Everyone needs entertainment once in a while not only the rich. But the ones who got rich thru hard work and dedication is wise enough not to get into gambling. They will not waste their hard earned money thru gambling. But those who won lottery or got rich instantly, I think is more prone to gamble. They will think that they can extend their luck thru gambling.

For those people who are lucky, how long will their luck last? This is true. Since gambling is based on luck whatever amount you won today can be lost on your next bet. Or more if you keep on chasing lost money. This is the truth no matter how much you tell yourself that you can win big in gambling.

I don't know how this become a.mathematical certainty but according to experience, this is right. You may earn a lot at first but there will come a time thAt a losing streak will eat away what you have earned. So in the end, it is not profitable in the long run. But you can hit big here and there and you can stop there. But if you want this to become a stable source of income, it may not happen.

If you are betting large amounts, then I think your purpose for gambling is profit and not for entertainment. If you are gambling to pass time or entertainment, you would be satisfied betting a few satoshi or even just use the faucet to make bets.

Maybe there are some for the purpose of underground or blackmarket transactions. But you are right, most of us buy bitcoin for trading, gambling or investment. If ever we buy something thru bitcoin, we use the bitcoins we earn from sig campaign or trading but not purchased by fiat.

It all.depends on the cost of living of the person. In some countries, the cost.of living is so low that the earnings from signature campaigns can help a lot to make you survive a week. And with some extra bitcoins from goods and services offered, I think those people who belong in those countries can make a living out of bitcoin.
