There are so many greedy people out there that HATE to see new people jump in on this mining stuff cause it does cut into their profits.

We all started as newbs.  You draw a lot of the negative feedback yourself (at least from me) with comments like the "rich get rich, poor get poorer" garbage.  People with capital take risks.  You honestly expect to make as much money as someone like gigavps (who probably has 100x the amount invested in BTC)?   It's clear that you're in this for a quick buck - and that's it.  No questions about supporting Bitcoin or improving it, its "wherez my free moneeyz."

Your $1,300 investment won't arrive until October (if your lucky).  I suggested in my earlier post that you get out of the game now - its not a get-rich-quick scheme.

Rich getting richer, poorer getting poorer.  Smiley

Gotta be in it to win it.

Opentoe: the only winning move for you is not to play.
484  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL doesn't return money for preorder (ASIC minirig - 30.000$)! on: July 13, 2012, 03:07:24 AM
I'm failing to see why BFL has to refund your order because you have personal issues.

Right.  Can you imagine doing this with a $15,000 car purchase?

Could you imagine prepaying 100% of a car and getting it in six months? and it might perform like a car Tongue

Ok, so maybe not a $15k car... Add a couple hundred thousand (and six months)

No kidding.  How many days since your order, ice?
488  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ["WAIT LIST"] BFL Singles Order Date / Ship Date on: July 10, 2012, 05:14:23 PM

bad news:

One more question to you: Why did the parcel contain a warranty certificate for the device Rev. 1? However, in the letter dated of Wed, Apr 11, 2012 at 6:46 AM you informed me about shipping of Rev. 3 only.

That seems to be a doc error, see earlier response in thread. Regarding the single, I hope you  will get it back soon.
I believe he will never see it again Sad. My condolences.

I wish I could be a fly on the wall at whatever Russian Gulag is dissecting that Single...

I have an interest in the outcome, so I won't comment or complain on the decision on seller.

I'll do 39BTC for two, I'll go first, and I can have the BTC in your wallet upon your "go".

Are the remaining 5 up for grabs or are you waiting on Leezyist?

No problem.  If the deal falls through PM me.  thanks!

38BTC for two shipped? Should be right around your price target.  Would you be able to mail this weekend?

495  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: EasyMiner - new version with Auto speed tuning on: June 28, 2012, 04:21:49 AM
I'm downloading the auto-tune package now, but the easyminer link still appears to be dead.

Checking....     OK, fixed.

Confirmed working.  Some are taking longer to process than others, but so far so good. The one that finished auto tuned at 896Mh.  Does the auto tune automatically install the firmware or must I o it manually?  Thanks!

497  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFLs ASIC == BTC doomsday? on: June 27, 2012, 01:38:41 AM
I wish there was more competition for ASiC products.  It's been a pyramid, with CPU as the base, then $200-$400 AMD video cards.  A handful (like 5?) companies then make FPGAs, now BFL is the apex predator at the very top of the pyramid.  So, as the apex predator, they can make you wait as long as they want, pay as much as they want, not respond to emails/ phone calls, etc.

I only think ASIC will spell doomsday if this monopoly lasts after BFL rolls out the SC devices.  People in all other areas of the pyramid will simply get frustrated and leave Bitcoin, IMO.  You'll have only early adopters with plenty of disposable income citing over transaction fees.

Full disclosure: I own five singles and have pre ordered one SC single.

I understand what BFL is saying when they want to give Bit-Pay the first round of pre-orders.  But why would they also accept bank wire transfers?  Are they doing it just because those are the two non-reversible payment options?  They can obviously take Pay-Pal because they take it on there other products.  Seems really sketchy to me.  I can't believe this many people are willing to throw money at BFL without even so much as a picture of what they are buying.

Seriously. I mean, have they even shipped any real products yet? And if they did, they probably only shipped those products to gain people's confidence so they'd make a huge haul and then disappear.

Where's my tinfoil hat.

If they were gonna drop hat and run, why would they ship 60k worth of Mini-Rigs days before opening the Preorders? And yes, I did just answer both of your questions at once.

I'll field that one.  If I sell out of all my FPGA inventory and plan on skipping town, what better way than to promise a game-changing product that won't be shipped until October (at best).  Right now they have over 150 orders, each of them at least $150.  Some are probably in the thousands of dollars.

I'm still stunned that I paid $1299 for a product that does almost the same Ghash as a $30k product that shipped less than a month ago

A worst case scenario -

For what it's worth, Ive got five singles running, five on the way.  The thought of sending 7k to upgrade them all didn't sit well, so I did one only.
