4681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why wait for the SEC? We are not their puppets on a string. on: July 31, 2018, 08:32:59 PM
It is sad that so many people are eagerly waiting for the SEC to pull the strings on the future of Bitcoin, when the future of Bitcoin is not built on governments approval or denial of financial instruments based on Bitcoin.  Angry

We should forget about these government employees <Politicians>that are playing us like puppets and we should cut the strings and build on our own success.  Angry

People should just continue to focus on natural growth and development of Killer Bitcoin applications and also improving the technology and distributing more Bitcoin ATM's etc. etc.

We should not place our hopes and dreams on what the SEC wants to decide, but rather what the people wants. These government employees are supposed to serve the people and if they stop doing that, then you should use your vote to get rid of them.  Roll Eyes

Stand strong, Do not sell to the Fiat masters and Hodl on!

the people are money earning cattle for the elites, they dont matter, same is for bitcoins centere.
4682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Only 2% of U.S. Investors Own Bitcoin - How Much Further Up Can It Go? on: July 31, 2018, 08:22:30 PM
2% looks like low number, but actually it's not bad considering Bitcoin negative stigma/FUD. If 2% U.S. investors own bitcoin, that means majority investor already know about bitcoin (or at least heard about it) even if they're not interested.

I'm not too excited since they don't really care about Bitcoin as currency/payment method which is decentralized, immutable, uncensorable, etc.
I would excited if the news said 2% of U.S. population already use bitcoin as currency or payment method Roll Eyes

us investors tend to be idiots jumping into everything new until trashed, they dont think long term strategically or carefully and risk averse they just join hypes they are beeing given.

"investors" is much much less than "consumers" or "people"
4683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Only 2% of U.S. Investors Own Bitcoin - How Much Further Up Can It Go? on: July 31, 2018, 06:50:17 PM
A recent Gallup poll (linked below) showed that only 2% of U.S. investors own any bitcoin, and 26% are intrigued. Think about those numbers for a second...

If even a small portion of those who are intrigued start to invest, the movement could be huge. Granted these are just numbers for the US, but statistics should be somewhat similar around the world. It seems we are still in the early stages. I know it may seem slow to many of us who have been following bitcoin for years, but don't lose faith, just think about the math and hodl!

source: https://news.gallup.com/poll/238016/investors-not-biting-bitcoin-intrigued.aspx

its already just "investors" not even consumers or people.

so its already very high bitcoin will never reach globally daily usage, it will stay a media hoax.

4685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do whales really control the market, or is that a myth on: July 31, 2018, 03:02:16 PM
Is there any evidence that these mysterious 'whales' really control the bitcoin market, or is this a myth generated as people try to understand why bitcoin prices go up and down?

jes they do, they manipulate media before they bought bitcoin, to achieve a so called bull run to scam the former owners.
4686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's face it you and bitcoin will be considered a POW sect on: July 31, 2018, 02:56:43 PM
The purpose of the BTC was not to be a monopoly in this market, otherwise there wouldn't even be this many coins emerging everyday. It's not the BTC's fault that the coins are not upto the bar that is set by BTC.

in the end you are just a group of people that has an oppinion and that spreads it because it has an interest in it. now. others can have too infact, humans are designed to never have enough of that.

so the question is since you already lost the index superiority, (coinmarketcap) media superiority will follow because it wont be in the interest of others to promote bitcoin.

you have hit a world where private creation of money was an unspoken taboo, money was supposed to be created for the purpose of achieving human rights goals. now you have diversified and decentralised it. which of course will create a lot of economic mismanagment.
4687  Economy / Speculation / Re: How Likely Is It That Bitcoin Will Hit $500k In Three Years?? on: July 31, 2018, 02:43:18 PM
Inspite of this downward pressure, bitcoin managed to combat its way back previously mentioned $8000 and used the vast majority of the weekend investing in the vicinity of $8,200.

Do you believe McAfee is right about Bitcoin hitting $50000 in 3 years?

it depends weather the diversification of media attention kicks in or not, if it kicks in bitcoin wil become just a rude cryptosect nothing more,

if media doesnt diverse attention like the banksters quickly lose even more trust,

bitcoin will in the end lose because its also destroying its basis, the remaining trust in the us banking cartel
4688  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for Excellent Blockchain Project Video Makers or Analysis Article Writer on: July 31, 2018, 01:30:15 PM

SEER is a next-generation decentralized prediction public blockchain, many Dapps will be built on SEER in 2018.

It takes DPoS as its consensus mechanism, and it's one of the new members of the Graphene Ecological Community.

Recently SEER has been listed on Bitfinex, the world largest cryptocurrency trading platform!

SEER has a lot resources in sports industry, good relationships with the government of Hainan province, China, and have already got the EXCLUSIVE operation certificate in Hainan in May, 2018.

The Typical Household, Now Worth a Third Less

Quote
Economic inequality in the United States has been receiving a lot of attention. But it’s not merely an issue of the rich getting richer. The typical American household has been getting poorer, too.

The inflation-adjusted net worth for the typical household was $87,992 in 2003. Ten years later, it was only $56,335, or a 36 percent decline, according to a study financed by the Russell Sage Foundation. Those are the figures for a household at the median point in the wealth distribution — the level at which there are an equal number of households whose worth is higher and lower. But during the same period, the net worth of wealthy households increased substantially.

The Russell Sage study also examined net worth at the 95th percentile. (For households at that level, 94 percent of the population had less wealth and 4 percent had more.) It found that for this well-do-do slice of the population, household net worth increased 14 percent over the same 10 years. Other research, by economists like Edward Wolff at New York University, has shown even greater gains in wealth for the richest 1 percent of households.

Typical class warfare lingo but yeah, things are trending down here in the home of the brave. Anecdotally, I know plenty of people living paycheck to paycheck while I stack coins for the future.

4691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's face it you and bitcoin will be considered a POW sect on: July 31, 2018, 09:35:16 AM
Of course it's always good to be reality based and down to earth. I don't expect Bitcoin to be the enslaving cryptocurrency centering the world's 90% electricity production.I expect it to be the common trend of transaction along with other cryptocurrencies. states using their own national cryptocurrency, and I guess the community is not far from coming to that point.

i think money might indeed lose its respect taking image, as earning it wont be a guarantee for wealth or power gain anymore
4692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN PEOPLE - Do you have a business that accepts Bitcoin? on: July 31, 2018, 09:33:15 AM
Hi,

We've just launched a great new website called BitcoinPeople.

It's a free to use directory showcasing all the businesses that accept Bitcoin as a method of payment.

Great for companies to advertise themselves on and a super easy way for customers to find somewhere to spend their hard earned Bitcoins.

The website has only just been launched so there are only a tiny amount of businesses featured on there at the minute. Therefore if you own (or know someone who owns) a business please visit BitcoinPeople and upload your listing!

Please follow us on Twitter @_bitcoinpeople

Thanks for reading and we appreciate your support!

you are idiots, probloem is that almost all traders that accept bitcoin will be disappointed because so few are being spend and extremly irregular.

What is the total investment you are looking for? $10k, $100k, $1M, $10M?

as much as possible i guess, the more you invest the higher the potential return.

with 10 M you could annoy people worldwide about it in the media
4694  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: the first adult cam-site to do bitcoin payouts to models on: July 31, 2018, 04:08:22 AM
Just few days ago we, Skyprivate.com, started to offer bitcoin as a payout method to models and studios working on our adult cam-site focused on skype shows: www.skyprivate.com

In 2015 Skyprivate added bitcoin option for customers that wanted to buy credit to spend with the models on skype shows.

At this moment Skyprivate becomes the only mainstream cam site that offers its models and studios bitcoin payouts. The minimum amount to withdraw via bitcoin remains $40 as it is for the other methods.

With this feature, Skyprivate closes the circle of crypto technology by offering anonymous funding options to customers and fast payout option to models.

Full details here: http://blog.skyprivate.com/bitcoin-epayments-future-skyprivate/

About SkyPrivate
SkyPrivate is a Pay Per Minute plugin for Skype™ allowing LIVE private sex video calls as well as prepaid shows. The plugin and the management platform built in, offers a new and safe way to hold private shows on Skype while making sure that your privacy is protected. The service is dedicated to adult audience consuming adult live cams services.

bitcoin isnt widespread at all, and its used not as a currency but as a speculation asset, for bull calls and other media run scam, i doubt its useful to run a business based on bitcoin at all since its so insignificantly rare, and almost nonexistent compared with the media attention it still has.

In fact, everyone understands that bitcoin does not pretend to replace Fiat.
And even more so it is not bitcoin. He's too valuable for that.
One day, another cryptocurrency will suit for everyday payments. But bitcoin will remain a guarantor and a regulator.

market will be highly fragmented, global currency can only exist, when the entire world society will supress themselves under a capitalist elite.
4698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's face it you and bitcoin will be considered a POW sect on: July 30, 2018, 06:57:56 PM
I think that btc will be the best coin for long and it will be like this even forever. I think that it will show its great potential soon and you will be able to trade it earning good money earning a living

not when monetery reform and fiat collapse will come, you will be just a cryptosect among others, people then will also promote altcoins or alternative cryptocurrency sects like dash, or zcash, but honestly those encription plattforms will proof to be as stable and better useable.

4699  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Is it really possible to raise a venture capital? on: July 30, 2018, 05:24:40 PM
ICO's also create a conflict of interest with equity holders which is a cause of concern with regulators and investors.

An investor invests $10 million to build a dApp, the team builds it and runs an ICO raising $50 million. The tokens end up more valuable than the company shares and the investors often end up with no tokens and little benefit from the ICO. Maybe the company itself folds and the token holders walk away whistling. So investors increasingly like to see tokens linked to equity in some way unless it's a DAO and the tokens are the equity. ICO's don't have to be a bad thing but the ICO industry needs to get some code of ethics because there's just too many scams out there. The company I work at is pushing for just such a thing, a code of ethics to encourage good ICO's that reward all participants fairly which in turn should lead to a stronger ICO market.

thats true equity and icos, or cryptos are in a zero sum conflict, to a cosiderable extent,

however its doubtful that a private equity holders can gain property over a token, the token might get a huge image damage through it.

All, I am a professional appraiser and have clients who hold crypto-backed assets (e.g. LP interests, pref shares, etc.)

Does anyone on this thread have similar holdings or just tokens?

specify your questions how to evaluate in usdollar?

there are countless speculating forums that try to take sense out of limited informationb
