501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Want to sell some ZCG and SGR on: January 07, 2018, 04:07:55 AM
Hello. I am having some issues due to a lack of ethereum (gas) and knowledge to use etherdelta. I have now tried quite a few times and failed. Coinexchange.io also gives an error bc of my IP, which I'm assuming is bc I'm in the US.

I want to trade some SGR and/or ZCG for some ethereum.

SGR - 500 for $400 (hit $1.1 last night)
ZCG - 100 for $200 (hit $2.5 last night)

If interested please send me a PM or respond here. I would like to get the ether sent to my coinbase account and I can transfer the SGR and ZCG to your mew account from mine.

Is there any way to stop a pending withdrawal in my coinpot account? I withdrew to a scam site and want to prevent the transaction from getting there if possible. It is still pending after 2+ days... 300k satoshi  Huh Embarrassed
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Transfer airdrops from MEW directly into Etherdelta? on: December 22, 2017, 09:11:28 PM
Are you serious? The OP is clearly saying that he does not have ethereum in there to set a little gas for sending the tokens to etherdelta, how are you still suggesting him to use metamask without gas?

Metamask allows you to set the minimum possible gas limit and gas price. Before the Cryptokitties I used to set 100k limit and 0.1 gwei.

Yes, and now more than the whole ethereum blockchain is completely saturated, i sent a payment today and it took more than 15 minutes to get the 12 confirmations, and it normaly gets all those confirmations in less than five minutes.

But not it's better to check the current average gas price before depositing, otherwise your transaction will fail immideately and you'll just loose the gas.

And forgive me about asking, but in what airdrops have you been into? Because $100 is a lot of money compared to the crap airdrops that we are seeing in here everyday.

Thanks for all the replies. I am still obviously stuck without any eth and no cash to buy any. Hopefully I will figure this out and make a little eth somehow and transfer to my MEW account so I can send the airdrop tokens to etherdelta and trade them...

The airdrops that I have that are actually worth something are:

SGR
eREAL
eGAS
ZCG
506  Other / Beginners & Help / Withdrew from Coinpot to scam site - "Pending" after 2 days - Help Please! on: December 22, 2017, 08:51:08 PM
So I saved 300k satoshi over the course of 2 months and had been very careful with doing anything with it up until 2 days ago. A friend suggested I try a new site called Colobit.biz and do it for just 15 days to make some extra btc from my saved satoshi. I looked up a bunch of reviews on it and I thought it was legit. Now all the sites have basically changed their status from "PAYING" .. not a scam - to " NOT PAYING"...scam. My withdrawal was from my coinpot wallet and therefore I have no real control over the transaction. It it being sent to this colobit wallet. The transaction was without a fee (free) and I'm guessing that it was sent by coinpot using the least amount of mining fee as possible.

Is there anything I can do about this to get my satoshi back before it hits colobit wallet and I lose it forever to a scam? It took me over 100 hours to get this and I am pretty stressed out right now Sad

I read somewhere that if the mining fee is too low, after 2 weeks the btc will hit your account again. I am afraid though because it is coinpot's wallet that it will just keep getting sent out until it gets picked up by the blockchain.

PLEASE HELP!  Huh Embarrassed Cry
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your altcoin goes up 50%. Options: on: December 19, 2017, 11:36:13 PM
In the last week I have seen some of my altcoins rise up over 250%, then go all the way back down to under 10%....if I had taken the change to sell them during the climb, the re-buy once they reset again, I would have made a decent profit. In the future I will try and set a % I am looking for and once it hits I will sell and then buy again with those profits once it crashes back down again. With this market being so volatile you can certainly make a ton of cash doing what I just described. It would take a lot of patience and discipline though.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 7000$ to invest for 2018 on: December 19, 2017, 11:29:03 PM
I have 7k$ to invest for 2018, I'm looking for the next big potential (as everyone I believe Cheesy).
Need your best suggestions !

I looking for POWR and ARK, but maybe you have a better opportunities ?

Buy some Crypterium asap and get into the Sirin Labs ICO. Sirin Labs has already raised $125 million....which as far as I know is the most ever raised by an ICO (and by a long ways). Crypterium will be the payment gateway infrastructure set up for the future of cryptocurrency and Sirin Labs will be the new line of hardware which the industry leans on for security, ease of use, etc. These are your VERY BEST investments with that kind of cash to do right now. PM me if you need some more info.
509  Other / Archival / Re: How to earn ETH from Cryptokitties on: December 19, 2017, 11:25:58 PM
Look for the next game to come out similar to this one and get in right from the start. I would say that this game isn't dead, but it certainly is past the gold mine status it reached a week ago. if you get into cryptokitties now you are chasing the dragon and just becoming a part of a system where the pioneers are making a killing and you are left scratching your head. I would say avoid this one but look for others like it.
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who uses myetherwallet? on: December 19, 2017, 11:22:24 PM
I use this wallet primarily for airdrops since the tokens usually have to go into an ERC20 wallet. I will mention though I have come across a bit of a snag lately. I got a few airdrops worth some cash and now they are stuck in my MEW account since I have no ether in there for gas to get them out. I don't think there is any other option though as most airdrops frown on you using an exchange wallet for the airdrop and they probably wouldn't even allow it. SO yeah, I use this wallet for airdrops.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Transfer airdrops from MEW directly into Etherdelta? on: December 19, 2017, 11:20:10 PM
Install Metamask extention for Chrome and import your wallet there. Then open EtherDelta, choose your wallet account in Metamask and you'll be able to deposit a token directly from your wallet even without adding it as a custom token in MyEtherWallet. Metamask allows you to set the minimum possible gas limit and gas price. Before the Cryptokitties I used to set 100k limit and 0.1 gwei. But not it's better to check the current average gas price before depositing, otherwise your transaction will fail immideately and you'll just loose the gas.

Helpful, thanks.

So no matter what I will need ether in my MEW account to do this it seems?
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Planning to invest 1btc on altcoin, whats your choice? on: December 19, 2017, 11:15:58 PM
There is a big question here though...are you looking to invest into an ICO or an already established coin? If an ICO I would look into BitDegree, Sirin Labs, and Darico. If an already established coin, I would go with LTC, Ripple, Ethereum, or Binance. It would probably be wise to wait for LTC and Ethereum to pull back a bit before choosing them since they have recently spiked pretty hard.
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any other forums that have bounty hunts? on: December 19, 2017, 11:12:30 PM
i dont think so, why would you need another forum while here you can get it all in one ? this is the first forum in cryptocurrency history though

Short answer is "no". The OP is probably concerned because he is a newbie and they don't have many bounties for that level on this forum. I will say though, as only a jr member, I went through a similar time very recently on here. This is what I would recommend...scour the bounty pages for twitter campaigns that allow newbies to participate, there are tons of them...the same goes for facebook and content/blog campaigns. The only campaigns that seem to exclude newbies are signature campaigns, but within a month you will be able to do those as well.
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin for Regular Transactions on: December 19, 2017, 10:35:27 PM
As many have stated I believe the answer is LTC, Dash, or Ripple out of the big ones. Out of those 3 Ripple probably has the highest chance to increase dramatically in value given the recent spike with Dash and LTC. So buy holding Ripple to do transactions with you are also putting yourself into a position to potentially make a good amount of cash just from holding on to it. I would vote Ripple right now due to those reasons listed above.
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Transfer airdrops from MEW directly into Etherdelta? on: December 19, 2017, 10:31:29 PM
Is it possible to do this? For example I have some airdrops that reached over $100 usd and I want to get rid of them so I have some eth for trading, but I don't have the initial eth for gas to get them from MEW to somewhere else...

I have googled a few options but it's still unclear to me if this is truly possible.

Can I import my MEW wallet (directly via private key or using meta mask) into Etherdelta so I can sell my airdropped tokens?

Have you done this before? How difficult is it and can you please outline the steps?

Much appreciated to any help and a big thanks for reading this.
516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin newbie - Needs assistance on: December 19, 2017, 10:27:44 PM
The truth is that LTC doesn't have to go that high for people to make a killing off it. Just recently LTC was at $50 and look at it now. If you invest only 1k into LTC and just hold it you would be doing better than to buy btc because of the fact that you can buy more LTC with that amount of money than you can btc. SO lets say you did spend 1k on ltc at $50 and you bought 20 coins. Right now your 20 coins would already be worth about 6k. And that is with them valued only at $300. If ltv even hit 1k a piece....which considering it just went 6fold...another 3x on top wouldn't be unheard of....you would have made about 19k from your 1k. You could simply not do that with btc because the price is too high and it would have to jump to 100k to see similar returns.
517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Eth] Collectible cat game (CryptoKitties) accountable for 2% of total gas usage on: December 19, 2017, 10:21:17 PM
The good thing is that the gas increase limit a lot of "free airdrop" scam. They can't handle a 1$ transaction fees so here we go, a fee market that filter real value asset. But it's not that bright. If ethereum want to be a blockchain for Dapp it need a lot of scaling improvement.

Yeah I did notice a lot of airdrops getting cancelled postponed which does smell of a bad project/scam. I think that given the amount of airdrops we were seeing this was actually a blessing in many ways. I am a beginner to this space, but there are many even more new than myself that don't realize when a scam is upon them. I hope the gas price goes down, but it stays high enough to detract airdrop scammers.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your recommendations for 150$ ? on: December 19, 2017, 10:17:50 PM
I would say to invest in an ICO or two that has tokens for less than $1. Look for ICOs with a ton of hype that will sell out during their launch period. If you can get in on something like I just described (similar to ethconnect/regal coin) then just wait until the ICO ends and a lot of people didn't get in. Hit the ICOs twitter page and other social networks and you will find people begging to buy the tokens before they even hit a major exchange. You can use the in platform exchange to sell to them. Ethconnect launched for around $.50 and people were buying them for $10 a week after launch. With the bonus of 20% and your $150 you could have made $3450 dollar in the week.

$150  invested at $.05/token with a 20% bonus = 360 ETH Connect tokens

The tokens were going for $10/token the week after they sold out during ICO.

360 x $10 = $3600 - $150 = $3450

Look for hyped up ICOs and try and flip your $150 ten fold+
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin vs. Bitcoin Cash on: December 19, 2017, 01:42:34 AM
Well, seeing at Bitcoin Cash is worth 7x that of LTC right now, and that LTC is climbing VERY quickly, you could buy more LTC with your investment money and gain a lager profit if they both stayed rising at the same pace as they have been. I did notice both have increased a bit over the last couple days, but for the person who has less to invest, LTC is the obvious choice.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crazy ICO or Crazy Me? on: December 19, 2017, 01:40:08 AM
I was looking to purchase an ICO at a discount.  The more I look into different offers, the more I see that things may be a scam- similar websites, over seas, similar advertisements.  It seems easy to raise millions.  In fact, now every ICO to me looks like a scam.  I don't want to miss out, but of course don't want to be scammed.

Has anyone noticed the same?  Has anyone invested money in an ICO and actually received valuable coins out of it?  If so, which website help you find it?

There are 3 main things to look at when trying to figure out if an ICO is a money grab (scam) or legitimate investment. I will number them in order of importance with 1. being the most important. These are not guarantees, but they will help you make some decisions regarding your investments.

1. Their ANN post in this forums. Does it have a lot of time, effort and money put into it? Are the graphics used in the post nicely done or quick and cheap? Does it seem like they have their $h!t together?

2. Their website. See above for things to look for...also see if they have a built in wallet/dashboard ready to send and receive tokens. Sign up/register and poke around the site.

3. Their whitepaper. Look for something that is obviously not a copy and paste job. Also, try and read through it for spelling errors/bad grammar/mistakes..etc.
