AFAIK they are trustworthy - I have personally spoken with the guy behind it, but the whole ASIC scene is hard to judge at the moment now.... Can't tell you if it's worth it or not.

Think what you like mate you're clearly not a bidder so I couldn't care less. The winner gets full rights over the miner that is associated with my account.
I am an honest person looking for some honest money so me and the girlfriend will have somewhere to live at the end of the month.
Your problem here is that BFL won't change shipping addresses. They're not admitting to changing addresses for people who have moved, and the email queue is so backed up that you might not get info amended in time for your move. It's recommended you have mail forwarded. With this in mind the risk to the purchaser is that it gets dropped off at your old address and stolen or it takes another week to get redirected to your new address and another week to them, resulting in it maybe arriving at the same time as BFL gets near the end of the order queue and they might as well have ordered direct. No worries with my old address. I am the only one moving, 5 of my friends are staying here for another year. One is a fellow miner and he knows the score... I can pick up my mail any time. It's not like I'm moving country, just counties

the exciting two weeks that will follow. There goes my beauty sleep for the next couple of weeks!

One thing I've wondered from Yifu's recent updates: He mentions scaling to a few thousand machines.... AFAIK batch #2 was 600 units and batch #3 900 units? How many trade-ins were there then?
Seems our difficulty estimates may be off a bit if a few thousand avalons are to be shipped in the coming months...

Got mail from Avalon: Not quiet ready yet, but since we did promise an update over the weekend, here's a sneak peak of the exciting two weeks that will follow. For those who did not see Yifu Guo's panel at the conference can check it out below http://youtube.com/watch?v=LY1xgGiejIc | http://youtube.com/watch?v=UtVx26LlNXAhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD237oF7cCoLet's get started. First, there will be no power supply cable included in the box, you will have to acquire you own, it is an standard ATX power cable, get the socket for your country, we did this to save time allowing all the packaging of the Avalons to be uniform. To summarize and recap the talk at the conference: Scaling from few hundred units that we had a few month to prepare for into a few thousand units in less than a month have proven difficult, we must admit that we have bite off more than we can chew and suffering from "third-party dates", which are ever-changing. We are playing catch up and expect to soon see the light at the end of this tunnel. Facts: New SMT line is now fully operational as of this weekend. New shipping channel secured and tested. Sample chips has began shipping. Majority of all the parts have arrived and ready, which also means we finally will have time to go over tickets, and send out those trade-in payment emails. What you can expect in the next newsletter should consist of the following: photo tour of the new Avalon factory, the operating crew, which have doubled in size, assembling. piles and piles of packaged Avalons ready to ship. Sit tight, it won't be long now. Got this too, excited!

Think what you like mate
Okay, I don't *like* thinking like this, but I will think as I please, thank you, especially when the auction violates eBay's TOS and you admitted to not selling the rig but just a "login" to the site. This is clearly a case of you 'putting words in my mouth'. You decided yourself that I am a scammer and I am only selling my login....

You know it's against eBay TOS (and Paypal as well) to sell items you don't already have in your possession, right?
I am selling my account login as far as anyone's concerned, digital goods. So you're not selling the rights to the mining rig, and can contact BFL at any time claiming your account was hacked and have the shipping address changed to your address again? That sounds pretty shady, like people who sell a "photo of a _____" instead of the product. Think what you like mate you're clearly not a bidder so I couldn't care less. The winner gets full rights over the miner that is associated with my account. I am an honest person looking for some honest money so me and the girlfriend will have somewhere to live at the end of the month.
