Don't! CPU miner isn't good ( at this moment) since CryptoNight has an ASIC, and I'm not sure about another CPU-based Algorithm. But with that price, seem nonsense to buy and mine cois with it. D3 would be a better choice. At least At this moment. |

I guess it doesn't have a modded bios:  Does it? With 21 Mhs +++ after Compute mode, seem like your card running at stock bios. For make sure, use AB and set it to a default setting then take the pic, post here. Error 43, most caused by a driver issue. Yes, you can try to patch the driver (even when you are running on stock bios). Or, load different driver (I suggesting blockchain version) for manually updating your 580 (4GB). |

Well that sucks, new born crypto has moved to a paid service. Understandable for them i suppose, alot of research goes into this sorta mining.
Hello, Yes, newborncryptocoin had to move to a paid service but for a low fee 2usd/month for tables access and 5usd for table access + newcoins list delivered to your mailbox everytime we update the list. The problem was that there were no donations as you can guess. Of course it takes alot of time everyday to find (and it's a one person website lol), add coins and do maintenance but you also have to add the server cost, template and plugins costs and with making 0$ it never paid the domain, the server, or anything. So sadly no choice there. But I still hope to have the community suppport and see you there Happy mining everyone ! It's okay. Nothing wrong with paid services, mainly you have to work alone. Your daily job must be hard, trying to find the new-born coins, adding it to your web. May you need to do maintenance each week/month, pay the server bill each month/years and pay domain for every year, seem fair enough with paid service. |

Good job! Maybe people who always ask what coins are best to be mined will be a bit disappointed with this post. They want specific, coins name, the best pool to mine it, and even they will asking " how-to-do". You're forgetting the most important thing they ask for after being given all the info end explanation: "please give me the bat file" Oh yeah, thanks for adding. I can confirm that this method could be profitable given the right circumstances. You have to pick the right coins and sell at the right time. Some people at our local mining scene have been doing this and sharing his results with us. He paid for his 1080ti rig in a month using this technique.
This guy that you are talking about, doing solo mining? Or pooled mining? Sound like this guy do solo mining with low hashrate coins, right? I think it all depends on finding good coins in the announcement section. Maybe a channel like slack or discord for doing it.

It could also be about profit. I think about a 1/3 of the 1500 coins out there seem to randomly pump.

Are you seriously expecting to receive an answer to that question? Profits are low these days, and I'm afraid no one will share coins with good profits. You have to search yourself I think this forum is all about sharing and advising the young buddies who are new or have any difficulties. So people who are into mining and that too cpu mining would love to share their advice with others and help many other people who may have similar queries in their mind. What ivakar said has a secret message. It's kind advice since mine the coins that mined by many miners, mean you mine unprofitable coin. And I make it clear in my post before. Try to find CPU-based coins with this criteria:
The coin with low difficulty, low global hashrate, with a "Big" blocks reward, and with good price at the market. It must be the most profitable coin that you were asking.

I got a 5 gpu mining rig working but when I try to add one more the computer didn't boot.
What cards type you are using? How about PSUs wattage? Have you tried to check Risers, may be loose in its socket? A lot of question may be asked to you OP, except you give us more information related to your problems. |

Hey guys/gals,
My case did arrive after approximately 3 weeks. I never got a response, but the item shipped from China and arrived safely. It looks pretty sturdy, the lid was slightly warped but I was able to bend it to where it needed to be. My next step is to move everything from open air rig into the 4U server case. My extra credit project is to vent the exhaust heat outside via duct during the warm weather months (which will be here very soon).

I doubt some of these small blockchains are even circulating. There could be a thread where dev's of them request hashrate. It's kind of like a lot of great little businesses go out of business because there is no way to sound the alarm they need support. The community loves them but people with money don't think to keep them afloat. Oh ic, that's proof coins with a solid community can survive, look at Dogecoin, for example, with its price, Dogecoin still alive until this day. We can't deny that Dogecoin is a bronze coin, but without solid community they are nothing. Sound like this isn't about profit, right? This is about hows small coins network keep alive with creating a place where the Dev can requesting Hashrate. |
