481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Friends!!! Hacker stole all tokens those who recently received 0.05ETH urgently! on: August 18, 2018, 08:37:22 AM
Friends!!! Hacker stole all tokens those who recently received 0.05 ETH urgently check your wallets, withdraw all the tokens but firstly ETH !!!
This is true. A few of my friends have received 0.05 ETH a few days ago and yesterday their account has been hacked and moved tokens as well as ETH to another address. But how can a hacker do that? There are holes in the security of MEW?

As a 'member' of this forum i'm more inclined to believe you that this has happened. I can't fathom as to how this actually happened, all i can guess is that he managed to exploit a security hole in the ethereum platform via some sort of hacked smart contract, or it was checking to see if a specific token was there that acted like a trojan virus
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcointalk vs moonforum on: August 18, 2018, 08:31:04 AM
There are many other crypto based forums, some are arguable better than bitcointalk because they use modern forum applications. However, bitcointalk was started by satoshi himself so this gives more credibility to this forum and experts will stay here for serious discussions - if you can find them among the more n00bish ones
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for Japanese ICOs on: August 17, 2018, 09:14:41 PM
The Japanese have implemented bitcoin friendly rules but surprisingly there aren't many ICOs and projects that stem from Japan. One that i can think of is TELCOIN which had a successful ICO and is now doing development to bring crypto via mobile networks (without internet). Currently trading on kucoin, and starting to make impressive business connections
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience is a virtue but how much patience do you have? on: August 17, 2018, 09:10:53 PM
I don't have much patience but i do have understanding so selling right now is just madness. Invest and forget a few months and see what happens, it helps if you stop checking blockfolio and simply read the crypto news instead. At least you know what is happening in the market without seeing all that red
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KANZHANG EXCHANGE on: August 17, 2018, 09:04:31 PM
I recommend you use the other threads to advertise your exchange and token. Put a new thread in the ANN section in altcoins, and the twitter campaign in the bounty section. for better results outsource it to an experienced bounty manager so you can focus on finding private investors for a presale.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto market is all time low on: August 17, 2018, 09:02:00 PM
The only thing you need right now is patience, unless you are a skilled trader that can predict when the pumps and dips are going to occur it is best to just hodl and wait for the market to recover. It usually starts around September so there isn't long to go, just a bit of good news will start the bulls and it will get to 10k again
487  Economy / Economics / Re: The Mysterious Chinese Bitcoin Whale Hoarded 94,000 BTC on: August 16, 2018, 09:35:45 PM
The wallet in question is still holding those 94k bitcoins so must be a hodler rather than a mt gox dumper. One thing for sure is that this person is gonna be a zillionaire in future when bitcoin really takes off. I'd be very happy if i had 94 bitcoins let alone 94k! Im' sure there are eyes on that fat one, lets hope he doesn't spill any blood any time soon
488  Economy / Economics / Re: Newbies panic & Old timers smile, when the Bitcoin price take a dip. on: August 16, 2018, 09:30:12 PM
One of the reasons why bounty hunters do these campaigns is because they don't have the funds to buy bitcoin. Some visitors to this forum do not have a U.S style salary that affords them to buy bitcoin at these crazy low prices. Only hope is to earn lots of altcoins through a bounty campaign and either hodl it or trade for bitcoins.
489  Economy / Economics / Re: Almost 80% of US workers live from paycheck to paycheck. Here's why on: August 16, 2018, 09:26:53 PM
Trump is bringing manufacturing back to the States so that will open up the jobs market even more but to lower skilled and lower paid workers. Crypto will bring employment to higher skilled workers such as IT developers and exchange investors. The law needs to ease up a little and let crypto into the country to boost the American economy
490  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain and Medicine in Africa on: August 11, 2018, 05:28:10 PM
The application of blockchain to medicine is helpful in Africa. Procurement of personnel and other medical equipment is needed by the people of Africa. We will know how the blockchain technology will be developed. I hope this will continue, not just in Africa but other poor countries

Blockchain technology would be a big help to prevent counterfeit drugs being sold in the black market. But then we should take into account first the most basic problem in Africa which would be lack of needs like clean water and technology too. They would have a hard time using blockchain technology if they would not have a stable connection to have the transactions. Regarding the medicine, some private companies take advantage of the opportunity to deliver counterfeit drugs because more often than not, it cannot be detected but through blockchain technology, there would be transparency and the transactions can be traced.

This is the article related to the situation of the medicinal sector in Africa. http://allafrica.com/stories/201711160493.html

As I quote:

Quote
Nevin said NAFDAC has pioneered several authentication technologies targeted at fighting counterfeit drugs. He said on the back of technology adoption, circulation of counterfeit medicines dropped from 40 per cent in 2001 to 16.7 percent in 2015. The economist said a new mandatory method called "mass serialization," often combined with "track-and-trace" requirements, is becoming the worldwide standard for regulators in securing the supply chain.

If you need a blockchain solution to prevent counterfeit drugs look no further than farmatrust. Hard cap was reached and has some very impressive backing including someone from the UK government. ICO has just finished so you can bag some cheap FTT now from any early dumpers: https://www.farmatrust.com/
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to choose a new coin on: August 11, 2018, 02:07:59 PM
Check if there is on going development and that the roadmap is being fulfilled. If not then pick another coin as there are likely to be issues with the back-end staff. If the community is large then it is a good investment, demand will always be there to support the coin
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC hodlers l on: August 11, 2018, 01:41:54 PM
Litecoin is an old currency that is full of whales, this means the price can be manipulated by many different old school investors. I would switch to a newer currency that offers greater functionality as LTC is just a payment coin with no real purpose
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Trx or Neo quick return on: August 11, 2018, 01:38:40 PM
TRX is all about hype and people like to invest in it, for quick gains i would go for tron as Justin Sun is a great marketer. However, if you want bug long term gains then pick NEO as it has much better potential and you can collect GAS tokens for holding it in your wallet
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Marijuana coins in 2018 on: August 11, 2018, 01:35:41 PM
Marijuana coins are a waste of time unless it has great privacy features. If not then simply use monero or deeponion to pay for it. If you live in Amsterdam or another place where it is openly traded then you can just buy with bitcoin like everyone else.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO - Will China lift ICO ban? NEO price? on: August 11, 2018, 01:32:10 PM
NEO is not just a Chinese crypto currency, it is used globally in every country. The developers are largely based in China but that does not mean anything in crypto. The technology makes it superior to ethereum and that will make it rise in value, especially as more great ICO projects are released on it

497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Bull is Coming! on: July 12, 2018, 07:27:19 PM
The foundation is being laid to push crypto to new heights. It is with these new institutional investors that the bull run will start to pump. The bull is indeed coming and it moves so fast that if you're not already in the game, you will lose
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin ETF Announcement August 10 - How will it affect Bitcoin? on: July 12, 2018, 07:25:33 PM
The bitcoin twins have trying to get approval for a long time but hopefully this guy will succeed where they others have failed. Accumulating now before it is agreed shold be everyone's plan, otherwise the boat will leave and never come back
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people believe and invest in fraudulent ICO? on: July 10, 2018, 06:46:01 PM
It's because the scammers are getting more sophisticated and so it's easier to trick the investors into thinking it's a real project. ICOs are still very profitable so if a good one can be found then there is a lot of coin to made from these investments
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is gas fee so high? on: July 10, 2018, 06:42:50 PM
It's due to a lack of competition at this particular moment causing too many people to use ethereum. When ICOs start to use NEO or LISK instead then ethereum will calm down and run more smoothly with less projects on it.
