The Apollo Moon landings are #FAKENEWS.

It was tested on myth busters in a vacuum chamber, how about instead of blatantly making claims, without even understanding basic science, do these tests yourself first, before just using these as "so called" evidence for flat-earth. Vibrations, from movement nearby causes the flag to move.

You ideally want a lens with a low-f-number, Canon 50mm f/1.2L and depends on what the shot is. A good people's lens/wedding ones will generally be 85-105. However, a 105 f1.4 can easily run $2500-$3500, a very expensive lens.

And if the sun was 10x further, and 10x bigger, it would appear the same size in the sky, and your saxtant would have the same measurement on it, including
the angles on the airplane.

^^^ When one takes a reading with a caliper the reading is true, it is the truth. The reading is not faith based, it's not conjecture,  it's not arbitrary, it's not opinion, it's not the result of consensus, it's not the product of ideology, it's not a belief and, it's not a concept.

The same applies when one takes a reading with a sextant; it measures angles on a plane. If you disagree with direct measurement then you've got a problem with the truth.

A rope around your neck can help you overcome this problem you have with the truth.

What about the alien on another planet, on an alternate thread, that say his world is a flat triangle with a triangle dome on top. Why is he wrong, and you are right?
508  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: February 02, 2019, 06:48:23 AM
Notbatman, why does your construct of an ideology flat earth only exist, and it's the only 100% right one? Alternate thread, different race, one similar to you would say "It's not a globe", it's this shape. Why is his wrong, and your concept is the only true and right one?

When you think about it, why does the entire model/universe/construct have to be conveniently shaped around what you believe, and think is, in fact, the truth.

Additional rule:

★ Failing to meet the minimum post requirement for two rounds will result in a tier payment drop and another user in 1 lower tier automatically swapping with your tier position, each consecutive failures for the minimum post requirement will result in additional tier drops and swaps, if you are in the last tier, you will automatically drop out of the campaign.

^^^ The textured surface would grind against you as it turns, not only would you feel it but you're likely to get an Indian burn.

Relative motion, the Earth has been spinning for billions of years. Initially, there was a violent reaction as the star was born, as such if you accelerate to 100 km/hr very quickly you feel the G force, but then feel nothing.

A train traveling 400-600 KM/hr, and the coin stands vertically upwards stably. The Earth is like the train moving and you are on it. Your lack of science and knowledge is quite outstanding  Cheesy
Go back to your flat earth nonsense.

We have identified the cause of this bug. User seeds were being stored 0-padded if their length did not exactly line up with a byte. The actual user seed used on that bet was 2b8022eb2dce9502365dc9ff803315901c84cbeef9ef13595 and not 02b8022eb2dce9502365dc9ff803315901c84cbeef9ef13595. We will be correcting our results page to account for the 0-padding in our storage shortly. This bug does not in any way affect the results of games. Just how we store the user seeds to later show proofs.
We are going offline now for planned hardware upgrades. The expected downtime is about 1 - 1.5 hours.

Planned hardware upgrades?? 15 minutes after a HUGE bug is reported? What are the odds? Were these "planned upgrades" planned 14 minutes before this announcement? The average person might not understand 0-padded seeds. Maybe we can get a better explanation? It seems that the timing here is too close for coincidence. How about just saying, "Thanks for reporting this bug. You really helped us out. We'll be going offline till it's fixed. Sorry for the downtime". Whatever happened with the person that discovered it originally? I haven't seen his account in chat since this happened.

Well, zodiac investigated it and determined it just a few hours, before the hardware upgrade. Pushed out both the updates, along with the announcements around the same time.
Disk I/O improved by 500-600%, and disk latency, from switching to a top tier nvme data center drive.
