I just saw there is a new operation available for CSGO. This will likely draw new attention to the old game again and we might see some teams coming out. I didn't read anything yet about a new tournament yet, but it might just be around the corner. What is your take on new competitve maps? Will we see some new teams dominating the old teams on these maps? It would be nice to bet on an underdog team who is very specialised in these maps.
4702  Economy / Economics / Re: More Banks maybe Closed and cryptocurrency exchangers are new way of banking on: December 04, 2020, 09:38:03 AM
I don't know how did you relate the traditional banks and the cryptocurrency exchanges and I wonder how it will replace the banking system while the real fact here is we cannot totally trust exchangers due to some hacks and any possible attacks. I also wond if there's a person can risk to put all their wealth on a platform where the security is so questionable that's why it's really hard to think about the replacement of the bank since most people prefer to put their money in traditional way because it was more secured.

The problem banks face in my country is that there is no more money being made with the savings business. Interest rates are so low that banks are paying any money on deposit anymore. Charging fees became more and more important in the last 12 months because issuing loans is also not in such a high demand. Due to the corona pandemic people cut back their spending drastically and don't really want to take out new loans.
4703  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you have $20k then where you want use it? on: December 04, 2020, 09:32:43 AM
I would invest in crypto, it is still profitable these days!
In crypto market there have many currency so if you invest in fake currency then your money can be gone. So best suggest you can buy some top currency and make some money holding in your country bank.

If you would put all the money into bitcoins right now you would only get around 1 BTC. The crypto market is still a good place to invest in but I would try to diversify across atleast 5 alt coins next to bitcoins. Also saving some money and put in an invest fund in your country is a good idea. Economic growth is expected to pick up again next year.
4704  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Corona is fake(corona panic is fake) on: December 04, 2020, 09:28:56 AM
Hi, I want to say that in Croatia they offered bribes to the parents of a girl who died in a car accident in the city of Bjelovar. They offered to pay for their funeral if they say on newspapers that she died from corona. Unfortunately, I saw a lot of similar examples in the local newspapers in the comments. I even know one a girl who works on testing people on the corona says it’s all a scam, that there’s a lot of bribery.

So because in Croatia shady business is going on the corona virus (which infected the hole world) is fake? I am sorry but that is not correct. You honestly no one who is infected by corona by now? I can't believe that.

I think there is a very simple explanation why Eastern European countries try to report higher corona numbers, because they get money from the EU. The corona relief funds supports countries which are hit the hardest by the crisis.
4705  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxless society idea on: December 04, 2020, 08:07:07 AM
Throughout its historical development, mankind has repeatedly tried to establish a more just model of building social governance.  Many rebellious masses of people and their organizers tried to establish a more just society without taxes and means of coercion.  All of them were able to exist for a very short time.  The current structure of society is the result of thousands of years of accumulated experience.  To finance public needs, able-bodied citizens must contribute in taxes.  There is no other way yet.

Taxes have been a part of western culture for thousands of years. The weren't called taxes but had different names with the same meaning. You had to give away a part of your production to the lord or king of your area, and in return he offers you protection. In todays world security and protection comes more in a financial form that with soldiers, but police is still an important part of society. Without taxes all these services couldn't be afforded.

4707  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is there anyone here who goes to the gym? on: December 03, 2020, 08:16:53 PM
Last year I was going regularly to the Gym, to either do some weights, swimming or just play some sports with friends on the open court. But not because of corona, the Gym are closed in my country. I actually stopped my membership in the beginning of the year when the first lockdown happened. The membership fee is just too high and when you can't really use it.
4708  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why I'm an atheist on: December 03, 2020, 07:58:34 PM

The 'truly religious' people would do us all a favor if they would just kill themselves and join their 'God'.

Why wait here on our miserable planet when you can join your 'God' in heaven right away?

Because it doesn't work like that. Almost all religions have a certain rules by which you need to life by. These rules determine if you are a good or bad person and only the good people will go to heaven. Killing yourself is a sin and you will not be able to go to heaven.
4709  Economy / Economics / Re: China’s digital yuan could replace bitcoin & end US dollar hegemony on: December 03, 2020, 07:32:38 PM
I do not agree that digital yuan can replace bitcoin and US Dollar, because there are no benefits that can be obtained by using digital yuan.
I am sure that only Chinese citizens will be using the digital yuan. Besides, it is not possible for many people to believe in China is a communist
and money-oriented country, after all bitcoin and US Dollar are more trusted by many people than digital yuan.
The digital yuan is primarily beneficial for the economy of China itself.  It will partially displace the cash yuan and this will reduce the cost of their issuance and maintenance.  It will also dramatically increase the efficiency of non-cash payment methods.  Most likely, it will be primarily used on the territory of China itself and to pay for trade deals with partners.  The digital yuan will increase its influence in the Asia-Pacific region, but it cannot replace the dollar, nor can it have a significant impact on bitcoin.  It will be an ordinary stablecoin of a large state.

I agree with you, for bitcoins to be replaced by the digital yuan it would take a lot of effort from many countries around the world. China alone can't end the USD hegemony or the spread of bitcoins. In my opinion the reservation towards Chinese monetary policies are still very high in western countries. As long as the Yuan is not a freely traded currency, most investors from Europe or North America would not invest in the digital Yuan.
4710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blackjack card counting at live table games? on: December 03, 2020, 06:39:17 PM

And maybe the very reason if ever someone who already exploit this strategy will never share it to anyone. Knowing that house
can easily change the system up and adjust for their benefits. It's tough and maybe the possibilities is really slim,

but knowing how gamblers behaves, they are always finding ways to grab any opportunities that might open for them.

Risk always at the side of the gamblers but once you got that particular chance, risk was worthy enough to take it.

Card counting has been around for a long time, there are books about it from the 80s teaching the skills to newcomers. The mathematical aspect of it is quite interesting and can be easily learned, but applying such a technique is quite hard in a real life setting.

It would be a cool if someone living close to a casino with a some spare time could make a field study here on the forum. Just trying out the strategy for 4 weeks and share his results with us. But you are right, if it actually works he wouldn't like post his strategy.
4711  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pfizer chief exec sold 62% of his shares. on: December 03, 2020, 06:21:31 PM

That's quite interesting. I am actually not holding any pharma stocks right now, but wanted to buy some before the vaccine was announced. Unfortunately I was too late the prices are insanely high right now. Also the CEO probably gets a lot of stock options, selling shares might just be a way for him to diversify is own portfolio.
4712  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Aliens on: December 03, 2020, 05:57:33 PM
So it's now the third monolith being found? I read about the Utah one, then one in Romania and now a third one? This can't definitely be connected. Because the one in Romania looked very different to the one in USA. It must be a prank I am pretty sure. Why has no one seen them before? And how did they actually get there? Some guys must have a good laugh when watching the news.
4713  Economy / Economics / Re: world getting ready for 2021 for final year for usa dollar i guess so on: December 03, 2020, 05:44:01 PM

only thing what i dont know are....if fiat currency value are somehow connected with real life productvity...then where does the crypto value come from ? so far cryppto value are not conncted with really real life values and productivity becouse so far the crypto value are determined and counted of the fiat currency value....
if the whole fiat based currency will be affected coused of big economic chaos...then even we want to use crypto how it will be having value ?

now id like to hear comments from people who got some economic degrees

I studied Economics at university, but with a more financial background rather than macro economics. The outlook for 2021 is actually not so bad. Allmost all countries ended up in a recession in 2020 due to the pandemic, but growth rates are expected to turn postive again. The pandemic is likely being contained with the vaccines and it seems that governments prepared their hardest hit sectors for the second wave of lockdowns. Crypto currencies are definitely a good way to store value outside of the FIAT system. But to expect the USD to end in 2021 is a bit extreme in my opinion.
4714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blackjack card counting at live table games? on: December 03, 2020, 03:59:25 PM
Has anyone tried to come up with a program that counts cards at Evolution or other live gaming providers' tables?

Whilst I understand that they generally use a crapload of decks (8 for most games, I think) and have insanely bad deck penetration, isn't it theoretically feasible to still take advantage of certain variations in the count if you monitored enough tables with an automated program?

Surely Evolution has some sort of safeguard against this that I'm missing?  Huh

The effectiveness of counting cards has deminished greatly over the last years. Casinos are well aware of the strategy and are fighting it. Using 8 decks is pretty normal for BlackJack, but the biggest drawback for counting cards are the new shuffle machines. There might still some chances for us gambler to exploit it at the moment. But once the casinos identify such automated behaviour they will likely refine their security systems.
4715  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US ELECTION, OUR FATE. on: December 03, 2020, 11:22:52 AM
Whenever I see an update on News channel or pages of social media blogs, I instantly develop cold feet.. because one of fears currently is the fear of WAR.. I just have a feeling that the present status of the US GOVERNMENT and DONALD TRUMP not conceding defeat, might lead us to the third World War..(WW3)
What's your take on this?

Don't worry so much my friend, your fear are not realistic. A third World War because of the American elections is not going to happen. You might be afraid of a civil war within USA, but that is also not very likely. Trump will transfer the power peacefully to Biden. It's not a great time to be president right now anyway because of Corona and Trade War with China. It's much easier for the Republicans to get the white house back in 4 years when Biden can't do any better than Trump.
4716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mobile wallet is more important on: December 03, 2020, 11:15:05 AM
It's becoming a frustrating issue when new project you have interest in have no mobile wallet, for over a year and half now I've waited for a project to built their mobile wallet but nothing so far, what are developers thinking? We are in an era where by mobility is the best choice for most people, who still sits in from on a computer just to send coins ? You also have to keep syncing the coin blockchain too to stay updated.

Don't blame people for not investing when you aren't making things easier for them, mobile users are much more than PC users, dear developers start considering mobile wallet pls

I agree with you, we all have smart phones to check our portfolios from anywhere. We should be able to do the same with our crypto coins. I understand the security risk for a mobile wallet are much higher, but at least we should be able to have some form of mobile interface. A PC is great and probably most of us are using it because of the pandemic and lockdown, but once the pandemic is over we will be more outside again. I wish the forum had an APP.
4717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Non-Standard Casino Games on: December 03, 2020, 11:03:07 AM

What unusual and non-standard games did you play? What are the online casinos offering something unique and fresh?
(I plan to make a consolidated list with all the suggestions you post in this thread.)

Now with December finally being here, I see a lot of daily christmas calendar offers from casinos. So you either manage to get some free spins or a non deposit cash bonus to play around. From these bonuses I played a lot of new slot machines in the last 3 days. Slot machines are usually not a non-standard game. But there such a huge variety of games which I haven't seen before.
4718  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers at work on: December 03, 2020, 10:58:17 AM
Private keys and recovery seed are supposed to be private but if you come across any online or you are a newbie that thinks that recovery seed can be find online well this is for you, it's true that recovery seed and private keys can be find online but why? Aren't this supposed to be hidden? Well some scammers are intentionally revealing their private keys and recovery seed for people like you, still curious what their aim might be?

they intentionally expose their wallet keys and once you see them you would want to track the coins that are inside, I'm sure you will see some valuable tokens, they leave the tokens to tempt you, the next thing any newbie would do is try to deposit on the wallet to move the tokens? And boom, the eth you sent isn't coming back, the instant it get deposited in the wallet address it automatically send out to another address lol 😆😆😆😆😆

I didn't come across such a scam yet. But I feel like because bitcoins are on such a rise again that we will see more and more scammers in the near future. Also because of the pandemic a lot of people work from home which is the perfect place for scammers. You can easily reach your victims and we spent much more time on the internet because we don't need to commute to work.
4719  Other / Off-topic / Re: We rise by lifting others on: December 03, 2020, 10:52:05 AM
Do you believe in helping others rise?
Our society taught us to be focused on ourselves and loved ones, religion taught us to more focused on indoctrination and diverse beliefs.
Well I'm not trying to divert your attention.. just hinting us on what the society at large has brought upon us, let's be mindful of rendering help to people in need, and ensuring that people will always be there for us or our loved ones whenever we also are in need..
What do you think?

I do believe that if we help others good things will come to us too. Karma is real in my opinion and we should all try to increase it. A healthy society is build on kindness and helping others. Don't we want that someone else helps us if we are in need? And we should just be able to return that help to others.
4720  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is a Massively Underrated Opportunity in Today’s Macroeconomy on: December 03, 2020, 10:41:16 AM
Greetings Bitcointalk!

I am very excited to share my latest long-form article called "Bitcoin is the Move". It makes a strong case on why Bitcoin is a great investment in today's macroeconomic landscape.
We all know and love BTC. Here I lay out why the recent macroeconomic shifts have made the case for it stronger and really have made it a no-brainer move for the average finance person who does not understand its intricacies and value proposition thoroughly. Presented with everything else in context, the investment looks obvious.

If you have time, I believe you will very much enjoy reading and may learn something from the piece:
https://stanislavkozlovski.medium.com/bitcoin-is-the-move-5fd5c6cfbe0c

Thanks for the article. I agree with you that bitcoins is a great long term investment. I have been holding bitcoins for years now and try to recommend my friends to do the same. Even if the rally is not going to be as good as in the past, bitcoins should be a great tool to store value.
