503  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU+USA facility - need samples for one board on: September 04, 2013, 09:56:38 PM
Hi

Don't quote me on this but the price of the board itself fully assembled will be someone around the range of $500.00

We will have a definitive price soon, but this will give you an idea of what to expect.

-JJ

Does that include the chip assembly, or just $500 from the factory to you

512  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Single air flow? on: September 02, 2013, 08:21:19 PM
I have 4 Jalapenos, and I arrange them in a stack of 2 open case (so two stacks, one on top of each other). If I leave it the way it is, it runs about 40C, if i put two fans next to them in a push pull manner, they drop 6C to about 34... So the two fans do make a difference believe it or not.. Also the push pull config fans are pointed in the direction of the heatsink grooves..

where is that usb port we were all hearing about?

eHHHH, not impressed... Thought they would come out with something new and exciting... its like the iphone 4 and iphone 4S but the S this time stands for SLOW lol

But I'll probably still buy a few

What's the advantage to having a USB port over ethernet?  So you have to leave your PC on all the time too?

Would've been nice to hook it up to a Raspberry Pi, and use CGminer.. Its just a nicer and cleaner setup, then with ethernet cables everywhere, and having to go to each individual IP to see the status..

516  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Experimenting with Jalapeno firmware... on: September 01, 2013, 02:08:57 AM
It actually did come with some nice sleeving. It was pretty stiff and hard to deal with inside the cramped Jalapeno case, though. So just cut the sleeve off, far easier to route the fan ribbon cable inside the case without it.

And yeah made a huge difference in noise, really happy with the fan. The stock one was unbearable.

i hear you, but although that stock fan is loud, it hauls butt and moves a lot of air
