Well my coins werent mature so i combined all the transactions from mining into one block. After doing this my coins are now saying mature and says im staking but I have not yet.I dont think anyone has staked a block yet as we are at block 820 and coin supply is 82.Really think the staking is broken guys.I have about 13 coins in wallet

This coin may have to do what the dev had to do with the original Greed and get volunteers to mine zero reward POW blocks until the network weight is enough to overcome the minimum POS difficulty. Have fun guys. I've been there, done that with low coinage POS coins. Good news is the coinage won't stay too low for too long once the hurdle is overcome. Unlike cryptopennies....

Edit: At only 1000% interest, this is going to take a while....Hope this is HIPOS and not DPOS...

What happened to gorillabucks ? is it still alive??

Butthurt "vigilantes" used their hacking skills to kill it. Hopefully, these vigilantes won't use their knowledge to unleash their yoke on other coins with the same vulnerabilities. <sigh>

BTW, if anyone wants to do me a favor and dump into my buy wall. I'd be very happy.

Sorry, I guess I don't really understand PoS.  How does changing the size of the payout you get from pool affect how well you stake?

stakeweight or coin-age is the key. it is the fuel for the PoS engine.

Amt. of time (in days)(that those coin have been unmoved at their address) x # of coin = stakeweight.

so you recieve 100 coin (in one tx) and leave it in your wallet to stake, it's been there 10 days, your stakeweight = 1000
same day you recieved 50 coin (in one tx) ten days later it's weight is 500.
the block of coin with the greater weight is (generally speaking) more likely to find a block ...  Smiley

Makes perfect sense, thanks.  However, I've observed my stake weight going down after some time, even though I haven't sent coins out of my wallet.  How does this happen?  Also, I've noticed my wallet consumes 8-10% of my cpu power while staking.  XMG doesn't do this (typically less than 1%).  Are PoS algorithms also different from coin to coin?

The coins in your wallet are divided up into "inputs." Every time you make a deposit into your wallet, it makes a new input. When you make a withdrawal from your wallet, it will figure out which input(s) to use to make the output. If there is anything left, a new input will be created which is your change.

Each input in your wallet has it's own stakeweight. Whenever you hit a stake, your wallet takes one of the inputs, adds the stake reward, and splits it into two new inputs. These new inputs now have a weight of zero and you will have to wait four hours until they start gaining weight.
One strategy people implement when staking is they break down coinage into many inputs. If all of your coins are in one input, when you stake, your weight will drop all the way down to zero and you will have to wait four hours for your coins to start gaining weight. However, if you have your coins split up into 12 equal inputs, your weight will only go down by 1/12 when you stake.
Your wallet will eventually split up your coinage through staking if you leave it alone. However, some people use coin control to manage their inputs manually.
I'm not sure why you XMG wallet only uses 1% and axiom uses 10% cpu.

This is DPOS. The stakeweight will never exceed the number of coins that you have. 100 coins = 100 coin max stakeweight.

If anyone is wondering about the "optimized" staking wallets I tried them and didn't find any improvement.  In fact I personally get less blocks with the "optimized" wallet then the regular one.

Thats probably because stake weight is over 1 mil now, someone is obviously enjoying the cheap coins. I have been staking a lot less at the same weights since those wallets were posted.

I heard Cryptsy stakes their wallets, (unlike Bittrex.) I wonder if them coming into the picture is affecting the rest of us stakers. I could be mistaken though about Cryptsy staking their wallets.

I hope some progress is made soon because soon enough axiom wont be worth anything. Its already down under 3k satoshi.

Time for someone to clone this. Then all the people who spent their time making GPU miners can have more to go on to get their well deserved bounties.  Grin
4868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VOL] VOLUME - X11 - ROADMAP - YOBIT on: August 18, 2015, 12:06:20 AM
Well, it appears some people have their own rigs, so they are willing to let go of their coins for real cheap. Angry Unfortunately, I rented hash, so I now have a new coin to HODL since I hate dumping for a loss.  Cheesy Hope the proof of volume turns out to be a fantastic innovation.  Smiley
4869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cloning a coin the easy way in about twenty minutes on: August 17, 2015, 11:55:52 PM
thanks for the guide,

any chance you can post a section on how to build a standard windows QT wallet? That's the step that is most difficult for me...

Good news, bad news; compiling directly on Windows is in fact madness, and will end in tears. What I do and I'm 99% convinced everyone does is use Gitian, which is tricky to set up but automates everything. Try following https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/master/doc/gitian-building.md to set up a build environment. There's some hiccups with the very latest Bitcoin that I can't find the details of how to workaround right now, but unless you're building Bit or Doge they shouldn't apply.

Now I don't feel so stupid. I was trying my hand at compiling wallets this weekend, and almost got to the point of punching my monitor. I'll try gitian, next weekend when I have time. Grin

0 reward  Huh

Just wait till block 1500. Someone will owe 1000 coins. To who? I don't know. That wallet.dat will get deleted. Cheesy

solo mining this Cheesy

Diff 270K...forever solo Smiley

If you think that will take forever; just wait to see what happens after block 1000. Good luck everybody.  Roll Eyes

These low supply, POS coins, usually get stuck once they go into the pure POS stage. Passing on this one.

I'm trying to figure out how to compile a windows wallet and am taking a free online course for c++. I might be ready in a year or two. Cheesy

a course!? thats dedication right there! I thought this was all about CPP (copy/paste/pray) Wink

Well, I spent all day yesterday trying to learn how to compile a wallet on Windows. Using some guides, I finally compiled an older bitcoin client. However; I hit a wall trying to compile an axiom wallet. Therefore, if I can't even compile a windows wallet, I won't be of any use here.  Cheesy

It looks like they made their gain and left. Probably no one of them is holding AXIOM anymore and therefore there is no reason to invest time anymore.

If you look at the block explorer, you can see that the 1st 500 coins mined was later sent to another address, that now has 19000 coins assigned to it. Do your research before you fud. Roll Eyes

FYI, solo mining stats for 72 hours, 1 thread per core using minerd-multi posted on OP.

4Core Intel Desktop - found 8 blocks
8Core Intel Server - found 6 blocks
2Core Laptop - found 2 blocks
64Core Blade - found 51 blocks
4Core GPU 3 R280x - found 18 blocks

4Core Intel Desktop is exceeding expectations.

So if I look at this right, the Gpu and 4 core cpu rig only did 3X better than your 8 core cpu rig? I don't think people realize how miniscule the GPU edge is compared to most algos...

wtf?

block have long time (

A multipool comes in when difficulty is low. And when the difficulty is cranked back up to sky high, the multipool drops mining it. So, the few people mining this coin exclusively, have to muddle through 60 blocks of sky high difficulty.

Does Cryptsy even read this forum? maybe they know something we don't  Huh

They just looked at how many pages of posts this thread has. 127 pages is quite impressive for a coin that is less than a month old. Cryptsy is really good news though. They will never delist a coin, even if the network breaks.  Grin

Well, I guess I should now try to complete the material on http://www.learncpp.com/.
However, I suspect even after completing the material, I won't be any help at all. Cheesy
