If Putin really is only interested in peace, how about US making it a joint effort and sending their own troops to stand and protect alongside the Russian troops.
US prefers to do dirty job with foreign hands. And unfortunately they still consider Russia is enemy. Chaos in Ukraine is indirect attack on Russia. Putin absolutely correctly understood it and reacted well. |

Yes, they tried to invade Ukrainian far-right fascists to Crimea, but they forgot history of Sevastopol, how much USSR soldiers died defending this territory from German nazi. This was fatal mistake. I hope Russians will kick away fascists back to Ternopol and I will personally shoot any american here for what they'd done with us. All say "Obama, Obama". Obama is just a public puppet. |

If NATO will come here - it would be direct conflict with country with nuclear weapons (Russia).
On other side, Russia will not step back. Russia will either annex half of Ukraine or will start war with nato.

I am Ukrainian, live in Ukraine. And here what I think.
Most of protestors were peaceful. But Libia, Egypt and Syria scenario had been played in full. Now far-right forces got the power and terrify people here. Especially russian-spoken people who live in Crimea and South-East.
No police. No laws. Only fear.
Russian army really invaded Crimea to stop those neo-fascists called right sector. And this was without any battle, as most crimeans are russians and they support Russian army.
New neo fascist government now mobilizes regular citizens to fight againsts russian professionals without weapons (all weapons were already sold to Georgia and other hot spots through corruption schemes). I don't take this mobilization seriosly, because this would bee shoot in the meat.
Future. I think World War 3 will start from here. Unfortunately. Thanks to EU/US who actively supported fascists.
