4821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can I sign a message with more than one address? on: November 19, 2019, 01:44:25 PM
So does the signature (somehow) reveal the public key?
In order to verify the sender's signature, the person verifying should know the sender's public key. Without it, there is no way of verifying if the signature is valid. And since a public key corresponds to a private key, it would imply that the person who signed the message actually owns the private key of the address without revealing the private key

4822  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: What is happening to Privcoin.io? on: November 19, 2019, 03:30:02 AM
When i tried to open the Privcoin.io link, i got warnings from both Metamask and U Block origin extensions about a possible malicious website I am about to visit.

The domain is blacklisted and found in the lists of
- malwaredomains.com - https://mirror.cedia.org.ec/malwaredomains/justdomains
- WindscribeMalwareList - https://assets.windscribe.com/extension/ws/malwaredomains.txt
- Etherscamdb.info - https://etherscamdb.info/domain/www.privcoin.io
- cryptoscamdb.org - https://cryptoscamdb.org/scams

if they are legit how come they ended up in these blacklists and have never bothered to report false positives to the given websites or resolve the issue?

4824  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BEWARE - chipmixerr.com is a SCAM bitcoin mixer(Clone of chipmixer.com) on: November 18, 2019, 01:38:18 PM
I hope that they could not scam anyone if they spoof a signature or post this site in this forum it is difficult to distinguish between the two URLs.
The good thing is that older members of this forum are usually very keen to what accounts post especially newbies accounts which i believe they would most likely use.

Also, many people know that it's mostly the most reorganized individuals who wear the chipmixer signature so as soon as they seen someone stranger wearing it whilst spoofing it. It will certain cause so suspicion.

Although its a old trick but still there is so many crypto user who are not well notified about this kinda scam attempt and these scammers main target is to reach them.
Yeah, especially through searching chipmixer on a search engine, On duckduckgo, a search engine i like using because of privacy, chipmixerr.com also comes up in the search results.

4825  Other / Off-topic / Re: If Other coin likely ETH Will Take over on: November 18, 2019, 10:03:59 AM
Admin will do nothing because when the forum was founded, it's intention was majorly to discuss bitcoin, not Ether or some other crap coin.

Your father or mother will always be your parent, you can not undo that... now put that into the Bitcoin/altcoin perspective. Bitcoin will always be the "Parent" of cryptocurrencies and i doubt its legacy will be overshadowed by the altcoins.

Major altcoins like ETH already have their own forums (https://forum.ethereum.org/) if the supporters feel their altcoin is bigger, then they will boost about it there.
4826  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: November 17, 2019, 09:59:50 PM
VERY nice toma, yes I got it too! I was hoping to be able to break it up into 3 separate bets but since I couldn't, I put it on a parlay (I know, I am greedy but I couldn't find a future Liverpool game with more than 2/1 (it was almost 3/1 against City that would definitely have been my entire bet!).

So my 0.03 BTC bet goes on England and Liverpool:

The England part is done, now time for Liverpool.
Isn't Napoli the only team that has so far managed to beat Liverpool in all major competitions this season?
You got some balls of steel there mate.   Cheesy

Best of luck.
4827  Economy / Gambling / Re: introduction on: November 17, 2019, 09:11:24 PM
Btw @OP.. You must change the opening title of this thread "introduction" to the name of your site.
Generally even the announcing post doesn't look appealing at all. OP should try taking a look at Announcements of different gambling websites and projects around, and then he should get an idea and motivation to spice up Zanzibet's ANN. I see he is already a copper member, and he is not using the privilege of copper membership to the fullest

If he can not design a nice ANN by himself, then he should try to hire one of the good ANN designers in the forum.
4828  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: wixiplay.io is a SCAM! on: November 17, 2019, 08:14:17 PM
You can clearly see in the blockchain that my deposit went through. Pay me my 0.05 btc.
Guess you can now feel how painful it is to lose money. Next time you think about trying to exploit websites of innocent people, remember the pain.
The website you were trying to manipulate is someone's business.
The invalid TX IDs of transactions you tried to create a few moments after the first transaction have been shared too. Can you explain how it came to that?

4830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 16, 2019, 11:59:39 PM
I thought they were close to signing Mandzukic? Let's see, so they're options for a new striker are: 1) A 33yo who hasn't played football in half a year. 2) An unproven 19yo kid playing in a third-rated league  Lips sealed
They could try Ibrahimovic as well... I hear he will be a free man Grin

No matter how bad things are going over the Man Utd headquarters, it's still Manchester United, Red Bull Zalsburg are 100 million light years behind the Red Devils. If this kid declines a move to Man Utd, either he's mentally ill or his agent is mentally ill...Just saying  Cheesy
The trend seems to be changing. Kids seem to be flooding to Spanish top teams where UCL is assured. United's history is great no doubt but the current atmosphere at the club is "unappetizing"  Cheesy
4831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 16, 2019, 10:07:12 PM
At least he has realised his error when he sent Lukaku packing to the San Siro but even with the goals that Haaland has been scoring for Salzburg they shouldn't be too much expectation from home since it's a totally different style in the EPL than in the Austrian League.
Though Sanchez didn't perform well at United. His depature plus Lukaku's without any serious backup are most likely one of the reason have been struggling badly.

As soon as Haaland crosses to United, at the current state the team is, his brilliance will definitely decline. With the stats he has gathered so far, there is going to be a battle across Europe for the youngster and i doubt he would fancy sacrificing champion's league football in order to play for the now collapsed empire of Manchester United.
4832  Economy / Economics / Re: Paypal Drops Pornhub Support, Pornhub Is Now Exploring Cryptocurrency Options on: November 16, 2019, 09:32:17 PM
Looks like they are not "exploring". The cryptocurrency payment option is already there

This goes show how more and more service providers are getting to realize that crypto is the easy way out. Also, if i were to be a customer for such websites and looking to get premium subscriptions, i would rather use crytpocurreincies than link such websites to my bank account  Grin

I think this is quite a bit of an old news , pornhub and these sites are supporting the use of cryptocurrencies since forever , everyone already knows how legal it is therefore they have an option now , the government won't always raise red flags so as when they start out doing a business which involves things like these , I think more or so it is both good and a bad news , the usage of these sites is a controversial thing so I don't think anyone could narrate anything regarding that .
You are right. Though i am no longer a user of porn sites, I sometime back saw another famous website xhamster having support for payment in cryptocurrencies through coingate.

4833  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source observations on: November 16, 2019, 06:47:37 PM
I don't know which day it happened but yesterday (I did check the merit source stat page recent days), the forum has only 90 merit sources in total (from the previous figure at 130). 40 merit sources were removed. The last time we saw such very low total merit sources is at 11/7/2018 with 83 merit sources in total. Simultaneously, the total sMerits allocated to merit sources decreased to 18821
Wooow that was some huge number of removed merit sources. I think their inactivity explains why there was a very low supply of Merits in the past few months.

It also beats my understanding why someone who go through the trouble of applying to be a merit source, yet they very well know that they are not going to be active in the forum. It would be understandable if it was a handful of chaps but 40 inactive merit sources is a huge number.

Hopeful the double allocations to active merit sources will try to solve the problem
4834  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk forum payment issue and many more on: November 16, 2019, 02:23:52 PM
<...>
I think by now you should have known the nature of people behind cryptotalk and yobit. They don't really care about people's please and do whatever they please.

If you feel the campaign is a waste of your time, don't bother doing it and you won't have to be heart broken by their ever-changing rule.

Personally i would never sign up for the forum because honestly, there is no better forum with constructive crypto discussions like bitcointalk. It tried out bitcoingardern  about a year ago but i didn't even last 3 days there. It was so boring as hell  Grin
4835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with Fiat or Crypto? on: November 15, 2019, 10:26:04 PM
Crypto for me any day, any time.

Where i come from the tax on gambling winnings is so high and it breaks my heart see almost over 20% of my winnings go to the ridiculous tax collectors . But ever since i discovered bitcoin and crypto. I am able to gamble on websites outside my jurisdiction and receive my winning without anybody even knowing  Cheesy
This could not be possible at all with Fiat
4836  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto Capital Do Not Pay on: November 15, 2019, 09:32:11 PM
Please comment if you have some news.
Or what can we do to escalate this?
I don't have much money locked in, but I read here that many people got a big deal of fiat locked.
There is 98% chance that you won't get your money back, with all the scam accusations all over the forum. Still wonder how you used them without doing some background checks.
- Warning! CryptoCapital doesn't pay!
- Warning Cryptocapital SCAMMERS!
- Crypto Capital Do Not Pay
- Cryptocapital Scam Alert
- Scam Alert!!! Crypto Capital (Panama) - Cex.io partner
- CryptoCapital Withdrawal Problems
And so many more

Good thing you are warning and making people aware of that payment gateway. If you post on the proper thread, it will reach more people. Gather all your proof and make a proper post at the scam accusation section.
He opened a scam accusation sometime back: Warning! CryptoCapital doesn't pay!
4837  Economy / Exchanges / Re: LBC/LocalBitCoins-Can not log in on new device/laptop -Not receiving Email?? on: November 15, 2019, 08:40:38 PM
Localbitcoins were perfectly legit on their services. The service team is quite strong and very eager to help the people who require support. Maybe with more and more people into cryptocurrency the market widening will happen. There is quite a strong team behind localbitcoins. The difficulty experienced by users were easily handled by the team which will sought and give conclusions.
Used to use them back then. The new emails would come in swiftly. When they started enforcing KYC, that's when i also stopped using them.

EDIT - Logged out, snet them a message had the usual respnse 'we take things seriously...etc...

'Your support ticket is #XXXXX3 and we have sent you a confirmation email'

You might of BUT i am STILL not receiving anything, i've had 100's of emails since i switched to this Laptop.

Very confused, they have info on my problem BUT no way to contact me?
Have you tried checking your Junk or spam folder. Still, very weird that they claim they sent you and email yet you haven't received any.

Also are there limits of maximum and minimum members allowed to register per group?
4839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 51% attack now Possible by the Top 3 Mining Pool Operators on: November 15, 2019, 01:37:12 PM
Centralization has occurred. Decentralization is dead for bitcoin.

So now only 3 people secure bitcoin.
Only 3 people?
What a reckless and stupid statement?

According to your logic, 3 mining pools = 3 individuals.  Grin
You forget that a pool consists of different miners who can choose not to be part of the said evil attack.
Are they gonna force all the miners to carry out the attack?  Roll Eyes
4840  Economy / Exchanges / Re: high bitcoin fee on: November 14, 2019, 10:53:09 PM
It may seem high, but both exchanges did not increase their withdrawal fees in 2017/2018 when the base network fee for Bitcoin hovered between 0.001-0.002BTC. It means that they lost on every single withdrawal that their users requested, which is what people don't think about.

Coinbase works with dynamic withdrawal fees based on the level of network congestion; currently they charge you like 0.00002BTC, but in 2017/2018 there were short periods where they charged even over 0.002BTC.

Every fee model has its pros and cons depending on how congested the network is. Currently Coinbase's dynamic fee model is the best for people, but when the fees spike up, Binance's fee model will stand out as being the cheapest.

I remember quite well. In late 2017, Binance's  withdrawal fees also reached somewhere in the range of 0.001BTC. Binance does change it's withdrawal fees though not very often to match the trend. Just less than a month ago, the fee was at around 0.0003 BTC, right now it's 0.0005 BTC.

About a week ago I did make a withdrawal from Bitmex using the minimal fee of 0.0003BTC but the transaction would take several hours to get it's first confirmation unlike in the past month when it would get confirmed within the next 2 blocks. I believe binance also slightly raised their fee based on the recent rise on the minimal fee required for the transaction to be confirmed within the next block or 2 blocks.

Remember this exchanges sometimes process transactions with more inputs and outputs than our normal transactions that may have 1 input and output so sometimes the fees change considerably.
