I'm using this for my bat for my gtx760. :start cudaminer.exe -o STRATUM -O LOGIN -H 1 -i 0 -C 1 -l K6x32 --time-limit 3600 goto start It kills the cudaminer process after an hour, and restarts the loop. I was getting many different errors with some stratums after 2 hours or so, no problems ever since I've been using this loop. Thanks Bombadil. I will try your script with "nvidia-smi >> log" to record how the card has been working. It turns out not to be a good idea for this case because when the miner is restarted it has a good chance (like 2 in 3 times) to have the error right in the start. So auto-restarting it every hour when the miner still runs fine means getting into trouble in 2/3 certainty every hour. I wonder if putting in a delay before re-launching might help. It may be that the restart being so fast causes things to "get stuck" in memory, causing errant data to be introduced into the new instance. It may also cause havoc with the clocks.

hey all I posted this suggestion a few days back and I think this most transparent way for Christian and the community to keep track of everything Maybe christian can set a target donation and announce a BTC address. If target is reached he can release the next version. He can also set may be max/min donation amount so that everyone can give only fair share of the whole amount. This can be done through something like https://moolah.ioAnyone can see donation amount on the blockchain. I am sure making this official will bring in lots of donations. For special releases people can pledge a % of what they make to Christian which they do even now I guess. This will also give more exposure to christian and cudaminer.

nope , this will only make people to replace with AMD video cards and use free OpenCL software. 4 years ago when BTC cost $1 had one paid CUDA miner , against him there were 4 free OpenCL miner with much much high speed. This not working.

I am not saying that he should not release until donation target is hit. He always releases when a version is ready but this will make donations official and I am sure this will increase the donations.

Guys, I'm thinking of hooking my old pc up for some mining, but I don't have a spare screen, nor do I have actually room on my desk to place one. So I was thinking of software to remote control your desktop, and I am wondering if any of you have experience with that regarding mining. If so, how did it work out?
Also, can I apply an over/underclock during mining, or should I halt the miner first?

You can apply over/underclock during mining. You would likely need to use a monitor to get everything running, but for management you can use something like TightVNC and connect into your computer. It might be a little slow trying to move your mouse around and control things, but as long as the computer hasn't crashed it'll work just fine.

I use Team Veiwer to remote control 3 of my rigs with no monitor. I made dummy plugs for them. Of course I had to hook them up to the monitor to get everything installed but after that it works fine. I can remote control them from my phone or tablet or my main rig when I am at home since they are spread out over the house.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks

A CUDA based heavycoin and fuguecoin miner will be released some time tonight (CET), as both of these coins are AMD GPU mineable now. This is not the cudaminer project, so it doesn't haveall the bells and whistles like autotune or automatic GPU architecture selection. It was fun to hold 50% of the fuguecoin network's hash rate with a small pool of nVidia cards. But fun seldom lasts forever Christian

I really appreciate all your work and I understand that that there exists neither an obligation nor a reward for you to do this, but it's just a request. Thanks again.

AMD miners have a massive advantage over CPU miners now, but none of these folks will get as many coins as I just collected over night (well unless their farms are massive and they let it run for quite a while) By the way at 4 AM in the morning (CET) I had just finished the code and got my rigs up and running and I desperately wanted to get some sleep. At 7 AM I had to get up to get my son to daycare and afterwards I went to work. Now tell me when exactly you would have wanted me to release this Forfeiting my sleep is not an option. Heavycoin could have been released earlier, but even with the first mover advantage I (presumably) had over the course of several days my profits were small: 0.5 BTC overall. So not worth it. Christian

Christian I think Christian might be saying that his cuda version kicks some serious ass I can tell you the ati/sgminer blows for older cards. Even as high as 7950s don't seem to be very impressive. the older 5000 and 6000 series are low 20s at best.

I am thinking that , too, mainly because it would allow the card to cool down before restarting. This problem came with the 12-18 version which made the card very hot (88C, 45% fan load)
