4621  Economy / Gambling / Re: This might be a different approach to gambling on: September 30, 2019, 09:46:36 PM

If this gambling site that do have true intent then congratulations but as a gambler or even just a person that do have common sense on how business works then
its hard to think that a service do offers no house edge thing unless if its temporal then its understandable but this one pertain or tending to be free or houseedgeless forever then
you cant blame people not to question out.

Agree here 100%,,, and we all know we each hate ads and spam when we do not ask for it.

But on the other hand,,, if I like the site service and I do want to help them out, I will not mind seeing 1 or 2 ads a day, but of course only in a specific section where I can choose to watch and maybe open a faucet, that kind of thing. Just a suggestion:)

If you would like to help us out there is the option to donate to our project. We don't really feel like adding ads to a non-profit concept.

A really new approach to gamblers. Having 0 house edge could be a game-changer but how can you supposed to maintain your gambling site if you are only relying upon on donations. Not to mention the hosting service fee and other website fee's. Finding a good sponsor or donator can help you a lot on the free service that you are giving. Hyping this gambling site could possibly attract some donators to support you.

Kudos to Runnert on making this gambling site without any house edge!
4622  Economy / Gambling / Re: FortuneJack has a problem in Dice game on: September 30, 2019, 09:07:47 PM
even though i wagered 500btc over a few years at FJ. i'm up 11btc there

so i guess i am the master of dice. not even 10% edge can hold me down
Do you have any proof of this? Even for several years, a profit of 11 bitcoins is very good. I have been playing dice since 2014 and I haven’t won in any of them, especially in the long run. Which method are you using?

in 6 years. let say i gambled like this at 7-8 dice sites. luckygames and FJ are only sites that i'm up

on the other dice sites i'm down more than 11 btc

Pretty hard core gambler hmmm.

If FortuneJack tries to giveback the other 9.89% house edge, You would get back a ton of unknown fees that you are dealing with over these years.

I'm sure there are many gamblers who gamble like this, Fortunejack would take a long time compensating the players.
4623  Other / Meta / Re: Maximum number of posts eligible for payment on: September 30, 2019, 08:10:59 PM
I think there should be a rule regarding maximum number of eligible posts.

Just follow the forum rules, follow campaign rules, obey anyone, don't shit around, don't make a non-sense post, post constructively and all will be fine.

For me, no need to create a special rule because of a single campaign because anyone can spam with or without a signature. Help reports those spammers and let our precious moderators/admins/staffs to handle them.
There are many posts in the forum that are not spam and if you report them will be marked as bad. But it's better if they don't exist like what is going on in some spam mega threads. These kind of posts are only made to be paid.
We don't know if another campaign like yobit will appear tomorrow.
I get your point, but moderators are doing it as a critic as they can. Judging someone's post if it is a scam or not. Even a full member rank in this forum can judge someone's post if it is considered as scam or not. Higher-ups are not labelling them as a spammer if they don't spam here in the forum, of course, they have a basis as well or criteria maybe.
4624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banking system and BTC on: September 30, 2019, 07:38:43 PM
In my opinion, these two things absolutely can not be combined. Therefore, only one must win

Others have stated their opinion already regarding about this topic that is been on fire when people started wondering if this two could unite as one, but for me, this debate about banks vs. bitcoin should be stop because we are just gonna keep on clashing, there are people who's going for bitcoin and of course there are also people who would go for bank. Old people use banks, what I mean by old people are your parents or maybe your Government, they use it because banks have been there for them before bitcoin, you know there is a saying that "I was born like this and I will die like this" concept which is kind a one sided and narrow minded for me.

For them new inventions are scary, like bitcoins, no wonder why the majority are againts it, I mean they don't trust cryptocurrencies. People's mind feed from what the majority says, let's say if the Government told them that bitcoin is just a scam, they would believe it real quick, and that is what they are going believe forever.

In short, even banks and bitcoin could not be combined, they could still both exist without eliminating either of them.

Completly agreed on your statement, Both of them will never be perfect especially some are not believing in cryptocurrency some doesn't believe in banks. As a user, we all have the opportunity to choose what is more suitable in our current lives. Depending on the situation we can have banks and crypto on our side, we aren't forced to pick just one.

Its just both cryptocurrency believer and bank believer will keep the fire going, Just know the advantage and disadvantage of both and you can freely pick on which side to go.
4625  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Curious why are people buying aws credit on: September 30, 2019, 07:02:37 PM
And also for sure, there are some people who bought lot of AWS credits or some coupon inside there are some AWS credits.
Some people also bought a large amount of that when there are some discounts, so something like they will hold those lot of AWS credits/coupon/codes.
Then they can sell it with someone with the best price, like a win-win situation for those buyers and sellers. That's why you can see some sellers of AWS code are have much better price than buying in someone.
Purchasing aws credit in order to save money from different services. It's legitimate though, buying that would let you save some pennies.

If you are a regular paying customer of a hosting site it will help you a lot on paying the service rent by applying coupons and getting a discount from it.

Buying and selling the codes can be more profitable.
4626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what ways Bitcoin is different from traditional currencies? on: September 30, 2019, 06:52:14 PM
usually paper currency has a maximum transfer limit, so both parties (buyers and sellers) must come to the bank for large transactions (house-purchase for example), of course this is in my country, I don't know if in other places
but with bitcoin you can transfer money without a maximum limit
and also don't forget anonymity and decentralization
Banks has its own security precautions. It may be an advantage and a disadvantage from their customers. Customer doesn't have a choice but to comply with their requirements. Cryptocurrency doesn't have such limit as you said but it doesn't mean it's not safe. Cryptocurrency has advantage on many things like transferring a large amount of crypto valued tokens around the world with just providing lower fees compared to wire transfers. It does have many disadvantages as well.
4627  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: i failed in day trading on: September 29, 2019, 09:13:30 PM
I always lost in trading. It was both fast and for a maximum of a week. As soon as I did not try to trade, anyway I got into a protracted transaction at least a month. And experience has nothing to do with it. It’s just tantamount to playing dice.
There are many trading services on the internet. You can just pay up for the services. You can learn from those pros by watching them trade for you.  You need a experience on trading if you want a constant win on trades.

I experienced switching into gambling when the time I lost too much money trying and trying to trade until I learn and switched back to trading, Reading different articles/blogs on how to succeed a trade.
4628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Believe That It's A Fix on: September 29, 2019, 08:42:56 PM
It actually depends on me if i know what I am doing and i know what is the capability of the fighter I'm choosing then i would choose my best fighter. But if i am having a doubt to the fighter then i might rather consider the option of a stranger but I wouldn't give all of my bets since I don't trust any stranger. But if I know who is that stranger, then I might consider to put a huge bet.

I think that will be a very bad idea. The corruption is so intense and in private that anything you see as a conspiracy might be just reverse psychology. They may try to show that the game is fixed but it is actually fixed but for the opposite outcome and the twist will come at the very end moment of the game. Hence I think if you suspect that the game is fixed it's better to not put any bet on it because it can turn on any side.
Thats right, That unknown person might try to confuse you or trying to making the odds of the underdog low. First things first, why would an unknown person leak confidential info to a random person. If you are trusting the fighter that you are betting why would you bet on the underdog? Fighters mostly have great pride and would not sell their games especially that their reputation is on the line. Think first before changing your hearts favorite.
4629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many gambling sites are you playing and do you use the same strategy on: September 29, 2019, 08:26:14 PM
Gambling sites are plenty in the numbers and here on this forum, they believe only the projects with the signature campaign here.

I never see the people support random sites and I will not say this is the best site or that is the best. We just need to have strategy which can make the profit on your pocket as upon the knowledge you are gaining on the games you are playing on specific sites.
Gambling sites need to establish their name by having a good reputation, and some gambling site is making use of signature campaign as their way of promoting and gaining the trust of the users. Playing on the stablished gambling site is a better choice than playing on a still-growing gambling site. The only advantage of growing gambling sites is the promotions they make and the promo they give to users that play on them.
4630  Economy / Economics / Re: K-POP Company owners are joining the train hype of Cryptocurrency on: September 29, 2019, 07:17:46 PM
Well it seems this is an example of a good use case in the entertainment industry and once successfully implemented and steered in the right way, it could pave the way to more crypto exposure and adoption among South Koreans since they are well known to be enthusiastic and die hard followers in the entertainment industry thus the explosion of K-Pop generation. Smiley

K-Pop fans are everywhere and as many have said, they have large following already.
This is a good way to introduce crypto to younger generation as well.
As they can easily adopt to this kind of technology, it will help in the crypto adoption that we are aiming for.
I hope they have long-term plans for this kind of initiatives and not just because they want to join the bandwagon.

Kpop celebs may be popular and can promote their blockchain project but it may not really help the industry to recover the loss. The volatility nature of crypto will only dip them more to the murky waters. The popularity though can make information of cryptocurrency be widely spread, Kpop are appreciated not just in Asia so the channel must be of help.
You can't say that they won't help the industry to recover. They might be an eye-opener to others who aren't believing in cryptocurrency especially that they have a large crowd following each of their moves. Believe in the power of crowd. They might be entangled in a more larger company that help cryptocurrency be known throughout the world.
4631  Economy / Economics / Re: CASHING OUT YOUR CRYPTO-CURRENCY PROFITS on: September 29, 2019, 07:04:19 PM
The best way to cash out your cryptocurrency profits is using a Bitcoin ATM. You can get cash and some of them do not require to provide identification. However, I do not know why you would want to cash out Bitcoin. You should hold!!
Tried cashing out my bitcoin using bitcoin ATM, It's quite easy than I think. But I never use it again after that because bitcoin atm in our country were shut downed and it is very far from my residence.

You should hold!!

Everyone of us has a reason why we need to cash out our bitcoin depending on the circumstances.
4632  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: September 29, 2019, 04:32:52 PM
i ve been disqualified for this bounty , while i kept on the rules.

★☆★ Rules ★☆★

Poor quality and unconstructive posts will not be tolerated on this campaign.

"Poor Quality" and "Unconstructive" are subjective terms. Therefore, the person that decides whether or not you are following the rules is the campaign manager. You don't decide what is poor quality or nonconstructive - they do.
Same thing on my mind bro. Cryptotalk has hired yahoo to provide the balance and to maintain forum rules. yahoo just did his own job to by doing ban hammer to those users who don't abide by the rules. A manager has their own rules on their signature campaigns which we should follow.
4633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How 18-year old boy became Millionare from Bitcoin on: September 29, 2019, 04:15:25 PM
I feel jealousy to see the success of this younger boy. How did this happen with a short period of time? Anyways, all the best!
Read the OP's post

I am talking about Eric Finman.
~snip

An inspiring story that is worth to read.

This is just a summarized of his journey.

Eric Finman is just a typical 16 year old student who is bright and creative. He has smart two brothers and he is the youngest. He is into latest technologies. When his brother introduced digital currencies (bitcoin) at 2013 who his brother brought 50 bitcoins. He decided to compete his brother by buying hundreds of bitcoin worth $1,000 in which his grandmother's  gave.

His brother Ross gave him a book by Ohanian ( a co-founder of Reddit), which indicates the power of internet and which got Eric's attention and interests. He is eager to meet him but there is $8,500 fee which made his parents think it was too much. With his eagerness he founds out and discovered that the bitcoin reached $1,200 and he sold his bitcoin to $100,000.

Finally, he met Ohanian. It amazed him how matured enough Eric when it comes to technology. One time, as a freelancer, he make a Flappy Bird knockoff  game and Ohanian is an eye opener for Eric's eagerness to use internet as a source of income.

He produce his own programmers, etc. And made his own company.

I just thought Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest millionare. Now, it is Eric Finman.

Here is my favorite line from my idol,

Quote from: Eric Finman
"I say if you do not become a millionaire in the next 10 years, then it’s your own fault."

He is now 18 years old. Despite of being disppointment in terms of education, he is now a successful and the youngest millionare by bitcoin and by his innovations and by being creative.

This is somehow inspiring for the aspiring user that aim to be a millionaire. There are many ways to be a millionaire and this teenager shows how to make million even he is at a minor age.

This article can make a person invest in bitcoin and has the possibility to make a person believe in bitcoin.
4634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tricks and tips for esports betting on: September 29, 2019, 12:02:21 PM
I don't think so that there's a trick in esports betting. I'm always betting in underdog team, that can go along with the game play of the other team. Why? Because I like to take the greater risk to get high return.
Same ideology, I prefer risking on lower odds than higher because of the high return that I can get. Of course, having research is a must, If I see the potential on the underdogs I will trust it and hoping they will win the game.

There are too many games that make an upset by defeating by underdogs and sometimes underdogs win the whole tournament. For example the TNC on WESG 2018 tournament, TNC got the biggest upset on the whole Dota 2 tournaments.
4635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine wants to legalize crypto (again) on: September 29, 2019, 10:17:32 AM
I am living in Ukraine and I can tell you that the cryptocurrencies are very well accepted here , you can find stores where you can buy and sell using Bitcoins also at the same time you can in person make the deal regarding your cryptocurrencies and such , so the people have already accepted it more or so , the government have changed a lot , the new president is open about everything thus I think it will be easy for the cryptocurrencies to make a place in Ukraine .

maybe it would be better if Ukraine made cryptocurrency
requires and teaches its citizens how to use cryptocurrency
thus making many people in the world can invest in a cryptocurrency which makes the Ukrainian economy better.
I agree, they are one step closer in creating a successful coin that Ukrainian can use in their own country. Getting crypto legal on a country is a big deal not only on the country but on bitcoin industry as it will affect the price of bitcoin.

I'm hoping that every country has an open mind about crypto.
4636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Who is Satoshi?" Should we put an end to this discussion? on: September 29, 2019, 09:55:43 AM
he is the person who created this bitcointalk forum, and disappeared in December 2010
and I heard that he still keeps 1 million bitcoin from pre mine
there will be many conspiracy theories if we keep thinking about this
But we don't know if he or she or a girl or even a boy. Satoshi is very mysterious when bitcoin created.  Many people claimed that they are satoshi but still unknown who is really Satoshi Nakamoto maybe someday he or she arrive but for now Satoshi wants to be have private life because he or she know once he expose his Identity to the public there is a lot of happen to him.
Yeah right, Many people try to claim that they are Satoshi Nakamoto that makes to many speculations on what are they planning to do or why they are claiming it. It is given that they will be tracked down because many governments are opposed to the concept of bitcoin. If the real satoshi Nakamoto comes out, I'm sure that he/she/they might have big evidence that they are the creator of bitcoin.
4637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin already won ? on: September 29, 2019, 09:24:56 AM
bitcoin does not become a currency, it has always been a currency and then became an investment and then in later years since people kept comparing it with gold they came up with the name "gold 2.0" but since a lot of users including you are new around here you saw the end result of that and you think that end is the start and the future is becoming a currency.

I don't think it moves along those straight lines really. Bitcoin didn't ever stop being a currency, it started as something that attempted to be currency, was finally used by a few people and then adopted by others.

It's still a currency to guys like me, we only get paid in Bitcoin. This forum is full of Bitcoin users sending and receiving as currency.

Never took to the gold comparison myself. Investment? That's speculation and happens to anything volatile.
Bitcoin is considered as currency, Everyone cant change that fact unless satoshi Nakamoto does a thing in order to change bitcoin.

On the gold standard, Every gold that your country had is converted into fiat.

Regarding the post of OP. The gold standard doesn't apply to bitcoin. These are the reasons.

First, You can't convert all of the fiats into bitcoin because it has a fixed asset.

Second, you won't know who is the one who is holding bitcoins

Third, Not everyone can use bitcoin

There is more disadvantage than disadvantage thats why this will never be the new gold standard.
4638  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hero Account seller on: September 28, 2019, 08:48:52 PM
Surprised how a hero member does not know the basics of the forum? <...>

This user knew actually, but accidentally "forgot".

The user doesn't give a damn about having red trust in his account. He obviously know that selling account is prohibited here and he doesn't even use a alternative account for example to sell his account or maybe an alternative account.

Making me think that he doesn't value his "Hero level account" that can only be achieve with in a year of activeness.  Roll Eyes
4639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fell again, what conspiracy? on: September 28, 2019, 11:55:30 AM
I think one of the causes is the effect of trade war between China and America
and also the global economy is weak

dollar trade wars been going on for decades, centuries even, weak economy been going on since 2008... come on atleast try a bit better and stay relevant to this year

how about all those futures options that expired last year, people put into another yearly contract which they are now closing those contracts.(meaning something relevant to the last 12 months)

how about all those hashrate chatter causing people to panic because its not supporting a good bottom floor value line support(2 month floor puts btc at a ~$7k cost to mine).. in short the $10k price was inflated/bubble and not 'good value'

how about people now trying to register with brokers to use things like bakkt instead of buying direct thus less buyers and more sellers on the exchanges.

anyways. if you want to stick to the decade view of causes, here is the best one.
bitcoin has and will always be volatile like a stormy sea. with waves going up and down. dont expect a perpetual tidal wave growing constantly bigger and bigger. dont expect smooth sailing. always expect ups and downs

All of these factors you said are true. Volatility is the main problem of Bitcoin, so it is okay to see such a fall in a short period of time. The trade war also slightly affected the fall of Bitcoin. But, i have one question: Is this Bitcoin`s drop critical or not? As for me, it seems like the end of the bull market and the beginning of the bear market and Bitcoin will not be able to recover and get undressed to at least 10k now.
Please be guided that volatility is one of the asset of bitcoin and it isn't a problem. Comparing to stock market bitcoin is absolutely volatile that can change its value with in mere seconds. It is the asset that setting it a part from other markets , Decentralization is given though.

There are many threads here about the prediction. Check it out , you wont lose anything  Wink
4640  Other / Meta / Re: [Beware]Bitcointalk PHISHING attempt by E-Mail on: September 28, 2019, 09:42:28 AM
Since you actually received the message through your email instead of through Bitcointalk's messaging system like what happened to dkbit98, did you publicly submit your email on a bounty campaign topic by any chance(I assume some bounty campaigns requires you to submit your email/social media)? They'd have to get your email from somewhere. My guess that they got it through bounties as your email is hidden on your profile.
I checked his profile and his email address is hidden. Not sure if it was always hidden so maybe the spammer got his email address just by checking it on his profile.

Having alt accounts is not against the rules on bitcointalk and many highly ranked and trusted users here have alts. Bitcointalk wouldn't be sending such messages because you are not breaking any rules by having an alt account. Also, scams are not moderated here so even if an alt of yours has scammed the forum administration would not investigate such cases. Scammers get tagged by DTs but they don't get banned.
Same thought man , I have known many trusted members alts. Alts is defined on how you will use it. Many member abuse the legalization of alts by making money in it. Using their alts to scam and to abuse some signature campaigns.

bitcointalk doesnt send a message that you have an alt account. It never happen and it never will. We have other threads here in the forum about the same issue which is phishing. Its just sad that hackers are adopting to new way of hacking accounts that you wont know that you where hacked.
