4921  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Thoughts on changelly on: May 31, 2020, 09:31:39 PM
It's the KYC that scares users away from these exchanges and this Changelly is just one that asks KYC.  I was surprised about this accusation though but I found the exchange reputable because once upon a time CMC had been promoting as an affiliate. I could be wrong about this but I have seen it before where they have a signup button on CMC going to Changelly.

Coinmarketcap has been noted to promote lots of scam and shady ICO before. The community have been calling them out for years, so seeing Changelly being promoted by coinmarketcap doesn't mean that we can trust them.

But I do agree that once they implemented KYC, many crypto enthusiast started to move away from their services. Besides, there are a lot of options now, unlike before where there are less competitions and so they became one of the game changers.

A reputable exchange asks for KYC upfront and that's it. A disreputable one like Changelly springs it on you whenever it feels like it and uses it as an excuse to hide behind. Monero users in particular have had a lot of trouble and Changelly have openly stated they will keep your money if you don't satisfy them.

And look at this fairly new accusations against them, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5251793.0.
4922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH wallets which support more than one address? on: May 31, 2020, 08:54:27 PM
I'm using the Exodus wallet, but I wanted to have more addresses for ethereum. Right now, they only allow for one single address.
The same happened with the Atomic wallet.

I would run a ETH full node but it seems it requires too much computing power. The "myetherwallet" is not a option either, as I need to open the wallet in a website, and I wanted a software which could be installed in my computer, for security reasons. So what options do we have, which allows for more than one address? Any recommendation is welcome.

Have you look at https://mycrypto.com/?

I have a desktop version of this wallet installed.

I'm not running a full node though, But can test it out and see how it goes for you.
4923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: May 31, 2020, 01:52:59 PM
For now if the fight would happen in last quarter of this year then there still lots of time for healing or recovery.

There was already a fight that has been approved scheduled for next month in Vegas, so I guess we will see this fight soon as this is a big fight and people would want to see this while the world is still limited with little movement, big fight will certainly generate big number of PPV, so promoter will push this as soon as possible.

The problem is that every other major sporting event and stadium-type event will also be competing for venue space.

That means it's going to come down to who pays more to secure the slots. That's going to drive prices through the roof, and broadcasters and promoters might not be willing to pay the price to show the event ASAP.

I think we'll still see it this year, but probably not in the next three months or so—even if the restrictions are lifted.

Being a high profile match and the influence of the people behind, I'm sure it is easy for venues to get them priority if the fight happens in US soil. Arum shows that he can pull the plug just to be able to start boxing in this new normal situation, so I don't have doubts that he can do the same with Fury vs Wilder trilogy in US.

As for the left bicep torn injury, as per Wilder he is recovering, so I don't think that it is going to cause a lot of concern entering this fight.
4924  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Free Trading courses for noobs!!! on: May 31, 2020, 01:11:16 PM
Don't get me wrong, so you are providing courses that are supposedly for paid services and then you put it in your telegram group? Isn't it ripping the original author of the courses? This is somewhat 'stealing' the paid content and provide it for free? Or are you paying for it and then uploaded to the channel so that every members can get a copy of their own? Please enlighten us. I will commend you if you are doing the latter.

Agreed. I buy online courses in Udemy to help traders that exert effort to do the online tutorials. This is somehow a piracy because they are using others video content material for there own gain. I will understand if he will share the video to his/her relatives only or make his own video using the context that he learn to that paid tutorial. In that way, he didn't violate any law.

I believe this is the new scheme of signal group to attract traders.

Yes, this is one way to increase their members in Telegram group by providing this supposedly free courses. Indeed we can call this piracy, although there are a lot of marketers are doing this trick when I was in the SEO services way back. I despise this kind of trick and most of the time back in the days, those files contains a lot of malwares and viruses.

So this is like those strategy, with a simply twist to apply to crypto noob traders. So be careful and just go with trusted online courses like Udemy, at least you know that you have a good source of trading courses.
4925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Preparing for the ETH 2.0 PoS? on: May 31, 2020, 12:37:38 PM
Binance's Ethereum holders continue to send ETH to their personal wallets since May 9.
Source: https://twitter.com/mason_jang/status/1266890251596820482?s=20

Obviously, they are waiting for ETH 2.0 this July and hoping that it will create a lot of hype pushing the price to grow and making a lot of money for them. I don't know about the demand though, but it's simply manipulation and pump and dump and then exit to get more profits.

And just today alone, ETH price jumps 10%, I was surprise as we are still far from July. But for those who think that we are in the alt season, I would say that you should wait a little longer. Perhaps we will see what's going to happen after this July if alt market will bounce back and recover for good and will have its bull-run.
4926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Betting this June? on: May 31, 2020, 11:31:42 AM
Would there be a high chance of match fixing due to no crowd? Just a thought.

Match fixing chances does get increased or decreased due to crowd. Even if people do not watch the match live in person, but they can watch it live on TV or later recordings on you tube, so there is not much difference.

I agree, there were rumours before, but it was long time ago and I doubt that there are prevalent today, specially high profile fights. It's really hard to fix it as there are huge money involved and I doubt that everyone involved are to be willing participants because sooner or later it will come up in public and it will affect them negatively as boxers.

And boxing promoters are eager to see the boxing go to make money here, so it doesn't make sense to think about fixing the match with or without the crowd.
4927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: #BitcoinAndBlackAmerica sign on: May 31, 2020, 10:56:24 AM
Perhaps the point by the protesters or at least the one who carry that flag is that bitcoin is freedom from government itself. Maybe they are anticipating that this case could turn no where as the cops who did this could get away with it.

This incident is another wake up call to the US, just sad that another man is killed in the hands of the cop. Really senseless killing and a tragedy.

"Can't we all just get along"Huh
4928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: *SCAM ALERT* Rentberry is going to SCAM on: May 30, 2020, 11:03:54 PM
It's hard to believe ICO's now

What do you mean? ICO have been scamming ever since they pop up like mushroom since 2017.

An old thread and OP always trying to give the latest information about Rentberry project.

You can find 'move topic' at the bottom left corner and move it to scam accusation if you feel the project is deserve to be included as scam project.

You may need to give a proof there, don't just give a speculation. Is there any investor who revelead that he has scammed by this project?

I don't think that the OP will be coming back anytime soon to lock this topic.

The project is obvious scam and seeing them raising a lot of money again? I don't know why investors are still on this project. Amazing that there are investors blindly investing and its very sad to hear that they are going to be scam and those precious money they have investment will be on the hands of the scammers and probably laughing when they cash it out.
4929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a list of companies that will hire and pay solely in Bitcoin on: May 30, 2020, 10:25:31 PM
Maybe this is the one that you are looking for, [Information]Online Job Websites about Crypto and that pays in Crypto.

It's really helpful for people like you who are looking for online jobs that pays in crypto. Goodluck job hunting.
4930  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now Lot of things to focus on BTC!! on: May 30, 2020, 12:55:14 PM
The chart make sense and we clearly see the $10,000 level is too strong resistance, for recent months we already tried to break that $10,000 level but we always ended rejected.
For me, if we will not break $10,000 this time especially on the monthly closed or next week, I am expecting again that we can visit $8,000 level again.

$8800 is a strong resistance, we haven't seen it breach yet, that's why didn't visit lows of $8'ish because of that support. I think the next target is around $9700, before we can see another break out, either have some minor correction again or push to $10k. The bears are making it hard for the market to go to 5 digits again after the halving. For altcoins? I doubt that we are in the altcoin season, majority of them are still way behind their all time high and investors are still looking at bitcoin for now to short.
4931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is good strategy or technique for Toss Coin? on: May 30, 2020, 12:07:35 PM
I would say to go use reverse martingale here and then quit when you are ahead of the game. And we all know that this strategy is either you lose your entire bankroll early or win a good amount in short amount of time. Yes it is a luck base game but chances are if you get everything luck a reverse martingale will surely make you tons of money very quick. How much is the minimal capital though in Philippine Peso?
4932  Economy / Economics / Re: Could CBDCs defeat crypto in the long term? on: May 30, 2020, 10:55:35 AM
I think it spurs from the notion that countries with CBDC will obstruct their people to use cryptocurrencies. I don't think that is correct or not, But countries like China "may" have that in mind, so that they can control and monitor everyone, sort of spying on their people's transaction.

China's digital Yuan will be the big test case here, we're going to see if this is a success or not. And they are banking on the argument that Digital Yuan will strengthen their economy and can broaden their financial structure and cross border payments are going to more efficient.
4933  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you handle losses in trading? on: May 30, 2020, 10:29:43 AM
Knowing when to take profits is a skill on its own.
Greed effect sets in every now and then. Just focus on a reasonable target.

Yeah, and it's really hard to learn it, others have experience but it's not a the only thing that will let you know when to get out. I guess one strategy that I use is to have a exit plan, at least if I have achieved my it, I will simply get out and not look back.

No regrets whatsoever if the price continue to increase after I sold off. It's not the nature of crypto, very volatile and unpredictable. And you mentioned greed, yes, that's another emotions that we traders need to get ahold of. We should unless not to get carry but this emotions because in most cases it will spell between a successful trade and profits and losing more money in the end.
4934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung partnered with Gemini on: May 29, 2020, 11:03:04 PM
Samsung have been integrating a lot of altcoins in their wallet since they launch their mobile based blockchain wallet. And I think they made a bold move here by partnering with Gemini which is one of the well known exchanges in the market right now.

However, one drawback that I see here is the price, but for those people who can afford their latest model that supports this, then I guess there's no problem. For for average joe like me, it's quite expensive and I would rather use that money to bring more capital to more trading funds, just saying.

@Rengga Jati - Perhaps US and Canada are the first target here and probably it will be roll out to Asia as well in the next iteration.
4935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Check your eth wallet address for some token valuation on: May 29, 2020, 01:28:00 PM
If I may add, not just those two ETH blockchain explorers that needs to be check, but your wallet as well. Recently, I saw some threads about user asking how to open their MEW wallet because the interface has change. So that will really bring a lot of issues if you haven't check your wallets for a long time because of the long bearish trend of altcoin market.

Its easy to check your ETH wallet for some token valuation, and if ever you have tokens that has a good price then how can you sell them if you are not familiar with the new MEW wallet design?
4936  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will governments do next to manipulate Bitcoin? on: May 29, 2020, 12:36:50 PM
I doubt that governments are into bitcoin and manipulating it on their favour. Perhaps there are few countries who are into investing just to test the waters so to speak. But to invest their funds and manipulate it? Nah.

Besides, there are a lot of governments who wants to put heavy regulations on bitcoin, so they are just contradicting themselves here. Yes, they love blockchain technology, in fact China and the US are the leading blockchain patent applications but it doesn't mean that they are going to ease up their framework as far as regulating bitcoin.
4937  Economy / Economics / Re: If Recession Kicks In, How Will Bitcoin Perform? on: May 29, 2020, 11:56:15 AM
Hello Everyone,

I guess I am just being curious here. Bitcoin was born after the 2008 recession in which many Bitcoin loyalists have argued that Bitcoin was born to cushion the effect of a possible future recession. What are your prediction and analysis concerning the digital asset if for any reason we witness just another deep recession in 2020? Will Bitcoin go down with the global market?

The looming crisis is just around the corner, almost all of the economy around us are in the brink of collapse like the US. And there are predictions that it will take like 5 years for their economy to fully recover and restored pre Covid-19, but it is debatable though.

Regardless, crypto assets will still be there as an alternative to precious metals like Gold to be a hedge against this financial collapse. And this is another good test specially for bitcoin if it can hold the supposedly Gold 2.0. But we can't really tell at this point, but so far we have passed the test already and we have seen how resilient bitcoin is, so there a good chance that we will survived in another global meltdown happen worst than 2008.
4938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson vs Holyfield Charity Fight on: May 29, 2020, 11:33:50 AM
Out of curiosity I looked up Tyson online and damn he looks old. Think last I saw him was in one of those Hangover movies, though my memory now reminds me even that's some years back. Videos suggest he's been keeping extra fit Schwarzenegger style, though, so I suppose there are a few vanity matches left in him.

Make no mistake, this will be a charity match with both opponents taking it easy. I'd bet on a draw or win on points for the more popular one aka Tyson.

Probably it's because Mike Tyson or at least his camp is interested on a cross-sport boxing match.

Quote
Ortiz is not the only MMA fighter looking to get in there with Tyson. Former UFC champions Ken Shamrock and Andrei Arlovksi have expressed their interest as well. Evander Holyfield, James Toney and Shannon Briggs are among the boxers who are angling to face Tyson.

Tyson's team members have been in contact with numerous parties - which they are keeping under wraps for the moment.

https://www.boxingscene.com/tito-ortiz-says-he-approached-fight-mike-tyson--149076

So he needs to be very fit if ever one of those name participants say "YES". Could be the fight is just for charity, Iron Mike wanted to bring his A-game. But as far as supporting his fight with Holyfield, for sure they will be a lot of people who are going to do so, not just boxing fans.
4939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you donate in a casino? on: May 29, 2020, 10:40:32 AM
So my question here is, if you are a person who is willing to donate, what choice would you rather use:
  • Participate in special charity programs or
  • Like to have a permanent possibility to donate straight on the casino site?

No offense, but I would go directly to a special charity program rather than go straight on a casino site.

Casino is a big company and have profited too much money already, they themselves can donate to the tune of millions of dollars, no need for them to have a charity to get some money. I know the their reasons is good from behind, no doubt about it. But logically speaking, they can do it without the help of outsider, just saying.
