And there is finally the 0-1 for Barcelona. Looks like it's going to be another small but business win. Don't give anything away in the back and make sure you always score a goal in the front. In principle, you can become a champion with that. Girona can use the points otherwise, but that applies to all teams around the middle bracket. The differences to the relegation battle are very small. 4 points. Sevilla is also far from safe, but has started the 2nd half of the season better than at the start of the season in any case.

Can we now write off Ajax for the title? Probably. They are a mountain of points behind Feyenoord, but not only Feyenoord is the problem. Twente, AZ, and PSV all also have a chance of winning the championship. It is close to each other, and Ajax is only falling further and further in the ranking. I don't see them getting any closer either. Schreuder was fired yesterday, maybe that will work liberating for once and that players can play the way they want. These players wouldn't need a coach at all to win in matches against Volendam, would they? And Ajax was even 0-1 behind until the 80th minute. However, a draw also felt like a defeat for the Ansterdam team. Maybe they should bring back Peter Bosz.

In any case, Bosz has quite a bit of experience and also varying successes. But every coach has varying degrees of success. You cannot appoint a coach based on that. I think that nowadays a coach has to be able to deal well with players, that was Schreuder's big problem. Blind has therefore also left Ajax. Ajax's title chances have decreased sharply. I also did not expect Groningen to be at the very bottom. But after 3 games that can also look completely different. The level is close together. Only Feyenoord, Twente and AZ are playing the best football at the moment.

Too bad Carlsen couldn't win today. This way he still remains 1 point behind the leader. In the event of a tie, a jump-off is played between the front runners. In theory, Carlsen could still do the tournament, he doesn't have a bad draw in itself. But the 2 losses in a row will probably cost him his head. He has recovered very well from those defeats. Here, with a rating of 2700, you can easily become last without winning a game. I think this is also the Wimbledon of chess, because it is so heavily occupied. there will also be a lot of prize money to be won.

It remains an open match between Liverpool and Real Madrid. Both teams often fall behind, but the difference is that Real Madrid often manages to win its games. Liverpool may be in their worst spell of the last 20 years. I don't remember them dropping that many points before. Maybe because of Mane's departure? Possible. It's lucky they have Salah, but he can't do much on his own at the moment. Many mistakes are also made defensively. Perhaps some players will be brought in during the winter period, I think that innovations are needed to raise the level.
505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 26, 2023, 09:14:12 PM
Real Madrid are currently 0-1 behind at home for the Copa del Rey. Not too good but the 2nd half is just on its way. Atletico Madrid could use another success after the championship a few seasons ago. Real Madrid really seems to play in the strongest line-up, so they can't hide behind that. I just don't know if this is the final stage of the cup or if we're just getting started. Because we also had all the matches of the Super Cup recently. It is strange that it is all played in such a short time.

Maybe Juventus will lose even more players. I personally would not like to continue playing at a club that has been charged with fraud. As a player you may also run a certain risk financially. And Juventus players are generally all quite agile, they have found another club in no time. I also don't know to what extent players are loyal to Juventus in this regard. It is a pity that pogba now has to play football again in this situation, that transfer had actually been for nothing.

Ajax at half time a score of 0-0. Would it go wrong again for Ajax tonight? If you can't beat Volendam at home, it's about time the trainer was fired. Schreuder can't have that much credit, can he? He has also not achieved any significant achievements at his previous clubs. I think it's a great assistant coach, but not a head coach. Championship will be a very difficult story for Ajax anyway. If Ajax does not manage to win today, they are looking at a backlog of no less than 7 points on Feyenoord. But also Sparta could just go over Ajax in the ranking.
508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tom Brady's Gambling and HUGE loss. on: January 25, 2023, 07:56:49 PM
He is very rich and has a great wealth. He may have lost a lot gambling, but certainly not all of his wealth. And he's quite active in the movie business, he definitely gets a few million per movie he's in. But you don't know if he keeps gambling or decides to stop now. It is always difficult to verify such stories. Often things are hyped up in the media to get ratings. Incidentally, there are many more movie stars who become addicted to drugs, alcohol and that is regularly accompanied by a gambling addiction. But the difference is that these movie stars can miss the money quite easily since a lot of money comes in again over time.

Djokovic has made a big impression, this time on the tennis court. He wins against opponents as if they were on the tennis court for the first time. Only Tstitsipas seems to be a serious challenger in a possible final. Djokovic will also have little trouble in the semi-final. He was visibly irritated during his match about certain supporters, but as a top tennis player you also have to be able to handle criticism. And completely in his situation. There are still many people who disagree with how Djokovic went through the Corona period and deliberately did not get vaccinated. You should draw a line under that, but in the station some people had been drinking and then they can get annoying.

PSV lost to Emmen yesterday. Still one of the teams that would normally get into relegation problems. But today Twente also does not seem to win at Vitesse. 2-2 with a few minutes left in the game. Feyenoord seems to be the most stable after all. AZ also put down a good series, but it can be noted that the opponents were of a significantly lesser level. Feyenoord now has some strong opponents and in the coming matches we will see if PSV and Ajax can still find the connection. I do not rule out that Ajax and PSV might end up 3rd and 4th in the final standings. Still a disappointment for national football, since Ajax in particular has by far the most money and has spent it in recent months. Maybe just a bad transfer policy?
511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 25, 2023, 07:25:26 PM
It looks like Borussia Dortmund is not going to win. 1-1 out at Mainz. And that, while the score was already 1-1 after 4 minutes. I thought there would be quite a few goals but it looks like we won't get a single goal after the 4th minute in this game that is in injury time of the game. A 7th place for Dortmund, the difference with even number 2 Leipzig is only 3 points, but you should still win these kinds of matches. The only positive for Dortmund is that Haaler is back, but he will be brought quietly and will have to make do with substitute appearances to ensure that he does not get injured.

Dont know if we can already say that they at the end of the season the real winner.
For that to much unexpected results are comming right now , next game is against Cologne and then in Frankfurt and they are also have a good run at the moment.
Worlfsburg and Freiburg we dont have to talk about it as i guess we dont we see some kind of Freiburg again after that match.

Glad and happy that Dortmund has managed to win there game agianst Augsburg even they got a bit of Luck in a few situations.
I also expected that Leverkusen will win about Gladbach so , yesterday was a good day for my bets.

Well, it is not 100% sure who is going to win the league title obviously. But in my opinion, it is more than 99% sure that it is going to be Bayern Munich. Because I do not see any other team which is capable of winning the league title except for them. There are other teams who can compete against them. Probably also give them a little trouble. But in the end, they are not going to be consistent enough to win the title. And right now no team is actually close enough to give them trouble in my opinion. But it is actually going to be interesting if Bayern Munich somehow manages to lose matches consistently.

In theory it may not be 100%, but we can say 99% that Bayern Munich will win the title. For example, you could hypothetically always say that someone is not going to win the title for 100%. Even if the lead is 20 points with 7 games left, in theory it is not 100% certain. Bayern Munich is definitely the best all season long. And now we're also halfway through the league and they're easily at the top as well. Competition leaves too many points. It was good for Leipzig that they achieved a draw against Munich, but against lesser opponents the difference is often made by Bayern.

Louis van Gaal is free again as a trainer. He has trained the Dutch national team for the past 1.5 years, but that task is now being performed by Ronald Koeman. Maybe some teams are interested in him. There would also be interest from the Belgian federation, because Martinez has left there. Furthermore, I don't see any big striking names appearing on the transfer market yet. There are several rumors about players, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Ajax in particular seems to have had a lousy transfer policy in terms of incoming transfers lately since the start of the competition in August.
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 23, 2023, 07:15:58 PM
Barcelona wins its games too hard. If you win every time by only 1 goal with a result like 1-0, for example, then it is only a matter of time before things go wrong. So far things are going in the right direction at Barcelona, but you won't keep that luck. Real Madrid makes goals a little easier in that respect, but also puts more risk in the game. Perhaps Xavi has deliberately built this mechanism in and the focus is mainly on the defensive part in order to concede little to no goals. In that respect it is a successful mission, but I would also like to see more in the front.

Tonight Inter has the chance to start the hunt for 2nd place. I don't see Inter becoming champions anymore, even though they recently won the mutual match against Napoli. In the current rankings on various websites, Juventus' penalty has already been included and the points have been deducted. Atalanta has also climbed up the rankings and the difference with, for example, the number 2, AC Milan, is only a few points. Anyone from the top 7 can just become second, I wouldn't dare to point out a favorite based on the current position. Just a little while and then Sampdoria will even be in last place. A downfall.

Manchester City have had some bad luck on a number of occasions, but a few times they have also just performed poorly. Just like the time they were eliminated by Lyon, that should not happen to a club like City. The top in international football has also become much broader and stronger. You have a big competition every year with different teams that all have serious chances to win the CL. 10 years ago it was actually unthinkable that a club outside Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Real Madrid would win the CL. Even when Inter won the CL in 2010, it came as a surprise. Mourinho has already won the CL with 3 different clubs. Also a huge achievement, especially then in the year with Porto.

Simple victory from AS Roma visiting Spezia. In 4th place now together with Inter, which has played one game less. If AC Milan wins, the difference with leader Napoli will be 9 points. A lot, maybe too much at the moment. It is nice for the teams in the top that Juventus has now dropped many places due to the penalty. That gives all teams a better perspective to reach European football. Juventus' appeal is yet to be determined. In this case, a penalty can also be even higher. By the way, Roma has only scored 25 goals and conceded 16 goals. It's pretty good that you're tied for third place.

Carlsen has now recovered with 2 victories in a row. Especially today's victory shows that we shouldn't write Carlsen off. Difference with the leader is 1.5 points. A considerable gap, but in this tournament 13 rounds are played, so we are only just over halfway. Carlsen is a player who can still score 5 out of 6 in the last 6 games once he gets going. But of course he is no longer the favorite for the title. Whether he will lose a lot of points will depend on the 2nd tournament half. I read that he has already won this tournament about 8 times, that is really a lot. Perhaps more than Kasparov ever before in this tournament. It's a pity that man has stopped playing chess.
519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eredivisie 22/23 - discussion thread on: January 22, 2023, 06:29:13 PM
This draw has increased Ajax's winless streak to six matches. The match was quite balanced but Ajax could have really lost there. Feyenoord did a great work with keeping the 1-0 advantage for a long time.

The gap with the leader is still five points maybe but this season is really worrying for Ajax. They haven't been good in either the Eredivisie or the Champions League. I wonder what they will do when they compete in the Europa League on one hand. I assume their main focus would still be on the Eredivisie. Because their joining the Champions League again is more likely by this method. It is much more difficult to win the Europa League title while there are many tough challengers.

Ajax is having a bad season. Funny to see that the coach indicates that Ajax is still growing. As if it were an amateur club that is getting better and better. Didn't manage to win 6 games in a row, and we're talking about the Eredivisie, not about the EPL for example. I see only one solution and that is to get rid of Schreuder as quickly as possible, who will certainly not submit his resignation if you hear him say that. The biggest problem is that he can't deal with the players either. But because Feyenoord didn't win today, Ajax is still in the race for the title. AZ is also a serious contender together with Twente. But individually, Ajax has by far the strongest selection. Why it doesn't work is not really clear to anyone.
520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 22, 2023, 06:18:58 PM
A great match from Tsitsipas and Sinner. Tsitsi initially seemed to be heading for an easy victory with a 2-0 lead in sets, but Sinner fought back and at 2-2 in sets it could go either way. Tsitsipas is not just the number 3 in the world, today it became clear why. He is one of the players who could beat Djokovic. But that will also depend on how Djokovic's body is doing. I don't know if his injury has gotten any better. At least 1.5 days of rest now before his next match. His next game is against DiMinaur who comes from Australia and can therefore count on massive support from the home crowd. That could have an impact on the score. It could also be that Djokovic has to give up injured at any point in the game. Hamstring injuries can be very painful.
