For those who are still "confused", let me repeat again:
XC claimed to have implemented multisig. If this is true, then it is trivial to provide some multisig addresses with multisig tx associated with them, that we can see and inspect in the blockchain.
Saying implemented multisig but unable to provide even one multisig address? That dev provided some links deemed to be multisig transactions, but we don't even see one single multisig address there. He keep talking m-of-m (a joke for those who know what is multisig for), and provided regular addresses as multisig addresses, do you think he knows anything about multisig?
Some community members just show what a true XC multisig address look like. Now if you continue claim XC has it, show everyone the address and tx in the blockchain. Nothing is simpler, and let's not waste our (and everyone's) time by arguing. There's nothing to argue here, just show the facts! Experts know what you are talking about.
OK, so we are clear then that XC is using multisig and the OP is FUD. Thanks for clearing that up. Synechist (who posted the transactions) is not a dev, he is PR, so I guess he made a mistake. (I dont know, Im not technical either) I can assure you Dan (ATC Secure) Knows exactly what he is doing code wise. |

did they actually claim that XC can't make multisig addresses, only to go ahead and create themselves? So they disproved their initial FUD only to make synechist look bad? I am code illiterate and thats what I gather from that, so I believe most people like me will think pretty much the same... They are ridiculing themselves.. FUD attempt 2/10, must try harder to get the XC FUD seal of approval. This is what I gathered from their posts, but still they are claiming we are not using multisig  I too am code illiterate, would be good if someone could set them straight, then maybe post it in the very first reply so we can ignore it from then on. |

OK, for those from XC who never seen a real XC multisig address, let me show you what it is, and you can tell me if there are any exist today on the blockchain  All the one posted in the above links by synechist are regular XC addresses, they are not multisig addresses, why? because XC's multisig address starts with 4, not X. I downloaded XC wallet, and from there in console, I created 2 multisig addresses. I used these 3 private-public key pairs: public key: 033942099d7fb91a51b0e2899040c36cf5337002f43b2e80ec3afe3c81cbb5a3db private key: X35fMeU3c159SX4tWVnA7ZW7DxTyw7BCqEmt92Nw5N87kezytJSZ public key: 02733ae45bf1d7fc5b24dcdbf54c0dd2b106a39233e65cdb47fd0fd925734f4b83 private key: X7oy79myB5WmKXAjey6oZPfo12BHmwRfD9k4rmL2oYUMdjff48NU public key: 02307e5d3924fa8d95093ed61bfa4ecb4bf108196013ee1de466589bcf3fb212b8 private key: X2z4smxErHnkVBZnWzfPMDMNdMvD3mAnB7w7YD1BFeppf3iqUyWJ these pairs are derived from the addresses I have. Looks like they've been cheating all the way along (consciously or unconsciously).Multisig addresses usually start with a different letter than their regular address. For example, Bitcoin's regular address starts with "1", its multisig address starts with "3". Supercoin's regular address starts with "S", its multisig address starts with "C". Mammothcoin's regular address starts with "M", its multisig address starts with "b". etc. For XC, its regular address starts with X and multisig address starts with "4". Everyone can create a multisig address using XC client and verify yourself. XC devs, please explain the facts and stop cheating!! Synechist is not XC Dev for a start. We need to be 100% careful, hackers are targeting all crypto. Fully agree. We should all urge devs on this as a top priority. Hard to overvaluate them... ...Also xc official homepage isn't very friendly, the slide down buttons may be gimmicky but it is covering the other links ... Right. But I can live with that. XC claimed to be trustless using multisig, can someone point to me some multisig addresses and transactions in the blockchain explorer? I see Mammothcoin test reports published some of their multisig addresses/tx, that I can verify through block explorer. Can I do the same for XC?

A whitepaper is something XC desperately needs... especially with coins like mammoth and supercoin claiming to soon have the first decentralized trustless anon solution (that uses multisig). XC has had this already available for over a month. I agree brother. I'm of the opinion we are too gentle with the competition. We should do a thorough competitive analysis of us compared to other anon coins. New investors and people who don't read this forum frequently get lost in the sea of alt coins claiming to be anon/anonexchange!/EM!/trustless and for vast majority of them it's complete bullshit. Excuse my french. Perhaps we should leave out the more established anon coins e.g. DRK and Monero and focus on the ones that peddle false promises and delayed functionality. I mean I just read the VOOT topic, are they FOR REAL? The topic title is "anon exchange released" and yet 50 pages later still no anon exchange released. Then there is Mammoth coin spreading lies about Dan's tech, saying it's not trustless when it was trustless as proved by the blockchain since 7/7/2014. Time to take off the kid gloves I think and come out fighting. Most coins in our position would be bashing all these pretenders... not with FUD but with facts! I agree with this. We need to have a transparent, facts-based comparison to other coins with similar offerings. It's like it's taboo to even mention other coins. XC doesn't exist in a vacuum. There needs to be perspective and context. We want an influx of intelligent investors. Guess what what intelligent investors do? They compare. Why not make it simple for them? Many of us have been championing XC for so long that I sometimes think it's difficult for us to view things from the perspective of an impartial, curious investor. I feel our community is mature enough to pull this off in a manner that does not promote the spread of fud, just the facts. Hows about, in the future if anyone comes across a thread claiming things that are untrue, they post the link in this thread, and we reply with the facts, politely, and set them straight. (this is what i have basically been doing if i see any bullshit on other threads) Most other threads I have come across are filled with posts of people just giving each other abuse and going off on one. If we reply maturely, any serious investor is gonna know where to go believe me G-bert... we tried... but a so called dev with a self-mod thread is not happy with xc-facts... so he delete's them things turned ugly so we stopped... useless to argue with a stubborn guy. we know he was talking BS Yeah, I did see that.
