4941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: April 07, 2016, 08:51:04 AM
This is all relative and it depends on your own view on morality. Some people view it as a sin, some not and it's impossible to say who is right or wrong...
In my opinion it's not a sin and I do not think it's immoral.
I slightly disagree with you, I feel that gambling is a sin, it is because he can make a person lose his mind and become insane if he was totally hooked
I understand what you are saying and it's your right to believe that gambling is a sin. But I would argue that in the example you've given, it's more because of certain personality traits of the person in question that causes the addiction.

I think it's wrong to put blame on gambling for causing people to get addicted, this may sound harsh, but I think addicts themselves are responsible for getting addicted.
And I say this as a recovering addict (not gambling), it's easy to blame substances, gambling or whatever other vice, but accepting responsibility is really important towards fixing your situation.
4942  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: April 06, 2016, 10:59:38 AM
Oh yes absolutely.
I'm investing on bitcoin every month by spending 10% of monthly salary to buy it since I TRUST bitcoin as my future investation.
Bitcoin value quite stable recently, so you guys won't be regret for investing into bitcoin since bitcoin is unique that will be use globally on the future

im never buying from my salary in real work, im just earning bitcoin and hold it some bits for future.i know bitcoin work perfect and i beleive bitcoin can survive.

If you really do believe then you would do that too. I too have the same idea with him. Spare money from my salary goes to bitcoin. Saving while investing is the idea of it making my savings grow in the days that are coming.

That's a good briefing about how you believe. One who spends his income in bitcoin has got the hope it will grow and yield profit. If people starts in the same manner in no time bitcoin goes high.

Thank you. Just one point for readers. Please save some for yourselves. I mean for your daily needs. Dont put it all here. Have some emergency money in cash. There will be times that you will need some fiat and cant get some because you put it all here.
Good luck guys.

Yes you right. Me, myself have 3 seperate wallet. 1 for investing and gambling, 1 for buying my daily things and 1 for emergency, if someday i need it. i have 3 wallet because i believe in bitcoin.
Well, that's one aspect of Bitcoin that I really like: the ability to make as many wallets as you like, each with their own specific security measures.
And I think we've now reached a point where it's safe to say that Bitcoin is here to stay.

Reasons enough to believe in Bitcoin, I'd think Smiley
4943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Circle expands to Europe on: April 06, 2016, 10:55:34 AM
I haven't used Circle much aside from the first week that it launched, I think I just used the $10 promotion.

But it's good news that they're expanding over to Europe, I'd also like to know what advantages it has over paypal..

4945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar Opened , your first impressions ? on: April 06, 2016, 10:45:39 AM
Based on this current version, I don't think it could compete with Ebay yet. I'd be happy if there are like 1000+ stores on there with a good selection of interesting physical items.
I think they need to work on their UI, I'm not a big fan of it.

Here's a big list, curated by a redditor, it's inclusive and impartial.

That list is amazing, very comprehensive and pretty accurate, and very nice that you can see the country where it's based.
Thanks for sharing!
4947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gambling is Exploding on: April 06, 2016, 10:35:00 AM
Like it or not, gambling is a big part of what fuels the popularity of Bitcoin, especially considering how transparant some bitcoin gambling sites are and the lack of regulations.
4948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: April 06, 2016, 10:31:41 AM
If I would be rich I would have gamble for fun, and when you have money in your pocket you try to find new ways to spend and gambling can be one of it.
It is true, as we become wealthier we certainly confused to spend money, because all the needs that we want always fulfilled due to the rich. And gambling is also one to spend money, but heavy addiction towards gambling will impact very negatively for life!!!
Yeah, the impact of gambling could be so much bigger when you're, say, a billionaire. Imagine getting addicted and gambling away your last 100 million dollars with 5 million dollar bets.

What is the point of this thread, there are many more threads like this, use the search function.
I mean you don't even add a story, just one simple sentence.
4950  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to manage money? on: April 06, 2016, 10:25:19 AM
Managing your money in a correct way requires discipline, I really struggle to not spend more than I want to spend, but it helps to keep money in Bitcoin cold storage.
The hassle of getting that money out prevents me from spending those bitcoins.
4951  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Promising bitcoin projects? on: April 06, 2016, 10:19:33 AM
Hello guys,

I'd like to us you what projects are you closely following? What could help develop bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies?

Personally I'm waiting for OpenBazaar final release , I'm pretty sure it will beat eBay and give Bitcoin a boost .

OpenBazaar was just launched:
https://blog.openbazaar.org/openbazaar-is-open-for-business/

How many years do you think it will take to become bigger than eBay?

Wanted to post the same. Smiley
OpenBazaar official launched today.
The first decentralized Bitcoin marketplace.
Already downloaded and going to check it out the next few hours.
I've been following this since the first alpha days and I'm super excited that we're finally seeing the first full release.
Trying to set up a shop to test things out and it's all relativily easy, though maybe not for non-technical users.
4952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: /btc is full of hypocrites or shills on: April 06, 2016, 10:15:59 AM
It's pretty funny they say that this forum is heavily censored, this is one of the least censored forums that I know of.
Either way, I haven't been much of a fan of Reddit lately, it's gotten pretty toxic in general, though there are some good subreddits left, /r/btc is not one of them.

This is actually a really good idea, I'm even more impressed that it came from a former CEO of Mozilla and that it will be privacy focussed.

4956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: DICE??!! on: March 21, 2016, 01:02:57 PM
I do not tend to look at the numbers a lot when playing dice, but when playing roulette, I always bet something on either 5 or 32.
4957  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: March 21, 2016, 12:58:00 PM
Back in 2011 or 2012 IIRC, PTC sites are taking some spotlight in the online earning opportunities.

If you are regularly doing some PTC task in several PTC sites, you will noticed some bitcoin ads back then about 2-3 ads per run. Smiley
I remember seeing ads about Bitcoin on various technical, computer related blogs and website back in late 2012, early 2010.
Also it was mentioned on Reddit and in a few podcasts.

4959  Economy / Reputation / Re: Negative Trust - LUTPIN - Why? on: March 19, 2016, 12:29:14 PM
OP has a point... Maybe if he was promoting a ponzi that isnt a ponzi game within investor games subforum?
Still, this doesn't take away the fact that Lutpin is within his right to post a negative feedback, his comments are not false or anything.
4960  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Revolvers: The Ultimate Multiplayer Gambling Experience! on: March 18, 2016, 02:41:13 PM
The design looks pretty nice actually. I also like the fact that there's no rake for multiplayer games. Good job!
