1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The scam of FAKE fixed matches on: February 05, 2024, 06:43:54 PM
If I ever saw a advertisement about a fixed match, I would not click it. There's no way that a fixed matches could be advertised publicly, even if it is a paid ones. So being advertised publicly is a major red flag, those who do real match fixing never share it as they spend a ton of money on making it possible. It's a scammer new way of scamming us gambler, I wonder how people are getting scammed by this. I will get it if it's newbies or new to the gambling industry but if it's a seasoned gambler, there's something wrong with that gambler. Desperation to win will just bring us to a dire situation like this, so always remember to be vigilant and stay out in this kind of offerings/scams.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Many traders will lose soon a lot the ftx 2.0 is ready on: February 05, 2024, 06:13:03 PM
lol whichever exchange this is, it will only happen after the bull run, we are safe until you won't withdraw your coins from that exchange whichever that exchange is.

ftx2.0 = unknown.   crypto.com?
if the same modus, it's this exchange that comes to my mind, almost the same promotion, and have bought arena also. nothing else besides this one. if there is something they save for the last attempt i guess its crypto.com.
It's hard to trust every exchange nowadays, the safe play is to don't store our funds on these exchanges and only use them when it is needed. Storing our funds on our non-custodial wallet is an important thing. Decentralize platforms are now increasing more than ever, I believe that there will be a time where decentralize exchange will be our first choice rather than centralized exchange.

Personally, I'm trying to avoid mid tier crypto exchange as much as possible and just try to stick with the top tier exchanges and platforms to lessen the chances of being scammed or being hacked.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Management on: February 05, 2024, 05:15:46 PM
I often run out of funds due to gambling that is too blind in terms of placing $$ on every bet I make and ends up losing. I do multi-bets and single-bets, every time I win, sometimes I forget myself and use all my $$ on the next bet. This sometimes gives me big wins, but if I'm unlucky I can lose all my funds and this has happened many times.

I started to realize and change my habits. Now I use $$ from the profits from the previous bet to place the next bet and save my initial capital.

What do you think, is this good and can help me overcome losses that will occur so that $$ remains safe and can be used in future betting? Are there other unique ways that you can use to grow your money in gambling? feel free to comment. Thanks
You absolutely need to learn how to manage. If it happened so many already, you should make sure that it will not happen again next time. If it became a habit of yours, try to change it by withdrawing your initial capital and your profit and use the remaining funds to gamble. Try to write down the things you need to do when you win on a paper and stick it beside your monitor, it will be a good start as you will notice it every time and familiarize it until you make it an habit. I guess you also need to have a proper financial management because it seems that you can't control yourself from this kind of things, it would be better to try to avoid this kind of habit now because I'm sure it can lead to addiction. This is one of addicts symptoms, they always forget the value of money they are spending on each bets they do.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does BTC mean to you? on: February 05, 2024, 03:29:36 PM
Just like others it's freedom and opportunity. Bitcoin had opened a lot of opportunity for me to earn profits and realization from my financial mistakes. Learning about bitcoin helped me for a lot of time, and teach me how to be financially responsible. Acquiring the financial freedom is what I think the greatest I achieved using bitcoin, bitcoin is an asset that I won't forget for a lifetime. No asset will be compared on how bitcoin help me in my over all life.

I wonder how am I now if bitcoin didn't exist? I maybe a different person now compared
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who says Tesla initiated last bull run is wrong on: February 05, 2024, 03:00:43 PM
Elon and tesla has great contribution on doing the manipulation that makes bitcoin sky rocket but I don't think that they started it. They just started to increase the buying pressure of the high bitcoin price before. Elon surely did market manipulation, even without his bitcoin manipulation strategy, he manipulated doge so much. I remembered the days where every elon tweets about doge, the market go crazy and pump the price of doge. It's an obvious manipulation.

These influencers are trying to make crap about who started the bull market, saying that apple will engage on cryptocurrency. I doubt it, really.
6  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Nagresign sa trabaho dahil kumitw ng malaki sa Bitcoin? on: February 03, 2024, 10:19:55 PM
Unless cryptocurrency lang ang source of income mo then no. It's always better to have multiple source of income. Crypto is full of uncertainty and maraming pwede mangyari in a single night, even if it's bull market is I think hindi maganda mag resign if crypto lang source of income mo. Though pag meron ka pang ibang source of income na mag susutain sa lifestyle mo if ever bumagsak ang crypto is I think ok lang mag resign especially if it is bull market.

Weigh your options and possible risk sa mga big decisions like this. Nasa pinas tayo at mahirap humanap ng trabaho sa companies dito lalo na kung yung skillset mo is not that uncommon.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Psychology of Investing in Bitcoin on: February 03, 2024, 05:21:42 PM
It varies for every individual and for me it's a mix of all and mostly it's never for thrill as profit matters for me thus I am not a day trader but a long term investor who has started DCA for quite a while and it has been really fruitful. Let's talk about emotions like the urge of buying more when Bitcoin is at peak and sometimes making that mistake especially like how people did in 2017 bull run it's natural and it takes time to learn and control our emotions especially when we are new to the market as well as when we don't have any strategy. But  compared to 2017 people are more mature and wouldn't be making blunders now except newbie.
Profit always matters as no one would put their money on an investment that wouldn't grow. People who are on the crypto space for a long time has more control and patience, in short they are more mature now compared before where every time that bitcoin dips hard, every one panics. Those who are in this industry for a long time knows what can happen in most of the situation just like other people on other industry, we have this skill set that most new people in crypto space doesn't have. We know that investing on bitcoin can generate us profit and for an old timer like me, I believe that the bitcoin I have will become fruitful that's why I invested in it. I care for profit just like everybody does.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning comes before earning on: February 03, 2024, 03:52:45 PM
While learning should comes first before earning, newbies nowadays are seeing the opposite way. Instead, their mindset is to make a quick earning out of everything, as majority of them are influenced by these fake crypto influencers that are spread online. It seems that they are not learning in the forum but take the shortcuts due to their high greed, and see them losing in the end.

The moment they lose, that’s when they start learning seriously. Since they don’t want to repeat the same mistakes again, so that’s when they start exploring and studying the forum well and realized that they are doing very wrong in the first place, the reason why they never succeeded but end up committing mistakes and losing their funds.
Yep, even before it is just like that. People who hasn't experience trading thinks that trading can be a quick money generator. Another factor is what influencer does, making trading as easy as they can. There are influencer who promotes trading platform with out even knowing how to do a trade, I've seen so many bunch of youtubers promoting trading platforms in their contents with carefree words, it's like they are telling people that it's a way to earn easy money. Those who trades knows how hard trading can be, they learn from their mistakes and becoming careful next time. In fact it is how I learn, the experience from my mistakes is what my current trading skill represents.

Newbies should learn first, it's not good to lose money on your way on becoming a skilled trader. I've experienced it the hard way and I don't recommend losing so much money before gaining profits.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SlowMist reports 80% of X comments related to phishing software on: February 03, 2024, 03:19:26 PM
X/twitter is the primary social media choice of majority of crypto users, also the projects. They preferred it because X is much less stricter on crypto contents. Scammers/hackers would always take the opportunity to scam the greatest platform that they can ever put their phishing sites. I'm just shocked that hackers and scammers had built their community that organizes buy and sell of malicious services and products. It may become an industry if they continue to grow and if X/twitter can't stop them. Elon task to remove majority of the bots where half successful, I wonder how will he deal with the scammers and hackers on twitter.

People on twitter are getting scammed everyday and the result of this is increasing number of wanna be scammers and hackers.
I guess matatamaan nito yung mga nasa platform like Shopee, Lazada and tiktok kasi recorded yun kita nila sa platform at madali sila mahanap. About sa crypto naman is I think possible din ito malagyan ng tax, I think during the bull market or once na uminit yung bitcoin sa public is igagrab ng government natin ang opportunity para lagyan ng tax ang cryptocurrency.

Taxing online business will just have a negative effects to business owner and consumers majorly kasi tataas talaga yung prices ng products. Let's see sooner or later once na maghigpit ang gobyerno sa online businesses.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: February 02, 2024, 09:03:06 AM
A gambling expert brought i and some friends a guaranteed predicted game and asked us to stake a a high amount so that we winning could be huge and so we can give him a percentage of the money at winning.

I don't believe there could be a 100% guaranteed game but yet my friends who are eager to make profits in the gambling accepted to play the gamed as instructed and at the end of it, they all loosed the game and at then, the rest of us were happy because we didn't play the game else we would had loosed as others.

I want to ask, do you believe in experts gambling predictions?

I have been gambling for a long time but I have never seen a 100% win guarantee nor has anyone given me such a 100% guarantee. The bets I have placed may have given me a higher chance of winning but I have never gambled with the certainty that I will win the bet. Some bets are played through match fixing, the outcome of which may be 100% guaranteed, but match fixing is not always possible for gamblers.
Gamblers who do match fixing are very big gamblers and they spend millions or billions of dollars behind fixing a match and their secrets are not known to ordinary gamblers. Therefore, it is not possible for those who are regular gamblers to be sure that they will win 100% in any gambling game or that the outcome of any bet will be 100% in their favor.
Even an expert doesn't guarantee a 100% win with their predictions. The one that OP thought was a predictor expert was most likely a scammer expert LOL. If it's a too good to be true offerings like 100% win, surely it's a scam. There's no such thing as zero risks on gambling. I also don't think that the predictor expert that OP trusted was an insider for a fixed match game, given that no one who knows that match would be fixed will share their information to a random person for some little profit. It's sad to see some people believe petty scammers.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not everyone deserves to hear of your winning in gambling. on: February 02, 2024, 08:21:38 AM
Sharing your success is good in order to share successful field with others but I think the success of gambling should be hidden because if someone hear about your success then may be he force you to gamble for him but here it is not possible to earn all the time therefore keep every success as a secret. The wife is only a trustable person is one's life and sharing success with wife is a good idea because a person wants just a single loyal person with whom he can share all his worries and happiness. If you share your success with others then also think that everyone cannot get success in gambling because everyone's luck is not same in it.
If you can think sharing your success in gambling will make other to force to gamble for them, I see no difference with:

1. Sharing a success in cryptocurrency, they will force you which coin you invested and trade for them.
2. Sharing a success in real life e.g. promotion, they will force you to give them a job.
3. Sharing a as an athlete, they will force you to share your winnings a little bit to them.

In the end, they will ask something that gives them benefit even though they did nothing for you.
Unless you straight up reject those person who are requesting these things to you. It's just that there are people who don't understand the struggle and the risk we face whenever we get a success from what we are doing. I find it no problem sharing our winnings especially if the person can understand the struggles I face to get the success, but if there are other person who I know new to the thing and just want to ride my success, I will mostly no entertain them.

Atleast for the people who requested to join the ride to success, they should at least learn the fundamentals or know the risks. It is hard to be blamed if you failed, also it's an additional pressure if someone is waiting for your success.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Viewpoint of a fan gambling on: February 02, 2024, 07:15:24 AM
Follow the money, I would pick the enemy team if it has a higher chance of winning on a match agains't my favorite team. Call me bandwagon but we are doing gambling here, our money is on the line. The fact that you are using your emotion on doing gambling increases the chance that you can lose your bet.

There are hardcore fans that brings their fanboy/fangirl level at it's peak, to the point that it can affect their personal life just because of the team they are supporting. This usually happens on soccer fans, as far as I know soccer fans are crazy loyal to their supported teams that it sparks physical harms between fas during matches. This is one of the example of those gamblers who I think will bet their favorite team even if it is obvious that the team they are supporting has a lesser chance of winning.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To what extent have you hated yourself due to your gambling losses? on: February 02, 2024, 06:51:21 AM
I think a lot of people can share my experience...

You have a long losing streak and then you get that urge to "Go big or go home" and you go "All in"!!  In most of those instances, you end up losing everything.  Angry

Chasing losses or going "All in" is seldom a good idea and it ends in frustration and anger or tears.

Just accept that we have "On" or "Off" days and just adjust your play according to that.  Grin
I think most of us go through this kind of scenario in our gambling experience. I myself had experienced it and just like most of us, I lost my whole bankroll in an instant because I became tired of the losing streak. Thinking that all of my unluck was released and the "all-in" will be my lucky bet. You will instantly think about your actions after you lose on a scenario like this, you have no choice to continue since you don't have funds anymore, all you can do is to regret and move on.

This scenario sucks but I guess we all should experience this as this as the realization that we can get from this is important.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What have you learnt from this forum that has actually saved/ you in real life. on: February 01, 2024, 06:55:07 PM
Most of my knowledge since I started here. I mostly read here about cryptocurrency, latest trends, hacks and guides came from here. I rarely use twitter but I read some crypto articles if it is eye catching enough. Cryptocurrency is evolving and on constant growth, the threads here helps me get updated on what is happening on cryptocurrency and at the same time making me earn some extra cash to put on my cryptocurrency investment. Maybe the strategy on crypto investing is what I learned here the most compared to other platforms out there.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: Before you start gambling, do some research first on: February 01, 2024, 06:18:22 PM
If a person spends his entire salary on gambling, it means that he is not that he is not developing or standing still, he is clearly degenerating. Probably there are already problems in his head and they are quite serious. I think that such a person is not able to fight gambling addiction on his own. He needs the help of specialists and he should turn to them for help as soon as possible.
He will only experience problems if he spends his entire salary on gambling and will not be able to meet his daily needs. He needs to realize that he has to allocate funds for gambling and his daily needs so that he can see how much limit he has for gambling and must not exceed the limit. If he always violates his boundaries, he will only have gambling addiction problems without realizing it because he just sees that gambling has now become something important for him. He wanted to win from gambling until he developed a gambling addiction. He really needs to get help from the people around him to take him to a specialist so he can get the right help.

Sometimes I wonder why a person whom gambling is frustrating will still remain stuck there even when it is causing him pain. I thought people actually learn from their mistakes, so don't addicted gamblers learn from their own mistakes and quit doing what is causing them pain? Consistently spending a huge part of his salary on gambling, even to the extent of becoming broke is a big cause for alarm. We certainly cannot help someone who is not interested in being helped, he must first admit that he wants to be helped. If he does not admit, all efforts of help from people will be in vain, but if he admits, cooperation and mutual agreement will be achieved, with this we can trust the healing process.
Because their desire to get back the money they lose. There are some gambler who just can't move on with their losses, most of them are just planning to break even and just quit after getting the break even goal. But the more you chase on gambling is the higher chance you lose. Even if they know that they exceed their allotted gambling funds, they still try to play by spending more just to at least break even.

It's just that there are gamblers who don't realize that they are an addict, those type of gambler needs some outside help from others. Making them realize that they need some help.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe visiting a seer or spiritual house could make you win a game? on: February 01, 2024, 05:51:14 PM
Well there are gamblers who prays just to win their bet, most of them are sportsbetters who prays during the match especially when it's a close fight. I personally don't believe on it and also don't care what other people do just to win their gambling activity. I believe that one thing that you can get if you pray or doing some spiritual stuff is the relaxation. The calm mind and relax composure is what logically help us gamblers win the games. Being relaxed is a factor on different gambling games such as poker, it also help us analyze the information when we are doing research on sportsbetting.

If we somehow find gamblers who prays on a real casino, it is just better to mind our own business because it is their belief.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: As a trader never settle for less on: February 01, 2024, 04:17:10 PM
I believe that we human desire more than what we have. I have an experience of being locked on my comfort zone and being satisfied with what I am doing, the result made my growth slow, I became lazier and lazier because there's little to no risk on what I am doing back then. My goals perished, that's the time I realized that being satisfied with my pace and what I am doing will just affect me negatively. There's a advantage and disadvantage on being satisfied but of course it depends on what you are doing and your mindset.

Never settle for less as long as you don't try being greedy, everything will be alright. Learn our limits.
19  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Marvin Favis na scam? on: February 01, 2024, 03:13:40 PM

Iforce myself not to watch his contents, pag sakanya nakita ko eh skip ko agad kasi either alam ko na yun or BS/pa hype content ginagawa niya. Ang laki din ng viewer base niya before at nagamit na yun para makapag invite or hatak sa mga investment na ganyan.

Personally I think sinali niya lang yung pangalan niya jan as an exit plan. There's a possibility na kasabwat niya pa yung scammer pero hugas kamay lang din yan si favis. It's just my speculation pero I believe na hindi yan mag papahuli si Mavis pag mangsscam siya.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pay off DEBT by do Gambling? think again before you loss more on: January 31, 2024, 07:09:20 AM
There are so many stories like this. They are being controlled by their desperation that's why they are doing gambling even if they don't really gamble or has no plan to gamble. Doing gambling has it's own risk but spending the money that shouldn't be used in doing gambling is an additional pressure that can be also converted to risk.

One reason why we do gambling is to earn money but on a perspective on doing gambling because a gambler need to pay a debt is not good reason to do gambling. You can make quick money on gambling but it doesn't mean that you should do it especially if the money you have shouldn't be used on gambling.
