I've been taking C60 daily for two months now. Feel fkn amazing.

Did you have a specific complaint before you began taking C60?

Anyway, don't put the iodine in a glass of water because the entire glass of water will taste terrible and it becomes a chore to drink it all every day.  It's better to put it in a shot glass with half an ounce of water or juice.  Honestly though, I've been taking a drop of iodine daily for a few months now and I don't feel any differently.  I'm going to have to kick it up a notch.

Not a chore for me at all; use it to gulp down my vitamins and prescriptions every morning. Getting used to the taste. Almost becoming a "pleasantly medicinal bouquet"

I've tasted much, MUCH worse. Trust me on that one, brother.

Looking to increase to two drops per glass every morning starting next week.

Thanks.  I'm going to try it.  I feel more lethargic than usual after night shifts these days.

Not even Bob with all his zillions could tank the market in online companies that provide dietary information about the use of a gluten and casein free diet.

Hey man, I was looking at that for, like, a really health-conscious friend. Or whatever. I can totally eat all the casein I want. Roll Eyes

Such a druggie. It does tie in though with old wive's tales ( or are they?) -Bread 'makes you sleepy'; Cheese 'gives you vivid dreams'.

Grains and dairy are generally two of the hardest foodstuffs to digest. My friend on a medical diet tells me that the enzymes responsible for breaking them down are found on the tips of the villi which weaken as we age. TMI but there you have it.

Sadly, the only thing that doesn't weaken as we age is b.o.

#random: I read the entire document.

I've been doing some reading into this "gluten issue" lately after seeing an old thread pop up again on 4chan.

tl;dr: Part of me is wondering how much of this goes back to the time when the industry switched to bromated flours (instead of iodized) and adding fluoride to water - Have recently started taking a 5% Lugol's Iodine drop every morning in a glass of water to detox myself.

Put on your tin-foil hats before proceeding.

Previous thread ghosted. Go buy Lugol’s iodine (it’s been around over 100 years) it’s on Amazon. If you think I’m a Lugol’s shill get a knock-off, I don’t give a fuck. -Take two drops of it every day in a glass of water -Along with it, take a good Selenium, Zinc, and Magnesium supplement (important for metabolizing iodine) -Finally, take a teaspoon of sea salt and dissolve in two ounces of water and swallow (you will detox bromide and it will make you feel bad for a few days if you don’t do this, salt binds to the bromide and you won’t get sick, hospitals do this all the time)

Do this every morning. The benefits generally take from 30 minutes to a couple of days to become evident. You will feel healthier than you’ve felt in years.
Fast forward to now. Most Americans have decided that table salt is shit because it contains no trace minerals. That’s true. The problem is that sea salt contains no iodine. Go to your kitchen right now and look at your sea salt, you will find a warning that it lacks iodine, “a critical nutrient.”
In order to make up for that deficiency, you are eating all the iodized table salt you can find everywhere else, which means you are craving total shit food all the time.

Not only that, but bromide and fluoride (and other iodine competitors) are much more prevalent than ever. They are in pesticides sprayed on foods, preservatives, aerosols, etc. So while your exposure to them has increased, your intake of iodine has decreased.

Symptoms of iodine deficiency include: Fatigue, insomnia, hair-trigger mood swings, obsessive-compulsive behavior, lack of energy (especially for physical tasks), lack of motivation (especially for physical tasks), listlessness, social anxiety, panic attacks, lethargy, all symptoms of hypothyroidism, all symptoms of hypoadrenalism, iodized salt cravings (especially in junk food). There are more but those are the big ones.

Women who are iodine deficient are at much higher risks of birth defects (autism).

The bottom line is that you're all deficient in Iodine. Before you click back, READ. Dr. Brownstein (I know I know, -stein) conducted a study of 6,000 of his patients and discovered 94% of Americans are iodine deficient. That was 15 years ago.

In the early 1900's the United States stopped iodinating bread and instead began to use bromide as a replacement. Bromide and Iodine compete for uptake in the thyroid. The human body (and especially the thyroid) uses iodine for more than 160 (currently known) critical functions. At the time, flour was the #1 source of iodine in the US because we don't eat much kelp/seaweed and not all fish contain much (plus we're beef eaters). Once we switched to brominated flour, a goiter epidemic broke out.

It became a national crisis. You've never heard of it, but it happened. In order to stop the epidemic you would think they would iodinate flour again, but no. Instead they started iodinating table salt, aka iodized table salt. The goiter epidemic was basically quashed at that point.

Fast forward to 1945, water flouridation begins. Flouride also competes with iodine in the thyroid. Americans become woefully iodine insufficient.

What happens next? Like any animal, we graze the minerals we need. Where is iodized table salt found? Salted pretzels. Potato chips. French fries.

There's a reason iodine is one of the only critical nutrients not reported on nutrient labels. There's a reason they decided to use table salt to deliver it (promote cravings for sales of junk food).

Here is one person's genuine experience with Iodine, there are thousands of posts like this all over the internet:

http://www.longecity.org/forum/topic/67063-iodine-is-magical-miracle-most-underrated-supplement/

Here is Dr. Brownstein himself giving a quick rundown:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afZg2jzHuCs [Open] But why the food and drug administration allows an additive that causes kidney cancer in rats and possibly in humans? Potassium bromate is classified as a category 2B carcinogen (possibly carcinogenic to humans) by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC).[5] Potassium bromate has been banned from use in food products in the European Union, Argentina, Brazil,[6] Canada, Nigeria, South Korea, Peru and some other countries. It was banned in Sri Lanka in 2001,[7] China in 2005,[citation needed] and India on 20 June 2016.[8] In the United States of America, it has not been banned. The FDA sanctioned the use of bromate before the Delaney clause of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act—which bans potentially carcinogenic substances— went into effect in 1958. But since 1991 the FDA has urged bakers to voluntarily stop using it. In California a warning label is required when bromated flour is used.[9] Japanese baked goods manufacturers stopped using potassium bromate voluntarily in 1980; however, Yamazaki Baking resumed its use in 2005, claiming they had new production methods to reduce the amount of the chemical which remained in the final product.[10]

I had no idea about iodine counteracting fluoride, but i'll share what i do know about iodine! The thyroid uses iodine to make thyroid hormone. Thyroid hormone clears cholesterol out of your blood into your poop. While there are many, many things that can cause high cholesterol numbers, in the US, the majority of people simply aren't getting enough iodine.

Doctors don't tell you this. Instead they tell you to take a statin, which only masks the cholesterol problem. Whatever caused the high problem is still an issue, so if your cholesterol was high due to not getting enough iodine, your probably still not getting enough iodine.

Iodine dissipates out of salt pretty quickly, there isn't nearly as much in salt as you are les to believe. Your best source of iodine in food is seafood and seaweed.

With iodine, its a good idea to start low and slowly build up dosage. I took iodine for a couple years due to high cholesterol. I started at 225 nmg, and added another 225 nmg per month until i got to 2025 nmg ( or 2 mg) Then i developed insomnia. I backed down to 1800 nmg and insomnia went away. You'll know when you take too much iodine. Btw, it worked! my cholesterol is normal now!

Interesting... but wtf are nmg?  Based on the conversion offered (2025nmg = 2 mg) I would say the author means mcg or micrograms.

My mate has two tickets for the final of the World Cup 2018 but he is getting married on that day and cannot attend.

Re, foodstuffs, for what it's worth, thai food is small portions yet filling. I lose weight every time I take a trip to Thailand.

Same thing happens to me when I travel to Mexico.  It's referred to as Montezuma's revenge, the Gringo Gallop and sometimes the Aztec Two-Step ... what do they call it in Thailand?

Miners don't need anything like $6000/BTC to remain profitable.

I'd put it closer to $2000, even lower if you take the money laundering angle into account.

Let's try to figure this out.

...

  US $2045.18

...

Thanks for the analysis. While it should be obvious to most, this model employs electricity as the only cost to mining. Of course, we know this is not the case. I wouldn't know what capital acquisition, cooling, rent, plant, maintenance, labor, etc might add to the cost.

Well, it's easy to calculate the electricity costs since the miner efficiency is known.

Take the cost of Canaan's Avalon 841 Bitcoin miner @ $710 with a MOQ of 40 as an example.  At today's difficulty it would take over 300 days with the ultra low Hydro-Quebec rate I cited earlier to cover the cost of the miners after paying only electricity.  Today's difficulty is key here - it only rises which proportionally increases the time to recoup the cost of the miner. Without even considering the other costs you cited, I don't see a viable business model.  I believe that only the manufacturers of miners are able to do this and the ones who sell batches to the public to offset their costs probably have a leg up on those that do not.

Suffice it to say that my electricity-cost-only to mine a Bitcoin with a 0.1 J/GH machine would be slightly over US$6600 today but I haven't mined Bitcoin since the days of the KNC Jupiter.

Miners don't need anything like $6000/BTC to remain profitable.

I'd put it closer to $2000, even lower if you take the money laundering angle into account.

Let's try to figure this out.

 I'll assume that most of the network is made up of miners similar to the Antminer S9 running @ ~0.1 J/GH;

Presently, it requires 45,724 kWh to produce a single Bitcoin.  One of the cheapest places in the world for electricity is Quebec, Canada and the best possible rate - class LG customers (large load and not primarily related to an industrial activity) - shows a base rate of $0.0343 per kWh plus $13.14 per kW (which works out to an additional $0.01825 /kWh based on a steady 24/7 consumption) for a total of

   $0.05255 per kWh before taxes

+ $0.0068315 per kWh tax (13% harmonized tax**)
-----------------
   $0.0593815 per kWh

Multiply that by the 45,724 kWh required per Bitcoin

CAD $2715.1597 which means the electricity costs alone for one Bitcoin are

  US $2045.18

It should be noted that you need 1,361 Antminer S9s to do this today but the network difficulty has increased by an average of 7.8% per diff reset period over the previous 12 months so the cost will increase significantly as the network grows.  In fact, in about 10 hours, it's going to cost ~US$2110.00 to mine one Bitcoin in Montreal, Quebec at the best possible rate.

**actual tax rate may be slightly higher as this number is based on HST in Ontario where the provincial tax portion of the HST is slightly lower than the provincial tax portion in Quebec.

This could be lots of fun. Think of Bitcoin or even any other crypto. If most of society were to switch all Fiat over and into Bitcoin or another crypto. Thinking on the Peer to Peer aspects.

Tell 4 to 5 things on how life be different if all went to a decentralized Peer to Peer currency.

talk about the impact on education? crime? family life? how each community is governed? poverty? wealth? environment? or if you wish write this out as a small paragraph even as a life for people in a decentralized society of peer to peer payments?

could be a fun vision? look forward to hear all your minds work.

Come on! What are we doing your homework for you?
This sounds like the format for every school assignment I've ever seen.

I was in Toronto at the beginning of the month. Had a great meal at Hy's downtown. Don't know why I didn't think to look any of y'all up.

Nice.  Hy's is a classic.  When I used to live in TO (Yonge and St. Clair area), I would not have had the money to eat there.  Well, I might have but I would have had to forgo a few necessities... such as rent money Wink  I guess I'll be dating myself but I paid $50 a week for a room with a private bath and shared cooking facilities; needless to say, I ate out frequently.  If I splurged, it would have been at The Old Spaghetti Factory, The Pickle Barrel or Mr. GreenJeans (Eaton's center).  The one time I went to a steakhouse in Toronto, I took a girl (before we went to the Queen/Billy Squier concert), and the maître D' looked at us and said (after looking down at my running shoes) "This is a dining room you know!" to which I replied "Yes, I know."  In hindsight, I wish he had said, "You really can't afford this, my friend", because I had to spend my souvenir t-shirt money on dinner.  It was a good steak but the bill and tip was nearly two weeks rent money - I ate a lot of peanut butter sandwiches over the next couple of weeks.

It would be difficult for me to get downtown on a whim since I'm in the GTA, I work a weird continental shift and my wife has enrolled my daughter into every extracurricular activity known to man (and possibly some unknown to man) but I could try.  I think it would be cool to meet some of the faces behind the names.

It's time to buy!  Anybody know where i can find the lowest fee bitcoin atm in toronto?

Geez. I always panic the other way. Nerves of steel, you people.
From my experience in the fat city most of your options are around Chinatown. There's a foreign currency exchange on the corner of Spadina and Dundas that buys and sells at what seems like a reasonable premium.

But ask Jimbo. He's the king of the atm ring.

Thanks for the info.  I wish I could find Jimbo's favourite ATM - it seemed to have reasonable fees based on the experiences he shared.
I'm looking for a machine that doesn't want my personal info and I think Jimbo's machine fits that bill if you do less than $3500.

The couple I've come across lately require you to stick your finger in a hole. The times they are a-changin'.

I'm not averse to sticking a finger or two into a hole but not if it is for the purpose of capturing identifying prints.
There's a Lamassu machine in Port Hope with fees of 1.2% - which is awesome.  I might have to take a road trip.  Can't tell if there are ID requirements or not which boggles my mind.  This info should be easily available for any machine!  Oh well, I'll have to check it out in person.
