It's funny.  Any time someone says "CPU ONLY MINING!! YEAH!"  I can just picture Christian twitching and breaking the "cpu only" algo asap

504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 18, 2014, 05:00:06 PM

Is it possible to give CUDA miners the advantage first for these coins? As I see it,AMD cardholders have a massive advantage even if they get a few hours extra. I really appreciate all your work and I understand that that there exists neither an obligation nor a reward for you to do this, but it's just a request. Thanks again.

AMD miners have a massive advantage over CPU miners now, but none of these folks will get as many coins as I just collected over night (well unless their farms are massive and they let it run for quite a while)

By the way at 4 AM in the morning (CET) I had just finished the code and got my rigs up and running and I desperately wanted to get some sleep. At 7 AM I had to get up to get my son to daycare and afterwards I went to work. Now tell me when exactly you would have wanted me to release this Wink  Forfeiting my sleep is not an option.

Christian

I think Christian might be saying that his cuda version kicks some serious ass  Cheesy

I can tell you the ati/sgminer blows for older cards.  Even as high as 7950s don't seem to be very impressive.  the older 5000 and 6000 series are low 20s at best.

A CUDA based heavycoin and fuguecoin miner will be released some time tonight (CET), as both of these coins are AMD GPU mineable now.

This is not the cudaminer project, so it doesn't haveall the bells and whistles like autotune or automatic GPU architecture selection.

It was fun to hold 50% of the fuguecoin network's hash rate with a small pool of nVidia cards.  But fun seldom lasts forever Wink

Oh fond memories...

512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ****EUROPACOIN Official ANNOUNCEMENT **** [ANN] on: March 17, 2014, 04:49:03 AM
Has anyone even solved a block yet?

Depends. Do Orphans count? If so then yes, I have 35 of them.

373 of em here
This is ridiculous, found one block cpu mining. Now nothing but orphans and rejects with gpu

635 orphans.  Managed to get one block in at the very start.  Somethign definately seems jacked

I'm thinking the V dev team is sleeping or maybe pulling their hair out trying to figure out wtf is going on... Either way I'm gonna go back to waiting.

They need a break.

a block every second or every other second since 9 this morning?   I thought it was supposed to be about a block every minute.   40% of the block chain increased since this morning. That does not sound right.

Well the dev stated the diff retargeting will take time.  Plus all the mining time the coin lost..  As long as the fast mining doesn't continue for TOO long shouldnt be an issue

atm:
zeus pool block = 82782
dev block chain = 74000

Forked again?

Problem is the retarget algo?

Hrm.  I appear to be on a diff chain than zeus as well. currently block 76637 for me

Everything i had mined last night is gone.  Not sure if i was somehow off on my own fork and it re-corrected or what may have happened
there.  Deleted and redownloaded the blocks just in case

Keep in mind in not bitching, just sharing info.
