With transaction costs rising above $1 the original promise of cheap remittance using Bitcoin is officially dead. Without utility Bitcoin use is limited to speculation only and even further what is there to speculate about?
I would like to debate this and gauge the community's response to Bitcoin experiment.
Cheap remittance of money globally is still here. I wouldn't mind paying $1 for a $50,000 transaction to be sent half way across the globe that would have otherwise resulted in a $500 or probably even more fee. It is a hassle to see that bitcoin fees are going up every day, and that even Coinbase has to put a fee on their customers because they cannot afford to process so many microtranscations every day. If you really want microtransactions, use dogecoin for now. When bitcoin scales everything will be back to normal/at least close to normal low fees that we were used to paying. Bitcoin is definitely not useless though, otherwise nobody would be on this forum. And it's got a bright future. Speculation isn't everything, Japan and Australia legalized bitcoin just a few weeks ago.

As Directbet.eu is no more, does any other bookmaker offer in-play odds every format (Test, ODI & T20) in Cricket.
Cloudbet is a good option, although do not store more than what you can afford to lose on their site if you are not able to provide identification. They are known to hold funds from players, claiming that the player is suspected to be using multiple acocunts. Nitrogensports also? I've heard positive things about them but haven't used them myself. As Directbet.eu is no more, does any other bookmaker offer in-play odds every format (Test, ODI & T20) in Cricket.
1xbit is the best in that regard. I had a bet on Rohit Sharma to score 50 runs and India to have 1st wicket, partnership of 70 runs on 1xbit. It has the best inplay market for cricket. Please use my Referral link while registering on 1xbit. Thanks 1xbit has a lot of complaints and has neg trust on this forum for scamming a user, i'm pretty sure. I agree that they did have loads of complaints before. Ive been playing for the past 7 months and never had a issue or delay. Won over 0.5 BTC(and cashed out). Never been stopped to ask verification. They have responded to legitimate scam accusations and solved it but they didnt remove the red-trust from it. Ahh, i see how it is. The scam accusation shows resolved however a couple of DT members haven't removed their feedback. I guess that makes them a little more trustworthy. However, it shouldn't take a scam accusation to get them to pay up. They should pay up whenever a withdrawal request is submitted, not just when they are threatened to be painted in red. There are better alternatives as i said, nitrogensports as well as cloudbet. But when betting on all of these sites don't deposit more than 1 BTC or you'll be at risk of being selectively scammed.

Genesis mining is known as scam. They claim they are legal but however it's almost impossible to get ROI with them, also they offer lifetime contract which directly means scam because why the hell will someone offer you lifetime money making machine? If there would be selling hash, than still ok but stay away from them. Seems you risked and invest, only wish you luck, more probably your money is lost.
They are not scam per se but indeed they are a dodgy company. They are much more legit than other cloud mining operations that are obviously ponzi schemes. At least they show footage of their mining rigs whether they are real or not. I've used Steemit for a while, all i can say that the PoW payouts aren't great after the early adopters stage. Can you even mine with PoW anymore on Steem? I haven't been following the project since last year. If you want steem, write up good content, you'll get some excellent rewards.

So I have a Bitcoin ATM just a few blocks away from my house. I am wondering if anybody would be able to tell me about their recent experience using one. I am a bit hesitant in using it because of all the delays in confirmation times these days. Would be helpful if some users can tell me the pros and cons of their experiences using the ATM?
It really depends on how godo the rates are. What I find at least in my bitcoin ATM is that the spreads are generalyl lower than if you were trading OTC with people online, either on localbitcoins, paxful, or on the bitcoin otc channel. If you live next to it, go check out their rates, and whether they charge any extra fees on top of that rate of bitcoin. You're very lucky though, most people don't have access to a bitcoin ATM within radius of 10 km.

If you really do have 95% win rate, prove it. At least 100 trades from your betting history, with odds of at least 1.2x or better. I can bet on 1.01x odds and still have 95% win rate. The best tipsters here boast about having a 60-75% win rate and you're talking 95? Man, i can't believe you still have to earn money from subscriptions. Why don't use just keep your picks private and not saturated, you'll still make a fortune

This is probably a scam. OP probably made a throwaway account just to achieve this. As other members said escrow.com balance can be carded, or the account could be stolen altogether.. not to mention the telltale Skype username that scammers leave.
It's wise not deal deal with OP.

I can do this, if you are able to do a cash deposit instead of a bank transfer. Reason being that bank transfers can be reversible even though it is unlikely and cash deposits on the whole are not.
I can also accept cardless cash codes generated from Commonwealth or westpac apps. Preferably westpac. I don't need 1.2 btc though only a hundred bucks or so. If this is too low then go to localbitcoins, you'll find people selling bigger amounts there.e

For me it's always betting live. When a team is down big time then you want to bet on that team, because sometime during the match they will make a comeback. Now, it doesn't matter if they don't win the game because as soon as they make a come back you bet on the other team who were originally favourites to win. That way no matter which team wins, you'll make a profit.
Obviously there is a risk of the comeback not happening but trust me, i've watched so many nba matches(this works really well with nba because teams go on 10 or even 20-0 runs in no time) and almost all of them had me profiting or breaking even.

Please, not this again. I have said it before, and I'll say it again - this comparison is absolutely nonsense. How can you compare a tiny fraction of a whole unit of Gold, with a whole unit as 1BTC? It makes no sense. If you want to fairly compare things, then you have to compare one troy ounce of Gold (31.1GR) with 0.0311BTC. Obviously, if you look at things from this perspective, there is nothing to compare at all - it's $1266 for Gold versus $62 for Bitcoin.
100% agree with you. I believe that a troy ounce is just an arbitrary number that people decided will be the standard of measurement for gold and silver. It could be a gram, it could have been 10 grams. As i said, it's just an arbitrary number. If you really want to compare things, then maybe do 1/21000000 of the entire bitcoin market capitalisation compared to 1/21000000of gold's capitalisation. Bitcoin isn't even close right now. Honestly, it'll take at least a few decades for bitcoin to catch up. Gold has been the people money of choice for the past millenium. And to change that would take a lot of work.

What do you think, How safe is to keep some BTC in the coldwallet for 20 years paying no attention to crypto world?
The thing thats going to be a problem is you not paying attention to the crypto world at all. For me i find it hard to believe anyone that has been involved in crypto for just a week can do this. Trust me i've tried. It really depends on what type of cold storage you're using. Paper wallet could be eaten by insects, for example, if you just throw it somewhere and forget about it in 20 years. Trezor wallets or ledger could fail and all your coins are lost although it is extremely unlikely. By storing your own keys for such a long time you're taking risks, but the benefits from these risks outweigh the potential of getting scammed by a wallet or exchange service. It's worth a try imo.

i want to know which website is trusted to buy bitcoin by credit card?
Use coinbase. They have the lowest fees and the most convenient service - and their customer support is always there to help. I've heard people complain about their customer service but for me, they are really responsive. Not sure if it is just a coincidence everytime but i think it is more likely that they legitimately have a good customer support team. Obviously you'll have to be verified but you shouldn't worry too much about it if your purchase is legitimate. They're not going to run off with your docs. If you don't want to get verified, use virwox/indacoin. Both of which charge really high fees.

Feel sorry for anyone who has done a loan not tied to fiat rates. If this trend keeps up I can't see many people honoring their existing commitments.
The price goes both ways - right now the price is crashing and it's actually benefitial for these people who have took out a bitcoin loan at the ATH because now they can buy the exact same amount of bitcoin for less! If you didn't know already this is how shorting works, basically someone borrowing a certain currency and selling it straightaway as soon as he gets it because he's speculating on a crash on the market.

I want to buy about USD 1,000 + CAD 1,000 worth of BTC.
Unfortunately I can't send as F&F from my account's country but I'll be covering PayPal fees. I'm buying at Preev+0%.
Whoever has better trust sends first or we can use escrow, although of course you'll have to trust me anyway to take PayPal from me.
Edit: If you're planning to make a deal with me just to get positive trust don't even bother.
You have my PM. As I said i'm not interested in that big of an amount, only $50. If you are interested please reply with your address and i'll send the btc right away since you're pretty trusted and seem to be a nice guy. Thanks

I paid some BTC to a person towards number prediction(hack) software. But after payment he did not send the software. First he asked only name, age and country. After payment he said he will send within few hours. But again asked for full details like address, contact no, zip code etc but even after sending the details, he did not send the software nor he is replying to my emails now. Please any one has the same problem

You should have never had the intentions in the first place to scam the casino because the fact that you are willing to hack a casino for the money just proves that you are a naive untrustworthy person. There are no hacks to the games on bitsler, otherwise people would be making millions off the site themselves instead of having to sell the strategy to you, don't you think? And you giving the guy your full personal info is just crazier.... I don't know what drugs you took man honestly.

Sorry if put this on the wrong sub-forum. I don't know where else this topic would fit.
So, for the marketer/advertiser who paying other members to put your ads on their signature space.
Im wondering, do the signature campaign effective ? Like the senior member signature gave you better chance of conversion and everything ?
It depends on what kind of business you are running. But from my experience all the established businesses right now or altcoins have at least ran a signature campaign in the beginning or continues to run a signature campaign. Think bitsler, primedice, bitmixer, yolodice etc. And the businesses that have just an ANN thread in the altcoin or gambling section generally do not go very far. The thing is you are getting very targeted advertising, because if your buseniss is bitcoin related you are able to get 100% traffic that are from bitcointalk, a forum that only people interested in bitcoin would browse. Also you get this good image for your company because you are showing that your business is willing to spend money to promote itself because you are confident in the project.

It's quite scary how much these faucets paid back then. I regret not claiming from it because one of my friends actually told me about bitcoin back in 2010 and i didn't bother listening to him because i thought it was some sort of virtual gaming currency, sort of like Second Life Lindens if you play that game. I've never really looked into it like most people until 2013 when the price spiked and then fell back down again. There were multiple opportunities for people to grab and get cheap/free coins, but most didn't bother. That's why if you want to get rich, always ALWAYS look out for new technology and innovations, don't be afraid to invest a little time each day browsing them

At this pace BTC will hit $5,000 until the end of the year! Every BTC holder must know this: you will own a fortune in a few years!
Is $10,000 reachable? I guess it's clear that it is! (2-3 years)
Is $25,000 reachable? Why not! (5-10 years)
Is $50,000 reachable? Harder but not impossible! (>10 years)
Long term wise i'm very bullish with bitcoin because i believe in the technology and the idea of bitcoin. Decentralisation is a big part of the world in the future in my opinion as more and more people realies that they are just holding onto worthless pieces of fiat currencies and want to invest in something that will hedge their future against a fiat collapse. Bitcoin seems like the logical go to currency, because precious metals are way too complicated, and you have to go through all the verifictaion, make sure the purity is right etc. Hopefully your predictions are correct and we see at least $5000 btc in the near future.
