Try the blockchain.info
Many users here in forum does not recommend blockchain.info wallet. Because they are having issue and probably users can lost any bitcoins. Also the bitcoin.org website has removed blockchain.info wallet from their web wallet choices. The best reading on why it's not good for storage of lots of BTC is going to be reading of HOT/COLD wallets. Read up on them. Blockchain is a very nice wallet for spending money, that is what it shines doing. Storing large sums of BTC over a long period of time is where cold wallets really shine.

You need to format the SD card before using it with Win32 Disk Imager which I prefer. The best free formatter is from SD themselves.. here: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/After that you will need the image... ZoomHash has one and so does Dogie. ZoomHash image for S4: http://p.lewd.es/antminer-s4-3-12-15.img.gz There are new posts of new experimental S4 images here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=940250.0The problems you are having are common. It's hard on the SD cards file system to shut off/on with the psu. Just like it would be for your computer....BSOD! Your card could be damaged but I doubt it. **Just be aware the original psu's are to blame for most of your problems possibly. Try and reinstall your image again. Are the login details different on the zoomhash image? root/admin isn't letting me in. Does anyone have a link to Doggies latest image? Or can i just copy from the working SD to the new SD? (That sounds plausible I'll look into that) Have you tried a image from Bitmain? I'm not sure what zoomhash did to theirs (if anything). But I would grab a official bimain image from them. If you messed it up where you cannot get into it and did not backup in this thread there is a few images of backups but you might have to dig to find it.

Hello everybody Thanks for your answers. But if usb hub needed for U3's you can use cheap no power usb hubs to RPI. And you will have no issues with it.
In fact, i bought a GekkoScience Compac recently. The device arrived at the forwarding company warehouse and is in transit to Europe. I can't wait, but i should get it soon I had the felling that i will have more fun with the compac rather than the Antminer U3. That beeing said, i might have more difficulties in finding the right USB Hub, taking into account the Raspberry and the Gekko specifications. Regarding the softwares, can you please let me know if my understandings are correct: 1) the official cgminer software should work, but novak wrote a custom cgminer for the compac and it's better to use it. 2) Minera is a software that can be used to monitor the device. Since i registered to Slush's pool i didn't really need Minera. However, Minera will useful if i join the more confidential sidehack stick pool. Binaries can be downloaded, but it is adivised to compile the source code with the right options. Am i right? Cheers, Jeff. 1) is 100 percent correct Novak did a amazing job with compac-cgminer. It works great if you have a RPI to throw it on it's even better. 2) Not really Minera is like a miner OS for dummies (no offense to anyone using it). It has great nice gui's, and there is a image that supports the copmpac. So it really deepens on no 2 on what OS you want to run on a RPI.

If you have VERY low electric cost (3cent/KWH ballpark), you can mine and have a good chance to achieve RoI on the S7 (and the upcomming Avalon 6) under recent conditions. It appears that the upcomming Lketc/BW.com unit might be even better (mostly due to lower projected cost), but the pricing on that one is still uncertain and availability is still up in the air.
If you build it right and have fairly low electric cost (under 7c/KWH, perhaps a little higher), you can mine DASH profitably with a GPU rig (but the RoI will take well over a year even with 3cent electric, assuming recent conditions of DASH don't change).
I've not done a calc on Litecoin lately, other than on my existing Gridseed Blades (which are a hair under break-even currently with 6.7cent electric, gonna be shutting them down once I hit my next payout from my pool). Anything noticeably more efficient like the Alcheminer (and clones), the A2 based miners, and especially Titans should be profitable at 10cent electric but RoI might be problematic if you don't already have the gear.
Chances of ROIing on a GPU rig are pretty slim I think anymore. The coins are just not worth enough to make a profit over electriciity where a substantial amount is there to pay off card's. You might find a coin now and then to profit from but I don't see ROI happening. The hope I have is Lketc/BW is cheap like it should be. Not sure if this will happen or not, but it would be nice if they did. Part of reason is bitmain has a track record of lowering to try to beat competition.... so good for miners.

I don't think any of these companies price their products properly. Why? Cause people used to buy them for 10k+ no questions asked. Now? Everyone is buying out or trying to milk it.
Avalon6 is overpriced. Won't doubt it if the S7 lite price makes people think twice, too.
People accept the 4month ROI. It's easy to price everything accordingly.
Their target market are people with established and profitable rigs looking to upgrade in bulk not people trying to buy one for fun or hobbyist who view this as a lottery attempt. You're better off taking your cash to the actual lottery unless you're shelling out at least 5k.
Your forgetting price of BTC during some of the purchases. Like when I purchased my dragon at the time I felt i spent a ton on it.... but BTC was worth a good amount so it seemed fair. But miners were not cheap during start of asics. It was 3 month ROI on most GPU rigs... and that ended and time is now much much longer to ROI. Also power has changed it's moving more twords what I call hobby mining. It's getting more and more where you need a area for miners. With them getting bigger, louder, and more powerful it's hard to slap one in a room anymore. Things are changing. I think hobby miners will do fine for foreseeable future, home miners wanting to put in a room they use going down in numbers. I would love to see how many people run under 500GH/s today and their actual return compared to the environmental impact.... errr... cost of electricity. As well as the effect on the network hash rate and difficulty. Plus with credit card companies and banks investing? People are banking for a spike they already missed lol But I'm not an analyst. I'm just watching and waiting. I think it all comes down to the amount of profit for the maker. Bigger machine = bigger profit (in most cases). I personally don't mind loud and powerful since I have a mining area. Home miners the ones with limited room and limited electricity will be the one's who are hurting for new gear I think. I don't see many of these being able to be used as a quiet heater in a room. Just to loud so it's really for a different market.

Those are firmware upgrades, not complete images ( correct me if I'm wrong). They get upgraded through the GUI interface from your S4 not written to the SD card. Well at least not written by you. I'm not sure which one that is by title of download. But with S4 the nice thing is you can write directly to SD from a backup and stick SD back in S4 and it works. It's good if playing around with firmware to have a backup. Others you are right you have to update via gui if a firmware upgrade file. Yes this is why I need to backup since I know I'll fuck it up lol Alright time to try this out! It's not hard at all use win32 disk imager. When you have SD card hooked up you should be able to select that drive of the SD card. Most important thing is to remember press "Read".... this is the biggest thing. If you picked right it should ask... but I could see some who clicks fast missing. But it's pretty simple/fast process. Just let us know if you run into any issues.

Mining keeps being unprofitable for the most, but there is some that can be able to roi on the next months and keep the miner active, when bitcoin reach above values, sure there is new miners and solo miners still trying to mine btc as they can afford it.
Yup! That is why bitcoin is going up $300 ATM, this is a sign that mining is still alive and it is great that when I hear mining enthusiast and changing their thoughts about mining And this is HUGE for miners I was profitable at 230.... so I was not hurting to bad during then. Bring it up to 300 a coin... and I'm doing and feeling pretty good right now. Mining is far from dead. I think it's a pretty good period for it during this change. Yep, my only regret right now is, it has gotten harder to get good deals since people that were on the verge of selling their S5's are mostly keeping them for the time being. Still some deals are about but many aren't pressed to sell unless they need room for better miners, right now. It is a good time to be a miner right now. There is a flip side to it though. It means the miners you currently have will do better at keeping value with BTC prices going up. Which having them worth something someday when I sell and switch miners which is nice bump in ROI's. But for some one trying to acquire miners yes it would suck for sure.

Ok. Thanks for the informative response Notlist3d! I will come back in two weeks time to see if I can be a viable candidate for this group. Bringing something to the table such as? Exchange experience to be a participant in that particular sub section? Or you mean directly for Macrotheminer such as a skillset? I have one in mind if it is not already taken.
I will be honest I doubt you get in on the bringing something special. (no offense meant). But its like something special you bring to Bit-x posting, something you do or have done on forums that is greatly above normal. Very very few fit into this category compared to overall users. You can PM macro as he is the man who decides once you hit full member's. But if it's still closed besides exceptional/special chances are it's a no. But again that is all up to macro. But on front page it explains it pretty well as far as general enrollment currently:

well there are several ways of earning real money with bitcoins the best one is to get bitcoins for example by participating in signature campaigns and then sell it on exchange for real money
"real money"... i think you are on the wrong forum. BTC is real money it's crypto currency vs fiat money. But both are forms of monetary value. And of course BTC value changes much more then fiat in most cases. But the reason BTC is not free is that it's a forum of money. When a commodity get it's monetary price then we can not get it for free. Usually nothing is free in this world. So, we can not expect bitcoin for free. Even with faucets we get some bitcoin for the work of solving captcha. Not really free you are spending time on faucet or solving capatcha's. The person running the faucet makes money from ad's in most cases. They pay so very little you make cent's per hour. But far from free with all the time you spend. It costs time. Just like solving capatcha's. Some think this is great as they list pay as like .07 BTC or something like that but that is for 10 thousands capatchas. You are talking about a massive amount of time. So again spending lots of time for little pay. You are much better off learning a skill with that time. Later on it will pay so much more on a skill then either of above options.

Well it's a good campaign for jr members but I hope he/she will not spam on the off topics and games n rounds boards i would recommend bit-x only, because thye have no limit, when they will open spot again of course i'm still waiting for one campaign akin to it, without limit No more arguements It's the best right now. I'm also looking forward for that one similar to bit-x's no limit of posting , hopefully sooner cuz it seems bit-x sig campaign will end anytime soon as it was running already for 11 months I am not that sure it will end. How long has campaign been running means nothing. You need to take a look at how healthy the service, web site advertised is. Simple as that. Bit-X has just released their new debit cards, got a ton of money in funding over the summer, just removed posting limit, again it's unlimited, and also have accepted many new members into the campaign. So all of the above means that the campaign will run much longer than you expect. But you must follow the rules because i know that their strict about the rules and they need those user has above average post. So its better to join in other signature campaign to train your grammar. Yes to continue with bitcoin signature campaign successfully, we need to follow very strictly with their terms and conditions. Just remembering the rules will get us better results. We need to check often for new rules too. I think to a point when you are beginning as newbie and lower ranks. It's a time to learn... use it as such. Learn from the forums learn from the many projects you can do. And use the time to work on making good posts with content. If you make crappy posts with a signature you are held to a higher goal, and can get ban for crap posts or one liners. If your a newbie learning you without sig you will be given a lot more leniency. If your main goal on this site is signature campaign you are doing it wrong. It should be forum is for fun and signature is just a bonus. Which is nice as it works out good for both sides.

Am I the only one seeing it as a advantage just to send it to new wallet? I think having it under a btc address that did not have private key online as a good thing. Yes transactions fee's do not sound fun.
But I think if wanting to move from it might as well get a more secure one to. Even though blockchain is a great wallet for spending cash , just not long term storage of lots of coins.

Under the assumption that each activity point has the same probability to give you the rank legendary, that there are 256 such values from 775 and 1035 and that it was predetermined and as such grows linear. The chance for you to reach legendary on the next activity increase are: name act prob. Master-P 826 20.31% EAL 854 31.25% Blazed 882 42.19% Mitchell 896 47.66% notlist3d 924 58.59% defaced 966 75.00%
Edit: , and . notation Edit2: Blazed Interesting thanks for sharing. I figure I will be one of the unlucky ones. At first I was always checking day of change if I made it after posting that day.... but at some point I realized if I don't expect it each week it's much easier then wondering thinking each week will be the one. Maybe I can one day be highest level hero that is not legendary... that is like captain of the B team not bad . But one day it will happen... one day hopefully.

Will that image work on the new model rasp pi?
I could use an image for my model 2 rasp pi.
My current one is a RPI 1 model b. But if it would be useful I have a RPI 2 been sitting waiting for a project. I could get a Raspbian image with compac-cgminer installed on it. Do you need it to run the pre productions usb's (that black one or reviewer), or just production? I should be able to throw one together.

tried going through computer wont even register as a device. Tried multiple usb cables and such.
Does it light up? I don't have mine in front of me but I'm thinking there is 2 red indicators, one shows when it has power (or possibly usb). Other shows when it's mining. Have you tried to run it under linux? Much easier then messing with drivers. There is a U3 user guide to help - https://www.bitmaintech.com/support.htm?pid=007201404130632574925y76a4v50657

Maybe there is just a very high demand.
As far as S7 they left orders open for a really long time, so I don't think this was a problem. The problem they have is shipping out the S7's they already sold. It's kinda a cluster is nice word on shipping right now on S7's. And with low compensation... they don't have a huge reason to rush. So we could have people not so happy if shipping continues to be slow.

Oct 29 2015 62,253,982,450 2.25% 445,631,364 GH/s
An interesting round that really was a close call congrats
Even with all the S7's going out this is pretty impressive. I thought we would be much higher. Coinbase at 307.... so very successful period. I am amazed we are staying over 300 but it feel's great to see value keep going up.

Sent you a PM. If you could get back to me once you have time.
Thanks!
He got a hold of me seems like great person to work with. Was very nice and on my sale went above and beyond for me to get one. I give him very high marks in customer serve rice to say the least.
Thanks!

If they were in Washington I'd visit them daily and they'd grow to love me. Too bad we can't see another $400-$500 miner with the latest tech, I have a hard time shelling out $1000+ for anything. If I was building I'd shoot for 2TH topend and about $400 price tag for a pair of S1-refit boards. That's a good price range for consumer miners. I think upgrade's are something at this point we wont see much of. Unless someone like sidehack releases us some great boards. Bitmain seems to not be to interested in upgrades at this point. A LOT held onto S2's waiting and waiting on upgrades that never came. I do like the 400 dollar price that would be very nice.

I bought a used SFARD from ITOPSHOP, the price was good but very high to roi easilly, and i don't know where is another SFARD on sale...
It was a release a very very small number of resellers that each got 5 units. I would say not a huge launch on it at all. The price actually was pretty high on ITOP i think it was suppose to sell around 1.2k at release and ITOP was around 1.5k. So they set on them for quiet a while. Most sold long ago on what was available to public. ITOP sit on ones that didnt sell and mined them. So you got lucky to even find one. Chances of finding another store just mining with these is rare, so you chances are will have to get from 3rd party that also bought one if you want another one. I might suggest doing some ROI math though before going in deeper with them. There was a reason they sit there for so long at 1.5k Strange company to say the least. Makes me sick what I paid for my first couple S1's. It honestly is one of the strangest stories in mining companies. They did not scam people, they made a product, made giveaways to get interest... the vanish. They had good funding from companies at first so I don't see them folding. I still think most likely is they decided to keep internal with no one having a chip close to theirs. Build a batch host it somewhere cheap... and do nothing and profit. Not to mention they could have done it a decent amount before LTC having. I hope truth comes out one day with what happened. But I don't expect it anytime soon.
