Bitcoinorama: so, there are still around 1,000 units to be shipped? Wow, that's 500TH/s to be added yet to the network, add to that the competitors machines... Boy, ROI is going to be hard, but nevertheless that's not KnC's fault, its just as it is. As I said many times, I expect a 2014 similar to 2012 in terms of hashrate, meaning pleateau and then decline because of unprofitability... That if BTC exchange rate is stable (as it happened in 2012), if it grows obviously the story changes. Anyhow, good job Bitcoinorama. Hope you could finally found yourself a position inside KnC, maybe you could be their "josh", but much nicer and way more reasonable ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I would say only 500TH/s -I expected much more - this is good news in imho ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) ### ROI looks good imo

Note sure if I missed it in the last 200 pages but has anyone recorded wattage at the wall with a kill-a-watt or similar device? If it is better than the estimated 1.8 J/GH I would like to update the power thread.
U can check this out - https://i.imgur.com/ILgPsPG.jpg?1That is useful 455W @ 12VDC and assume PSU is 90% efficient means ~505W at the wall or ~1GH/J. Still would like to see some at the wall measurements from users in the field. Thos could be useful for your hashrate-thread: Orama: There's actually approx a 1,000 units left. There has been over local 100 pick-ups (well 100 units picked-up), over 400 physically shipped, and a chunk dedicated to hosting.

KNC, time to share the problems you are having. People WILL help.
You don't even have to take a hit on your ego, just word your request for help something like this:
--- KNC here. We are having trouble making our flux capacitor twang the DC/DC VRM knick knack.
We know we can fix it ourselves, but in the interests of time, we are sharing the problem to the brilliant bitcoin community.
If in the next 48 hours you can help us get the flux capacitor twanger to level off at 0.8, we are offering 10BTC bounty. Pictures/readout to follow. ---
Simple as that. Just describe the problem(s) and let us get involved! I'm sure you don't even need to offer a bounty, but it could help.
Thats right! Im not angry because i still dont have ma day 2 miner. Im angry because i dont know WHY i still dont have my miner! This is true for me too, probably everyone. COMMUNICATION seems to be their weakest part.

the only reasonable sentence i see is you asking for a refund. they should do that to keep you from hyperventilating.

Here was the email from customer service 7 hours ago: From: Customer Service <customerservice@kncminer.com> Date: October 8, 2013, 8:13:29 AM CDT
HI,
There will be a new firmware update in the next few hours. Please make sure this is applied and come back should the issue remain.
Should you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thanks
Emilia
Med vänlig hälsning | Best regards Emilia Cole Kncminer www.kncminer.comI've got two Jupiters hashing just above 500GH and one barely above 300GH with massive HW failures. Am hoping .94 will help. i am afraid that the current fw actually may be damaging the hardware and am therefore also looking forward to 0.94

To the folks that are having issues with the .93 and .92 releases.. how stable is your internet connection? I have found that any hickups in internet connectivity causes a CGminer reboot.
mmm it seems quite stable to me but I didn't monitored closely. the only thing I could says is that cgminer restart once every 30-60s with both 0.92/93. If 0.94 won't solve the issue at hand I will monitor colo internet connection properly. so cgminer restarts and not just single cores??

We should have went with KnC miners.
Figures that I chose another BFL.
Ha! I'm hardware neutral and I've dealt with both companies. One (BFL) is permanently banned from my at-cost Miners Cooperative Group Buys, and the other one has about $30K of our Co-op's BTC for 2 Baby Jets and 2 Sierras thanks to the MPP and pricing. HashFast has been *nothing* like BFL in all of my dealings with them. John S. doesn't go out of his way to belittle or berate his paid customers on forums, and I've found him & their Customer Service to be professional (if a bit slow, at times, due to their small team size). Please don't toss HF into the same boat as BFL and Avalon until they've actually done something, anything, that intentionally hurts the miner community like BFL and Avalon. We will see how it goes. I dont much care how they treat people in a niche market. That is emotional and irrelevant. Simply perform. Thats all I ask. I've seen absolutely no performance from HashFast. I've seen words. When I see people getting the product they paid for, THEN its performance. Until then, I see BFL. They hold they key to their own cage. I don't understand why you are so bitter. HashFast claims they are on schedule. They never promised to deliver before Oct 20. KNC did promise shipping in September and their first units did not go out to Octoboer, so while it was a just few days, they were actually late. Also KNC was priced significantly higher than HashFast. I personally have a order from both companies and I'm happy with them so far. I also own Avalon and BFL miners and I am EXTREMELY unhappy with both of them. I am mentally preparing myself for the inevitable. I always get screwed in these deals. OK, i never get screwed in these deals. And i am also invested in hashfast. So...

Does anyone who owns a kncminer live near Kano or cklovas, that can work with him for a decent/improved/overclocked.. set of drivers? I'd be willing to donate to kano/cklovas for them to work on this...
it seems to remember then on knc forum or irc someone (maybe asic-k, but I could be mistaken) offered his mercury to ckolivas for a few day. definitely a good idea and of course I'm too more than ready to donate. i would donate 0.4 btc ofcourse only if the job gets done innert lets say 2 weeks max. better would be 10 days but i have no clue how long those things usually need.

Hi Orama,
nice to hear from you and appreciate your trip report.
Nevertheless the fire-happenings i think you are making yourself a little to comfortable here.
There definetly IS an issue with hardware/software that has to be sorted out by KNC.
I haven't been in the loop. Don't the latest firmwares fix everything? Does the hashing just periodically stop? The popped caps happend with 0.92 , 0.92 and 0.93 fw. So nothing is sorted out here. I am presently running 0.93 on my unit at home. I notice that I am getting better performance if I can ventilate the air out of the case. The primary reason I feel that this works is that the board components themselves are sitting in stagnant heat with the default CFM fans. I will keep my first impressions post active with the results over the next few days. You can follow it at the link below if you wish. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=306969.0thx! in the german subforum one guy was talking about fans working against each other. (??)
