When it comes to growing a small investment portfolio, I have found that the best is not to hodl but buy and sell the asset of your choice to take advantage of the small gains these coins make on a daily basis. Now the hard work lines in finding coins with the liquidity and volatility to take advantage of these movies...but for now try the meme coins which are mostly making rounds in the news and you can also go for major coins like bitcoin and Ethereum, just exercise patience and your que will present itself.

Well well well, who would have thought that Arsenal would beat Tottenham convincingly  Roll Eyes you know around this time..specifically this weekend I will say Champions League duty is the destruction and I believe spurs is having one of those games and hence had to manage its human resource for the big League. But not to take anything away from these guys that was one of the best performances by Arsenal in a long time, now its up to them to build on that momentum to win more games! Well played Gunners Wink

As an Arsenal fan, I am so happy.
Well deserved, congrats.
4663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 26, 2021, 02:51:12 PM
So, the derby lineups are out.

Arsenal: Ramsdale - Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney - Partey, Xhaka - Saka, Odegaard, Rowe - Aubameyang
Tottenham: Lloris - Tanganga, Sanchez, Dier, Reguillon - Ndombele, Hojbjerg, Alli, Moura, Son - Kane

I'm favoring Arsenal here, 2.5 odds at home are decent against a rival that is out of form as well. Kane to score might be a good bet though.
As much as I would love to see these guys to be on a winning run, Arsenal remains to be among the unreliable teams in the Premier League and am going for Tottenham to steal this win despite playing away from home. And looking at both teams, Spurs has a better team both on paper and on the field and I expect them to win.

My prediction: Arsenal 0-1 Tottenham

Southampton vs Wolves match is still on and a few seconds to go before the 90th minute, all well 6 minutes has been added and Wolves still in the lead thanks to a Jimenez goal...less than 4 minutes to go.
4664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Cryptocurrency is best for long term investment? on: September 26, 2021, 01:07:46 PM
Just as the list is in the OP, Bitcoin and Ethereum will always rank up high because they have high demand which can give us some guarantee of our coins not losing value in the long term but then again the real value also comes from these smaller projects because they are oftenly getting new investors who might pump money in these projects and value will go up,we just have to keep our ears to the ground to know of any such developments happeningin the crypto ecosystem.
4665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 26, 2021, 01:02:03 PM
Southampton vs Wolves team news is in...

Southampton XI: McCarthy, Livramento, Bednarek, Salisu, Walker-Peters, Romeu, Ward-Prowse, Elyounoussi, Redmond, Armstrong, Adams

Wolves XI: Sa, Semedo, Kilman, Coady, Saiss, Marcal, Moutinho, Dendoncker, Hwang, Jimenez, Podence

I honestly fancy wolves winning this one because they just look like a better side and Southampton without Danny ings are just not the same team that had the fighting spirit in them.

My prediction: Southampton 0-1 Wolves

On a lighter just read something really funny about Manchester Uniteds missed penalty yesterday. Apparently the Aston Villa Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez advised Bruno Fernandez not to take the penalty but rather give Cristiano Ronaldo Mr Ballon Dor to take it but did not take the advise. I guess it was at this point his psychology was played with....

4667  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What every new trader should be focused on on: September 25, 2021, 10:26:18 PM
I think the most basic should be how to read charts and to prove that this newly learnt skill has being mastered, after this  they can practice on demo accounts . My next  most encouraging area of focus has to do with risk management,  no matter how good one is ,if they can't apply this technique to their trading skill then their is no use to trade. But risk management minimizes the exposure of your account to these these external factors .
4668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin dump, Ethereum pump! on: September 25, 2021, 09:00:07 PM
Is the heading suggesting that king bitcoin is losing grip of its throne to Ethereum?? From how things look on my side I might think this could be normal demand of Ethereum going on as eth users try to move their eth tokens here and there nothing from the extraordinary but if this trend keeps up it might be an aspect of manipulation to bring this topic to life and influence us to give second opinions. I hope am wrong about the last part but anything is possible.

4670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: eth going strong on: September 25, 2021, 08:26:18 PM
Despite the bearish/ consolidating market we are in most altcoins have had a bad market outlook, they are in the red but Ethereum...the number one altcoin seems to be holding up well and this must be because it houses most of the altcoins on its blockchain as compared to any other out there which gives it the demand it needs to shield it from a further drop in value.

ETH getting stronger it's true.  but right now ETH looks like it should try to improve the quality of gwei's fees.  many investors are now complaining about the high cost of gas.  when the price of ETH goes up the price of gas goes up high.  maybe ETH should lower gas costs
I agree, this is its current down side Ethereum has ,even with several soft forks that it has under gone they have failed to bring fees to acceptable levels.
4671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 25, 2021, 07:49:38 PM
Today we watched a really unlucky Dortmund against Gladbach.
Some unfortunate rest here.

Gladbach managed to get ahead and only 3 minutes after the goal, Dahoud got a red card and Dortmund had to play with one less men. Erling Haaland wasn't brought to this match considering their Champions League game I guess. This was also a big loss for them. Gladbach managed to win by 1-0.
I said this and will say it again, Most teams that are involved in champions league games are kind of reserving their top players for the top league to give themselves a winning chance to progress , Which we saw with Dortmund do with Erling Haaland and several teams that played today have either shared points or lost the 3 points and that's about 80% of the teams I have kept tabs on have all dropped points.
4672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 25, 2021, 06:57:41 PM
Ladies and Gentlemen it's the champions league weekend and most of our favourite teams have disappointed most us us today, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, Leicester City etc and the most disappointing for me is Liverpool conceding 3 goals even with its big four playing in defense.  Am now worried for them because they will be facing Manchester City who will be pumped out after beating Chelsea at Stamford. When these mid-week games come go for goals not straight wins!
4673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Advice on trends on: September 25, 2021, 06:48:57 PM
With regards to altcoins - mostly Ethereum and Litecoins - is there a time of the day/week/month when they tend to go up/down? Im guessing trading on the weekends is quieter than during the week?

Appreciate any input ... thanks
You are right on that one about weekends being quieter because my indicator for me is the gas price, whenever I try to move my Ethereum based tokens/coins gas fees are lower over the weekend as compared to moving coins during week days but in terms of indicators to know the direction of these altcoins just follow the trend bitcoin is going with, if it shows signs of bring bullish be bullish too and vice versa and almost forgot...you can equally follow Elon Musks tweets about cryptocurrencies these do yield some serious reaction too,Goodluck.
4674  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-09-25]South Korean Taxman to Be Granted Right to Search Crypto Tax Evaders on: September 25, 2021, 05:28:09 PM
Things are going from bad to worse for South Korean crypto investors. Fresh from seeing their crypto exchange options shrivel to just four, heavily audited platforms on Friday, they are now being told that if they seek to sidestep crypto trading profits reporting protocols, their coins could be liquidated – and bailiffs could be sent to search their houses.

Crypto is not yet taxable in South Korea, but as of January 1, 2022, all crypto profits above USD 2,100 will need to be declared, and traders will be forced to pay a flat rate of 20% on their earnings above this threshold.

In addition, local branches of the National Tax Service (NTS) have been executing a countrywide crackdown on individuals they suspect of making crypto buys in order to avoid declaring income. This initiative has seen millions of USD worth of tokens seized and in many instances liquidated by the NTS, which demands not only overdue tax bills, but also fines in some instances.

But, Maeil Kyungjae reported, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance confirmed that the government “recently submitted an amendment to the National Tax Collection Act” to the National Assembly.

The latter is almost certain to green-light the proposal, which will be bundled with other legal amendments and hurried through parliament in the coming weeks.

4675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: September 25, 2021, 05:21:41 PM
Atletico Madrid 0 - 1 Alaves

 Grin

this was an expected result due to the fact that in all games Atletico won in a way helped by luck and suffered in most games
I guess Atletico Madrid could be another casualty of the Champions league fever as the team would have prioritized to save players for the Champions League at the expense of dropping points, but I looked at their squad and it's safe to say that these guys were beaten fairly even after fielding its "A" team with the likes of Suarez, Griezmann and others.

Valencia 1 - 1 Ath. Bilbao
This fixture at one time Valencia was always the team on top and then a few seasons back Ath Bilbao had its chances but these days this has turned out unpredictable and the result is fair IMO.

Another game that I thank you for not placing a bet
Real Madrid - Villareal

I hope real madrid wins this game

This will be a tough one I think the draw should be a fair result here.
4676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 25, 2021, 03:36:08 PM
Seeing our favourite teams dropping points like this can only be tied to one main reason and it's the champions league!! Manchester United dropped points probably because they were trying to reserve energy for the champions league and Leicester looks like the next casualties to drop points because of the mid week games that are lined up and am certain that before the end of the weekend most teams involved in this competition will follow suit especially that the away goals were scrapped off. Any body betting try your luck with the underdog teams or for the draw perhaps.
4677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 25, 2021, 01:35:05 PM
Drama in the house for Manchester United!

Aston villa just beat Manchester United by a goal and in injury time Bruno Fernandez failed to convert the penalty which should have rescued a point for them, looks like its another lose in a space of 1 week so unfortunate for a home match for United, with this result pressure is mounting on Ole.  Cry

On the other hand the other Manchester club just beat Chelsea by a goal, I guess the pressure was just too much and they couldn't hold and settle for shared points. City wins 1-0.
4678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 25, 2021, 12:38:36 PM
I'm watching the match for 20 minutes, the ball is in the possession of the Manchester City players. Chelsea can't keep the ball in their possession. However, the players of both teams are very careful. No team would want to concede a goal at first. But I will expect goals from both teams. I am waiting in front of the TV to enjoy the competitive match.
Both team are playing defensive game even Manchester city is in better control but still unable to have something interesting movement as I was expecting Manchester City could be better team because they have some good advantages against Chelsea, and today they are going to be very tough right now Ball possession for Manchester City 72% and Chelsea 28% and Corner Kicks City 8 and Chelsea with just 1.
Manchester City continued to be dominant in attack but indeed Chelsea's defense was strong enough so that there were so many attacks in a row but Chelsea were able to overcome it, Chelsea still haven't found an opening to attack back but I think in the second half there will be changes.
That's the thing about such games, you might have the most attacks but it will take just one counter attack against Manchester City and Chelsea will punish them and park the bus a strategy they invented themselves. And I still feel City can't win playing away from home.  Stamford Bridge should favour Chelsea.

Manchester City tried to push but the first half failed but we'll see what happens in the second half maybe this will turn around after Tuchel changes his strategy?
But like him Pep also will not stay silent in the strategy of his team.
Second half is underway and match still looks to favour them because of their aggressive attack but of late they haven't being winning games with their attack force hope it remains like this...

4680  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc $100k prediction by eoy on: September 25, 2021, 07:54:59 AM
Large scale institutions are doing all in their power to accumulate as much as possible at their lowest prices. But we will find out how things play out. People have been predicting bitcoin to hit $100K+
And it will surely happen,  these things don't happen over night! Look back and see where we are coming from, getting to hit $1000 was an achievement and nobody thought $10k would happen then price kept climbing the ladder over the the years till we saw $60k and that was the closest we have come to getting to $100k. With price being where it is now I don't think we are far from our target , it will take just a few investors  jumping on board and we are going to shooting for the stars.

one thing that I think I saw for certain the other day.. That Walmart fake news for example.. The price within 10 minutes went from like 44k to like 47k .. I don't think that was small investors who drove price up that fast, I think that was institutional money buying the fake news..
Sometimes it not about the whales or big investors, it's all about speculation or a business puff and the markets will react in a positive way.
