It take will power to quit anything. If your heart and mind isnt ready to let it go you will fail. Gotta be ready mentally to move forward.

That's true, if you are addicted already to gambling, it looks like a fish being hooked, it needs a very strong will of mind and heart to escape from it..you need to force it even if it hurts just to escape from gambling..

I just hope every person has a strong mental will but it is not. Most of the time, addicts has low mental will. They cannot will quiting gambling themselves. They need support from the outside like friends and professionl help. If you are a gambling addict, seek professional help or a support group. Do not be afraid or ashame to admit that you need help. It's a good start if you do.
4882  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: March 09, 2016, 02:33:38 PM
I would continue with my job for sure, I like bitcoin, but I don't have total faith in it looking at the price fluctuation involved, So I will always treat bitcoin as good extra income and nothing else.

Thats the good idea. At anytime leaving day job is not fair. Bitcoin price increases gradually but having much dependence will result in failure, because if you involve completely no time has to be spend on other activities only then you can earn your targeted amount.

For the likes of us whose sole source of bitcoin income is signature campaign, it is really hard to let go of regular job and focus on bitcoin. But I think for those early adopters and have a lot of stashed bitcoin, they could leave their jobs. Especially those who can do well in trading, they can profit more in bitcoin than working regular jobs.
4883  Economy / Gambling / Re: It finally happened to me! 2.4 BTC in profit @betcoin.tm xD on: March 09, 2016, 02:29:23 PM
I tested my luck again today and I made another 0.1 BTC, so now I got 2 BTC total.
I think I will withdraw another 1 BTC, and leave the other to gamble and see how it goes xD

I will secure 1.5 BTC true profit like this, and continue to gamble with 1 BTC.
From here I think I will withdraw every time I get another 0.5 BTC profit, and cool it down for a while if I ever get down to just 0.5 BTC

As for the source of the profit it was from sports betting and roulette. On the roulette I usually use the "Voisins Du Zero" betting plan.
You can do it automatically in the live roulette, or set it manually on the other. I play on both. My average bet is 45 mBTC, and although sometimes I double this bet, I don't use martingale or anything like that, since that is suicide. Normally I just keep betting, and sometimes I double the bet.

Let's see if I can increase my profit xD
I will keep you updated of how ti goes!

Nice plan, I wish you all the luck and hope you profit more. It's nice to know someone actually making a profit in gambling. I never heard of VOisins du zero strategy before, I guess I have to make a little research about that.

Thanks man. As for the "voisins du zero" (or neighbours of zero) here is the link. I like using this, because it's almost like betting on colours, but you have a "mini jackpot" if you get 0, 2 or 3, so I guess it helps to "push" your luck xD

Here is the link, on how to wager this bet. Although if you go to the live roulette, you can do it automatically, since it's a normal option in the European roulette.
http://onlineroulette.org.uk/bets/voisins-du-zero/

Thanks for the link. I'll read about it later and try to study it a bit more. I'll give it a try one of this day and see if my luck would be as good as yours. If I can beat your profit, I'll post it here.
4884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: March 09, 2016, 01:04:45 PM
The best thing that you must do is just find some distraction and that is the best thing. Otherwise you will gambling and that is not good.
Just find something else that you like to do and than you will stop gambling and that is very good.

In my opinion, a bit of distraction is not enough for a person to get rid of gambling. It maybe effective for a bit, while distracted, but once gone, gambling will pull back the person and make him even worse gambler than before.
4885  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: March 09, 2016, 12:50:07 PM
Even if it gives me a high income than my day job, I won't quit it because of its volatile nature. If the price goes very low than my prediction, I can't manage the month with the earned Bitcoin.

With trading you could still profit even if the price is going down. You just have to short it until you are certain its reversing back up. So you still earn even if the price goes down and sell when the price goes back up. You just have to learn how to enter in the trade properly. Though it is really risky and not advisable to newbie trader like us.

4887  Economy / Gambling / Re: I left primedice running and found a good strategy. on: March 09, 2016, 11:17:14 AM
I know how it feels when one discovers a strategy that gets him more than double of your profit. Dice games are known to have streaks of continuous wins or loses and where you start from matters a lot. OP was lucky to have fallen on a wins streak which earned him some  good profit. The best option here is stop betting after such a profit because if you continue betting then you will land on the losing streak and burst all your satoshi.

But he is just using faucet amount so the profit is still actually very small. I doubt if he will still use the strategy if he had deposited a large amount of capital. Martingale will eat all his money in no time.  I am sure after reading the comments above he will ditch this strategy all together.
4888  Economy / Gambling / Re: It finally happened to me! 2.4 BTC in profit @betcoin.tm xD on: March 09, 2016, 04:18:01 AM
Congratulations on winning that great amount. You had an amazing run making 2.4 from 0.5 BTC. Better grab your money and run away with it before the house notice it and give you a losing streak.  Enjoy it while you are still lucky, just remember to stop when your luck runs out.
4889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: March 08, 2016, 03:52:48 PM
Its pretty different, I dont see what the fun of trading? Huh No offense, but waiting the price up down sounds boring to me, and yeah I never experienced it myself

Since you never experienced it first hand, you do not have much say on the subject. Why don't you give it a try first. For me, it has the same excitement and frustration as in gambling. Though it is better because your skills are tested not just luck.
4890  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: March 08, 2016, 03:42:17 PM
As you can see, many people all over the world improve thru investing rather than saving. Investment is a way to success. All you need to have is just being positive.

... and money to invest. You can't invest on anything if you do not have spare money. So, best thing is to save first, then invest your savings later. This two, saving and investing, goes hand in hand. You can't invest without savings and you can better save if you have investments.
4891  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: March 08, 2016, 02:04:33 PM
I would be retired and using bitcoin to finance my daily needs, travels and out of town vacations. I would still be trading, but as a hobby and not a means to survive. Hopefully, all the bitcoins I Accumulated by then would be enough to have a good life.
4892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your gambling stats? (Profit/Loss) on: March 08, 2016, 01:57:49 PM
I do not keep track of my win/loss, but my biggest loss was 0.005btc. Maybe -0.01 btc in total or near that. I stopped gambling bitcoin since I lost 0.005 in a single roll. It is just not in me to gamble/play with money, fiat or bitcoin.
4893  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: March 08, 2016, 11:00:41 AM
Maybe i will quit my job to go full time on bitcoin. But i need to recheck how long is bitcoin life and the prospect of bitcoin in the next 5 years.
no one knows the future of bitcoin will like what. you have to do at this time, if you get good results from bitcoin? if you have many ways to get productive bitcoin with good results. you can take the decision to stop working and take full time to bitcoin.
Yup, no one can really predict where bitcoin or your current job will be. So for now, earn as much bitcoin as you can while maintaining your current job. Doing good in both of them will not harm you, it is even better. So if either of them fails someday, you have the other to support your financial needs. No need to choose if you can do both.
4894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling makes you cry. on: March 08, 2016, 10:56:28 AM
Gambling can make you cry real hard if you are making the wrong choice, I've been there too and its very hard to also stop than.
You want to win the amount back that have lost because of a stupid bet..

Yeah, gambling made even strong men cry. Specially those who lose tons of money in it. And even those poker player with their poker face, I know deep inside they are crying when they lose their all-in. I lose .005 btc, and it almost made me cry. How much more those who lose more than I did.
4895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: March 08, 2016, 10:52:57 AM
Better move an island where op don't have any access to internet and spend few months there so that it can be helpful to give up that gambling otherwise i don't think anything can be helpful there. Grin Grin Grin Grin

Wow, are you really suggesting that people become hermits just to stay away from gambling. That is too sad. There still other alternatives to stay away from gambling. Like focusing your energy to a more productive activities like sports or a new hobby other than gambling. But if you can't do it alone, better get professional help.
4896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: March 08, 2016, 10:45:28 AM
Gambling itself is not wrong but the addiction you can get from is very wrong, the point is also some people are very fast addicted to something so that is another reason why it wrong for such people.
In my eyes gambling itself is not wrong but even enjoying if you ask me but you have to control yourself.
You can say that. But the fact that its existing makes people addicted and lose tons of money makes it bad. Even if it just starts as an entertainment or a way to past time, it still gets people hooked on it. It is like drugs. So if drugs are bad, so you can also say that gambling is bad.
4897  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: March 08, 2016, 01:36:08 AM
i did.. now i dont have job in real life. fulltime on PC to earning money from internet.

same earning bitcoin directly is much more satisfying and fun than earning fiat in the suual boring way, i'm not evcen searchign a job it's useless, also by earning money directly with bitcoin you don't pay the deductions from your fiat job

not to mention that payment are actually precise and don't come late for whatever reason, talking about mining here not signature

Deductions.  Grin Now that you said it I start thinking about it. Yes same as the businesses like selling something or doing a job for a neighbor or a friend. You got paid without deduction and taxes. Cool. I love that idea now.
Damn taxes and still the country is getting worst.

That is one perk of earning bitcoin. You can avoid the high taxes on your earnings. But having a regular jobs have its own perks too like bonuses or healthcare benefits. If you're getting older, you cannot deny that health benefits means a lot.
4898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: March 07, 2016, 07:00:16 AM
Trading is some sort of a gamble too because you are not sure where the trades will go. But, there can be signal to which it may actually go. So in my opinion, trading is not a pure gamble because you have calculated risk and there is a higher chance that you can win. If you study enough, read news and know how to read charts, you can be able to predict the right trade to make. In gambling, everything is left to chance.
4899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: March 07, 2016, 06:51:49 AM
I've used browser extensions to block myself from sites before. Very simple.

it was very simple indeed... But I don't think if gamblers won't cheat themselves, blocking it and unblocking it from time to time...its more like cigarette addiction, first they would stop smoking and then started to buy one stick and then back again and just repeating the same scenario... it needs a very strong "will" if you want to stop it alone without help from other people...

and if this happens, you will be worse than before. I don't think self-restrain is enough to quit gambling addiction. To better cure addiction, one must seek professional help. Also, help from friends and relatives is can do a lot to addicts. It makes them feel that they are not alone in their battle with their addiction.

I would never do this its way to risky of you ask me, because of the fact you have to life from a certain amount to pay everything.
Its way to risky to go full time in the bitcoin because there are too many risks if you ask me.

nope. You can pay for your life with bitcoin. if you ask me "what are you working full in bitcoin?" not yet. I still work part time. because I have to divide my time with the college. even though. bitcoin very useful. bitcoin pay all school purposes

school purposes and real life purposes are different things, school expenses are not too much, but when it comes to your real life, you simply cannot depend on bitcoins, what will you do if bitcoin pay you in peanuts in future?

Yes, you cannot compare school expense to life expense. Say that again when you are paying for electricity, water and house mortgages or when you quit school and rely your future in bitcoin. For me, bitcoin is really good extra income but I cannot still rely my life expense on it. I am not that big earner yet, maybe someday when I become really really good in trading, maybe I can think of quitting my day job.
