any different from 1.0? assuming they're the same value.

Yes, your technical knowledge of this system impresses me.
However, everybody keeps talking about how awesome bitcoins are for having this many decimal points.
What is the use of all this decimal points if I cannot make a payment using them?
topic derailed. also, bitcoins are divisible to 8 decimal places.

Nice reading
Notable changes: Client will accept and relay TX's with 0.0005 BTC fee schedule (users still pay 0.01 BTC per kb, until next version)[/li][/list]
bitcoins will have to be 600 USD for it to become more than paypal's 0.30 fee.
