Supernodes should spread on the planet as much as possible. It is supposed to be a decentraliced network.

Well the point of Supernodes is to have a very strong, worldwide distributed, network. So there isn´t a point if we all could just do a couple supernodes from the same place. Not for nothing there is a "guaranteed" payout, as long you pass the tests, which gives incentive to people starting a Supernode.

I am sure you made that account on btt just because you are a warm hearted guy that wants to help all us nemsters.

Devs are working on Catapult still, but there should still be a minor NIS release coming soon that addresses a few small issues founds since the last release.

Давеча тут немного поэкспериментировал - пытался установить ноду (не суперноду) для харвестинга. Пытался установить на Cubieboard2 - одноплатный миникомпьютер.
Характеристики этой платки:
Dual core ARM cortex-A7 processor, NEON, VFPv4, 512KB L2 cache
Mali400mp2, OpenGL ES GPU
1GB DDR3 @480MHz
HDMI 1080p Output

Пришлось повозиться, так как не очень силен в этом деле. Но все-таки, в результате, мне это удалось!
За сутки работы сгенерировалось три блока, правда, все нулевые. Но нагрузка и обороты NEM сейчас никакие Примерно столько же получалось и на обычном нормальном компе.

В общем итоге - можно сделать ноду для харвестинга и на мелком одноплатном миникомпьютере с одним гигом памяти. При этом нода на таком миникомпе потребляет совсем мало - пару ватт. То есть можно ставить на круглосуточную работу и не бояться за оплату электроэнергии

Собственно чем в NEM супернода отличается от ноды? Ничем, тот же софт, плюс еще только программка Servant для мониторинга ноды. Увеличенные требования необходимы только в случаях, когда к одной суперноде подключатся десятки-сотни Lightwallets. Т.е. речь идет о возможности выдерживать пиковые нагрузки. Контроль супернод происходит по готовности к этим нагрузкам.


Попытка - не пытка, в любой момент можно попробовать свой узел в кач. суперноды, по http://supernodes.nem.io/ будет виден результат.

Эти вопросы лучше освещены в оригинальной ветке или на форуме. На форуме девы постоянно тусуются, можно сразу получить ответ.Я запускал ноду на харвест. Минимум 2 гика памяти, на трафик особо не смотрел все равно без лим. Проц я думаю подойдет любой из последних, нагрузка там не большая.

While there's clearly some differences in specific things, such as the AAAAAAAA(((((((((((((((((((( and so forth, the constant incessant posting, overall approach, grammar, etc is so similar I can't help but think it's the same person.

I mean, he has to know that no one's going to give him a couple million NEM, especially with this childish behaviour.. All his points have been shot down in great detail (thanks jabo38), and he's been a bit of a jerk from the get-go, lobbing accusations before even trying to resolve the 'issue'. If he truly was looking for a solution, no sensible person would approach is this way.. Plus the suddenly INSANE level of activity after 2 years of total silence on the account, and just a single day of activity 2 years ago - it's just SO obvious that it's a sockpuppet account.. Plus - no sign that this person ever posted anything pertaining to NEM before a few days ago. It's just about impossible to believe that this is his sole and primary account, and that his story is true.

Plus, if you lost a $25 investment, how many hours would you spend freaking out about it? If he's really in finance, he'd realize that there's no ROI in this behaviour. Clearly trolling just as he has several times using his other sockpuppet accounts to try to bring prices down by tainting the tone of discourse on this thread.
