481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you possess any bitcoin? where do you prefer spending them? on: June 21, 2017, 08:06:20 PM
Unfortunately, first of all, there are not many opportunities to spend bitcoins. And in addition to it, the most of things where bitcoin could be spent are illegal

It's just the stuff that you came across because I used btc to buy some gift cards and rdp accounts which were totally legal and 100% usable.

As for the OP, first of all please move the thread to the suitable section.

Have you bought or secured some Bitcoins with you?

Literally everyone on this forum has bought or is trying to buy some bitcoins.

Have you done some trading with them?

That's difficult and unpredictable.

What all do you think a person can do with the Bitcoins? What do you think could probably be the future market of bitcoins?

These two questions are way too generic.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if ETH fall to zero? on: June 21, 2017, 06:40:52 PM
ETH is just one of the many altcoins available on the market.
It's far unlikely to drop to zero just like that, but it's just one of the altcoins available in the market.

Other altcoins will be affected ? YES
Bitcoin ? NOT REALLY.

But it's still not that simple to happen. It's the second biggest crypto currency after bitcoin.

483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pump'n'dump notifications: is it really that innovative? on: June 21, 2017, 06:36:04 PM
Well I actually used it for two weeks and it's actually quite useful.
Not that it predicts every single price change but when it does send me a signal it happens.

I didn't actually invest in it nor thinking about it. I'd prefer to sit away and watch what's gonna happen next.
484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: wtf? Blockchain transaction fees is outrageous!!! on: June 21, 2017, 10:21:37 AM
You must have done something wrong.
There's no way that the default fees is that much !
I'm still using the 220 sat/byte fees till this day and it's working just fine getting confirmed in an hour max.

If you show us the tx id we'd clearly see that you by mistake entered a high amount of BTC in fees section (or increased the priority bar if that's a thing )
485  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Micro Earning websites affected because of high transaction fees?? on: June 21, 2017, 10:17:30 AM
Well most of these sites are not profitable anymore. I actually ran a faucet myself a year ago (when the price was way more stable than now ) but I ended up shutting it down since the ad revenue was less than what I paid out to the users.

The increase in btc price of course affected this kinda sites greatly since they have to deal with smaller and smaller amounts of satoshis making it harder to process small withdrawals and paying the tx fees.
486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is declining as top crypto currency. Why? on: June 21, 2017, 09:58:56 AM
Why do you guys think Bitcoin is declining in popularity? Looks like Ethereum will pass it. What can Bitcoin do to maintain number 1?

It's not. You just think that it is. The fact that it has a few problems that have to be solved and are hopefully going to be solved soon.

If you want to compare cryptocurrencies as bitcoins and ether and say that btc is declining, let's compare their usage.
BTC is way way more popular in shops and stores. In how many shops can you use other cryptos ?

Altcoins do and will always exist side by side with bitcoins but it would never be replaced (my very own opinion)
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Server case for gpu mining on: June 18, 2017, 05:36:57 PM
What's wrong if you move them to a data center and still keep them open?
As far as I know that's much better for air flow.

Any way you need a case like the one used in the panda miner.

https://www.google.com.eg/search?q=panda+miner+case&client=firefox-b-ab&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiltImp98fUAhUBthoKHQBZBV4QsAQIOQ&biw=1366&bih=635
488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where are we going with cryptocurrency? on: June 18, 2017, 06:50:29 AM
As soon as majority of the world is informed and knows about digital currency

Well I think every country that has access to internet tv heard about bitcoins at least once.
But the thing is people are afraid of new things (as always). They prefer to do things the same way they have always done it.

It's almost only traders and tech-savies are the ones who are interested in it.
The easier it becomes to be used by an average user, the more it gets used.

That's besides the fact that a lot of authorities haven't commented about it which makes people more skeptic about it.
489  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Cloudmining for Investors? on: June 16, 2017, 03:21:08 AM
(According to my own experience) Cloud mining is not profitable at all !
All the money that I invested in ended up giving me less money than my initial investment.
I tried many and different platforms till I came up with the summary that Cloud mining is a plane scam.

Why would anyone rent out the miners if he can get more with them if he mined ? (Makes sense right ? )

So, I don't recommend it at all.

Good Luck
490  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Attention please."Epay.com" is not "Epay.info" on: June 14, 2017, 05:53:09 AM
I don't think they are even close ?

When I used faucets I used epay.info and it was a faucet payment processor. So users didn't have to deposit any money into it (except if they were faucet owners) to pay the site visitors.

While your site (epay.com) doesn't seem to have any thing in common with it ?
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do I need specific graphics cards to mine certain altcoins? on: June 14, 2017, 05:40:58 AM
Of course you can but mining is all about maximizing the profits from your hardware.
That's why people suggest specific gpu that give you max profits with the coins that you intend to mine.

Basically eth is good with amd and zec with nvidia.
Why? I have no idea but I just know that this is how it is. Cheesy
492  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Accidentally sent LTC to BTC address on: June 14, 2017, 05:34:37 AM
Actually this is actually possible in the old version of addresses.
Look at this address for example : 37vkZLnC5ggWqoRojCsLZLaEUYzrfh7mdW

This is actually a BTC address AND a Litecoin address as well.

https://ltc.blockr.io/address/info/37vkZLnC5ggWqoRojCsLZLaEUYzrfh7mdW

https://blockr.io/address/info/37vkZLnC5ggWqoRojCsLZLaEUYzrfh7mdW

And a guy actually sent by mistake to it (a year ago) and they're stuck there till now.

So check if that btc address that you sent to exists as a ltc address itself or not.
493  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Why are popular bitcoin faucet supplying us with a low amount of btc? on: June 14, 2017, 05:21:12 AM
Basically faucets are to be used by newbies who want to try how the bitcoin network works. It's not really considered as any type of income or anything like that (since they give out small amounts).

Anyway since the price of btc is relatively high than it used to be a month or two ago (and faucets don't really make that much money) they need to lower it down to keep profiting.
494  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best wallet to receive bitcoin from a merchant ? on: June 13, 2017, 12:13:49 AM
Well, there are two things.

1- When someone sends you bitcoins you're actually sent that certain amount of bitcoins and not $.
2- it'd be better if you have your own wallet maybe an online wallet such as Blockchain or an offline wallet like Multibit.

You shouldn't receive directly to an exchange especially if it's big amount(due to notorious activity of popular exchanges in the past - try googling mt gox scam)
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to start mining ETH with AMD + windows 10 on: June 13, 2017, 12:06:08 AM
The best gpu miner right now in terms of  hash rate if Claymore's.

Try installing it and using it.
You should also bios mod the cards if you want more hash rate. Try ocerclocking, undervolting the cards till you reach what exactly suits you.
MSI Afterburner or sapphire trixx to do these.

You really can find tutorials for how to do everything everywhere on google and youtube.
Just search for ehat you need
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptos are most used as money / a cash alternative? on: June 11, 2017, 10:31:45 PM
There is a lot currencies around but the only ones that I see in action are BTC and LTC.

Maybe also DOGE but in case of tipping only.
All of the other coins aren't really used but hold a value from trading against btc.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BURST mining: Configs, pools, stats etc on: June 11, 2017, 10:29:24 PM
Hi.
I'm actually into burst mining as well but won't get into it before a month or two from now.

I actually found this list of pools http://burstcoin.cc/pool
And this is a forum specially for burst so yeah I guess it'd be helpful (especially the mining & plotting section)

498  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: June 11, 2017, 10:25:09 PM
I first heard about bitcoins a few years ago when I testing out what ptc sites where and how (or actually if) any money out of them.
I don't exactly remember what happened but I stumbled upon an article that said I could earn money through bitcoins.

And that was the start for "wait what's that thing called bitcoins ?"
The second thing I remember doing was finding this forums and reading a lot here and there before finally signing up to ask some questions.
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the threshold of electric cost that makes mining pointless? on: June 09, 2017, 01:12:20 PM
$0.17/kW is a lot. It's high (really high).

A normal 6 gpu mining rig would cost about $100 a month just in electricity. Which is $100 cut in earnings (which is longer time to ROI)
There's no such thing as threshold, just do your calculations and see if it's fine for you.

It's about $0.03/kW where I alive and I'm building my first rig because it's so cheap.

Btw refer to this site to do any kinda similar calculations:
You choose your cards, electricity cost and it tells you how much you'd earn per day.

500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about rumors that bitcoin is going to die? on: June 09, 2017, 12:58:15 PM
Well, no worries mate. These rumors have been there since day 1.
Since back in 2013 people would still say the same thing every single year and guess what ? It's still alive and has an ever-increasing value.
